One of your best! I would’ve liked for it to be twice as long… and your drone shots continue to be some of the best on RUclips! Great to see your subscriber numbers rising again as well.🥰
Hey Jordan and Emily! Loved watching your adventure as you crossed from Thailand to Laos by that boat-what an incredible journey! Wishing you both an amazing time exploring Laos. Hope you make some unforgettable memories and can't wait to see you back in Thailand again soon! Safe travels! 🇹🇭❤
We took this trip last year and it was epic. Our guide also taught us a little bit of the language. He said there is lots of mispronouncing of his country’s name, so he taught us this: He said my name is La, the people from my country are Lao, but my country’s name is Laos (yes you pronounce the “S”. Awesome video, brings back so many good memories.
Beautiful video guys..hey Jordan, do you ever feel a bit nervous throwing the drone up in that part of the world, in case..well you know,. someone decides it might record something it shouldn't, if you get my drift. All sorts of, umm..industries tucked away in that jungle Id reckon.. Thought this too when you were in Colombia back then..
There are certainly times we're I feel a bit uneasy but in only takes a couple of seconds before the drone is so high it can't be seen or heard! I just try to pick my moments haha
I did that journey in 2003 and there were just a handful of us and we had to be escorted by a representative of the communist party of Laos. half way up the Mekong we stayed the night in the most basic accommodation I've ever stayed in. The walls were made of wood and newspaper. Once getting to the ancient capital I stayed in a place that was 90 cents a night and when I left to go get food, the family I stayed with insisted I ate with them as the power to the whole town was turned off at 8 or 9pm. To this day its the hottest thing i've ever eaten. A bowl of Mekong river weed of some description with extra extra rocket fuel. Luang Prabang was beautiful. I do hope it hasn't been ruined by tourism.
Woah!! What an experience! We'd love to find somewhere in the world that's still like that! There's certainly a lot more tourism than what you described but it's noticeably less than it's south east Asian counterparts!
I noticed "Happy Honeymoon" on the bed. Did you two get married? I'm a bit behind on your videos. I just jumped ahead because I'll be visiting Luang Prabang soon.
@@JordanandEmily Personally, I have encountered some bad things for me in Laos, but I hope you enjoy your trip in Laos. It has beautiful nature, but it may be a bit difficult to travel around.

Of course we are! Why would we be afraid?
