  • About 13 wolves from the Eight Mile Pack in Yellowstone NP made a trek across Lamar Valley, right at tree line, through deep snow. The wolves were alternating between traveling and playing. In this short clip, the wolves emerge from a tall tree and make their way in a line, down an open, snow-covered hill, towards the Lamar River. The videographer has been watching wolves for ten years, while living right outside the gate of the park, and was exclaiming in delight, as if she had never seen them before. In ten years, I had never seen the 8 Mile wolves in Lamar Valley.

It's so beautiful to see them. It's interesting, the one who looked all black stayed kind of at the top of the hill or Trail. You seem to have great luck in knowing where they are. I'm coming to Yellowstone with my camera to hang out with you! 😀
