I’ve used odicoat for years and even put it on a finished round quilted train case I made and let it dry naturally. I put very 2 thin layers on with a credit card. Turned out great!

Catching the replay, thank you! Would you recommend using the Odicoat on the fabric with the interfacing fused on it first? I want to make a flat crossbody sling bag for an avid hiker & this would be great to make it water resistant.

I would put it in on the fabric by itself first then fuse to the interfacing. Just put parchment on top of the OdiCoat side if you fuse from that side.

Nope. I would use food grade beeswax for projects that will be near food.

I'm covering my end table with cotton fabric. Because it's an end table where water glasses, etc, will be placed, would you suggest more than one application of Odicoat? Did you use one coat or two? (you will have oil dripping on yours, after all). Thank you!

I did just one coat and it's fine so far. I may do another and see how I like that glossier look. OdiCoat says the more coats you use the glossier the finish.
