Very instructional video on tightening the alternator belt, I replaced the alternator myself, but noticed I get a belt squeak. Now I know how to properly tighten the belt ! Thank you. RUclips videos save me time and money 😁

For the air conditioner belt is it the same procedure on this generation Elantra as the 01-06 model ? I see you have a video for the 01-06 but I have an 08, thanks!
Hi, great job guys, I'm always comfortable buying parts from 1aauto. However my 2011 sonata makes a cranky noise whenever I'm reversing and turning the steering, so what could be the possible.problem
Hi. Love your vids! Can the belt cause the EPS light to come on and get hard steering? It happened to me yesterday while driving luckily I was only going 20 miles an hour and the steering went out so pulled over turn the engine off I turned it back on and it’s fine now. So maybe it’s not the belt would you have an idea what it is?
*...HI I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEO...CAN I KNOW HOW MANY BELT HAVE IN HYUNDAI AVANTE??? I JUST KNOW TIMING BELT AND ALTERNATOR BELT... HOW MANY MORE BELT WE NEED TO CHANGE??...*
This should work for all cars with the Beta2 Hyundai engine (perhaps even the Beta1 with some variation). Including older 00-10 Elantras, 97-08 Tiburons, 04-09 Tuscons, 03-08 Kia Spectras, 04-10 Kia Sportage, and 08-11 Kia Souls, etc... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Beta_engine
This was a helpful video, but is not representative of the work involved. My 2008 Hyundai Elantra has a second shield on the wheel well and another shield near the oil pan drain plug. The extra wheel well shield means you can't get where you need to go by turning the wheel. I had decided taking the wheel off wasn't for me and there's that extra shield there, too. The oil pan shield means you can't reach the bottom pulley. By jacking up the car and removing the oil pan shield (remove the back two 10 mm bolts and loosen the front to swing the shield out of the way), I could reach the bottom pulley. While I appreciate that a mechanic will have better tools than I do, it was disappointing to me that the only thing I could use a socket set on was the oil pan shield. The accessibility of the tension bolt only allowed me to get a small 12mm straight wrench on it ... frustrating and slow. The video clearly shows the proper top bolt to loosen/tighten when shot from the driver's side of the car. However, when standing above, from the front of the car, I got confused and loosened a different nearby 12mm bolt. When the alternator would not move with (supposedly) everything loose then I figured out my mistake and went back to the video to confirm. For a once-a-year mechanic, this job was a pain. Glad it's done.
There is two there. One for alternator and one for the A/c. There’s also a timing belt on the car that needs to be changed eventually but that’s different location.
+Insidious Lord This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1AAuto.com

Do you need to do the alternator adj if you're just doing a new ac compressor?

If the belt is just a bit tad loose and slight squeal on startup, should I just try tightening up the adjustment bolt?
I love how you abandoned the lower bolt that was stripped. good job though
Sooooo did you replace the alternator off cam?
Quick question is there more than one belt on this vehicle of only that one?
Yes there are 2 belts, one for the alternator and one for A/C

Where is the ac compressor belt replacement? Also my 2008 Elantra have no power steering belt.

Is there only one belt to change on 2010 Elantra?
2 belts. The other belt is for the Air Conditioner. This belt is for the Water Pump/Alternator.
How about the other serp belt? That drives the AC compressor.
