One of the best repair videos I have seen - clear, slow pace, easy to follow. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I've been searching everywhere for this repair video. Thank you so much for this excellent step-by-step instruction on the process.
We are happy to hear our video helped!
@@sterlingappliance Yes, thank you so much. I too have been searching for this video. It was a godsend.
The plastic nut is exactly my issue, its cracked and popped off. Thank you for this excellent step by step video. New parts already ordered, go figure they went to a metal nut, wonder why...
Glad we could help!
Thank you, this helped a ton. Didn’t need to replace the unit just the o-ring on the top. The large nut on the inside of the tub that secures the container to the tub broke and it was leaking. I wanted to replace the o-ring along with the nut as it had calcium build up from the leak.
We're glad our video helped with your repair!
Hi, thanks so much for this video! Have you experienced many leaking gaskets above the zeolite container, and does that typically require tightening the nut or is replacing the part is more common?
Yes, this is a very common problem that can ruin the zeolite granules, replacing the nut with the upgraded part is recommended and will require part number 10014987 and the Cap wrench 00342189. Let us know if this helped or if you have any other repair questions!
After seven years of use I had the same problem, it seems to me that it was the heat which damaged this part of the tube...
My spray arm has a hole in it, exactly where you told it would be. I taped it with a sticky aluminum tape, and the washer was working for almost 40 minutes, but still stopped with E07 code. Do you think there's a chance the water will evaporate gradually? I don't want to disassemble the whole thing :(
Do you know if the new models have the upgraded part from the factory, or do all zeolite models have this potential problem?
We cannot confirm new models have the updated retaining nut at this time. We will try to update with new information as it becomes available.
My model is Siemens SX878D16PE/16 with Zeolith. I cannot seem to get the control board removed - It is very tight (Part 9 001 140 276). It appears that it will not come out unless the Zeolith Fan is removed which seems excessive. I am just trying to get access to the heat pump to replace as it has a hole in it. Any advice?
thanks
My control panel is firmly attached to the door cover. It DOES NOT just slide out. Any suggestions?
