@@Nuuk_ No, it’s not a disrespect at all to let other themes from the Original Games shine, and besides DOOM Eternal already used a variation of At DOOM’s Gate in the intro, so why not use Into Sandy’s City, which would pay homage to DOOM II which DOOM Eternal has plenty of ties to (with the returning demons, the battles on Earth, Icon of Sin, etc.), at the end of DOOM Eternal? Especially since At DOOM’s Gate was already played in the beginning and end of DOOM 2016.

I think it should have ended with Doomguy triumphant over the broken bodies of his enemies, and the epic voice over "in the first age, in the first battle, when shadows first lengthened, one stood." and then roll credits.
When I was making the final home stretch to confront The Icon of Sin, I thought it only appropriate to change to the classic Doom Marine skin to finish the game for the final showdown. And to create a "full circle" moment when you remember the "flashback" to his recovery by the priests and how he was found with his "helmet". In my mind, I pretend that he recovered his old armor as he killed them and finally brought everything to a close.
I'm not a fan of the new Doom games, but I would have purchased this game just to beat the game to watch this ending, just to hear Into sandy's city remake with that end scene. The creators were Dumb AF! for not including this. They should've listened to Mick Gordon he knew wtf he was doing when he created this clip for them.
Sandy city is such a good song. and mick's remix slaps so damn hard. But I think it's the faster tempo was the reason why they wanted it removed. The slower tempo of the original would of fit the pace better I feel
Its one of the most popular songs from the original game but unfortunalty didnt really make it into Eternal. Just would have been nice to get a full remaster like we got for Doom 2s Map 30.

I think Reclaimed Earth should have had a segment where we look at the Icon of Sin's corpse.
Maybe some small shelters have been built on it, and the Crucible blade is surrounded by a shrine of some sort.
