We loved our time in Laos, and wish we had longer to explore. The Mekong river cruise has to be at the top of our list of things we did there for sure. It's like a sail down memory lane. Thanks for sharing guys!
Getting good seats on the slow boat is an ADVENTURE. Everyone on our boat was moving the seats around to get more leg room, so if you were one of the last ones on the boat the seat barely had enough room to put your legs in hahaha good times😅
Okay so, we booked a bus using 12 go Asia (JTTT Travel was the company name) from Chiang Rai that took us all the way to the boarder of Laos and then there was a worker from the same company on the other side after we passed through immigration that took us to the port of Huay Xai. This was great but they were pretty late picking us up 😅 If you need a visa for Laos just make sure you have all your documents in order before you book this. When then purchased our tickets for the boat at the port. Are you planing on going and doing the 2 day cruise?
