Maine is a great state to live in but the low inventory of houses are driving up the cost and affluent people from elsewhere are over bidding local residents out of these desirable houses for families especially real-estate moguls looking to cash in on the housing boom, surprise surprise 😮 for quick money or a portfolio they will upsell the property after a couple of years or so of a booming housing market or they will rent them out for exorbitantly high prices. Unfortunately videos like this have added to the publicity of this market 😟 It's a free country 🇺🇲 no doubt and if you have the money it's your right to make more money. Unfortunately some of this way of thinking has become an all too common theme that has not created honest capitalism. Instead it brings over capitalism and up charges of even basic necessities have become too common and trying to change a culture and a way of life that doesn't need any changing just to appease to business minded folks looking to just enrich themselves off the backs and legacies of those who actually want to live and thrive here without any unnecessary influences. Look at how New Hampshire has changed so much and has become more like neighboring Massachusetts especially with its taxes and high cost of living making it the 2nd costliest state to live in New England on average. Maine is for now the cheapest but definitely not compared to the rest of the country. See the connection 🤔 Capitalism is great 💰💰 when it has merits and reputation building components ingrained in its formulation. When there isn't any or little of, you start seeing what we see now. Family businesses selling out or being forced to close due to being unable to compete with multi conglomerate organizations that just merge and wipe away most competition to control the markets. Every state that adopts this mentality has severe issues especially with income inequality. Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, California, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Michigan etc are the main players and have unnecessary problems due to the aforementioned. So please come and enjoy yourself and become a part of the community and be honest. People have dug their roots deep here to get away and prevent that kind of behavior and scenario from happening in the first place. So please if your looking for tranquility and a fulltime recreational lifestyle that has 6 months of cold weather on average 😮 then Maine is your place. If your looking for a quick buck and ruin Maine's natural beauty and way of life to achieve this then stay in the state you probably have already ruined and tolerate the way of life you and your constitutes have created. Maine is looking for more honest hardworking people and doesn't need more of the dishonest lazy drug riddled elements these likeminded people unfortunately influence. Maine is the way life should be ✌🏽🇺🇲

Visited Maine for the first time this weekend. Loved it but only really saw the Portland area and some local/semi-local hiking spots.
