Accelerating at 2000rpm and 2nd gear = not quick. You can hear the M2 was in 1st gear.
Hence the immediate difference.
Both of these cars are fast.
So it sucks bcuz tha m2 should smoke a normal 2series even tho we did not consider em on the track

Der m2 ist nur schneller am Gas bei der Fahrzeuge sind gleich schnell. keiner fährt dem anderen davon. der M2 kann seinen Vorteil hinsichtlich Performance lediglich auf der Rennstrecke ausspielen. der neue B58 ist schon eine ganz ordentliche Entwicklung. Wenn man beide Fahrzeuge hauptsächlich im normalen Straßenverkehr lohnt der m2 absolut nicht, es sei denn man steht auf die Coupe Optik und dicke Backen

Why the M240i wasn't in Manual ? The waste of time when it downshift in S
It will be closer if the M240i was in Manual as the M2...
The M2 has a DCT, at each gear change it'd pull from the M240i. If it was a manual M240i the difference would be bigger.
I think if the M240i was in manual mode with the steptronic transmission as the M2 was.

Oh lol that's what you meant but no this is a torque converter so they're usually better in auto mode
The B58 engine is better, but the N55 of the M2 has a very aggressive over boost tinning in the low 300-4600 RPMs, that will always over take the stock m240i. I have the M2 with DCT and pulls just like the M4 up to the quater mile. The M2 is indeed a very fast car.
The M2 takes the lead at the start because of the slow kickdown of the M240i. If the M240i started in the right gear it would be very very close.

The 718 has "only" 300hp and the m2 370hp so this would be a close battle
The M2 tops speed can be deregulated
The 718 stats are higher than the M2. The 718 can do 4sec to 4.2w with the M2 DCT. The new 718 doesn't drive as well as the previous gen with the NA engine. The M2 seem to feel better than the new 718 but not than the previous cayman

If you're talking about the 40km/h roll it wasn't a problem of gearbox, the traction control kicked in.

0-60 mph or 1/4 mile M2 and M2Comp are the same, only over 100mph M2c is significantly faster.
The m235i beat the m2 last time and the m240i can’t it’s probably a bad driver because the m235i makes 325hp and m240i makes 340hp
There was sth wrong with that M2 in other vid. My M2 stock does 100-200 in 10.3s , the one from vid was sth like 13s ...
Stellt euch aufm kopf, der M2 ist der einzige von beiden der den Buchstaben ///M verdient. Auch wenn der (M)240i schneller wäre,was er ja nicht ist. Ein Mercedes e63 amg fährt auf der Autobahn beide in grund und boden. Trotzdem ist die e-klasse kein sportwagen, genauso wenig die der 240 !
Gihfj Tuena Kann es sein, dass du dumm bist? Sowas kann man nicht vergleichen. Die Konkurrenz des e63 ist der M5 und der M5 schlägt den E63/E63s in jeder Hinsicht!
Die M-Performance-Modelle gab es schon vor den reinen ///M-Modellen......dass die Performance-Modelle das ///M nicht verdienen ist Quatsch, vor allem bei dem B58-Motor....
