In most of your points, you basically said “what you said about ____ is completely true…but I don’t care”. To answer your question, yes I know Hasbro and their SS line very well. I own virtually every single Studio Series figure, and I’ve collected transformers for 16 years. I generally love Hasbro and what they make, but this figure failed to uphold their typical standards in design and QC. I have very realistic expectations for Hasbro, but I feel that people like you will let anything pass because your expectations are so low. And even if you think the SS line is hit or miss, that doesn’t suddenly justify them producing bad quality now. @@papermelon wow that's really cool! Another avid transformers fan is really cool. I have seen the movie but it think the most they could do would be to bulk out the wheels. Idk. I agree QC is a horrible thing now that's gotten way out of hand. Reading your message really makes me realize how normalized it is now and that shouldn't be the case. For a multimillion dollar company this shouldn't be a widespread issue. But allas here we are. We are still buying the product and Hasbro won't do anything about it. Btw idk if you know this but Hasbro has GREAT customer service. If you email them your issues with pictures they will send you a replacement. If they dont have it in stock they will send you something that's the same price that they do have
I liked him at first, enough to give him a custom paint job but after the movie he’s just inaccurate and I wish they just did better with him, on this toy specifically breakages are way too common, mine broke and I’ve heard of a lot of other breakages, idk what we would do to get an accurate scourge now, the yolopark looks great but it doesn’t transform
Scourge looked amazing in the movie but the only thing I don’t like about his figure is that his neck is way to big and doesn’t really look like how it does in the movie. Anyways it’s a pretty good figure.
I agree 100%. As a stop motion animator here on youtube I must say this is probably the worst figure I've tried to animate. He falls every time, articulation is not the best and he does not resemble the character in the movie
This guy is $50. You can pay $50 for 2 deluxes, especially with the buzz worthy bumblebee ironhide and prowl 2 pack, or you can pay $50 for 5 core classes.
I mean, I liked the figure, and after putting LEDs in the chest and head (I use a wireless LED stand) it's way cooler, BUT I would like for them to redo this figure
As much as I love this figure, a portion of the grill snapped as soon as I Transformed it for the first time. As for the design being based on Concept Art, Scourge was never *That* thin, even in concept art. Still though, definitely a fun figure for me overall, can't wait for the upgrade kit.
this is one of the reasons I don't buy TF movie figures. They have a tendency of just being poorly designed and rushed out so the quality goes down the tubes compared to other lines. I remember when the 07 movie came out, all the toys were very off the mark and many were based on concept designs versus the actual movie so they didn't even look close to the characters on screen. But ya know what? You also sure got a lot more toy for your money back then too....really don't like the direction they've been going, smaller figures, more money.
Yeah not really worth it honestly. It was 75$ at my Target in Atlanta….. and there’s no shoulders with faction symbols. 😑 So needless to say I didn’t get it.
Hasbro jumped the gun with designing the toys That particular figure came out when the first ever trailer for Rotb came out Which was PROTOTYPE FOOTAGE!!
There’s an upgrade kit floating around that gives him a movie accurate head, fills out the gaps, and makes him look a lot beefier than he does stock, and you can still transform him with everything on, that’s the only way I would ever buy this figure, if you want a leader, get primal
Also, the light piping. There's a lot of it, but it doesn't connect in a way that lets a lot of light through. It feels like this figure must have been based on some earlier draft of his character design because the proportions just don't match what's on screen. Especially with that giraffe neck and tiny head. I still don't regret getting him because it will probably be a decade or more before we get a better mainline version, but I just wish he was better.
New movie leader class figure was a quick cash grab? You don't say... Tho yeah, that's not supposed to happen with Studio Series, but b/c of how the movie lines are merged into that line now, shelf space during movie years isn't like it was. TBH, it was kind of bare minimum for this movie in general.
I have this same problem with my studio series Dark of The Moon Megatron. The back half where the water tank/oil tank is I cannot transform all the way due to the hand being pre-bent hands/fingers and overall It looks garbage when transformed because of it. I don’t know man, my 07 megatron has the same problem except it transforms perfectly unlike my DoTM megatron. I call B.S.
This is really such a damn shame. Scourge is undoubtedly the coolest villain we've seen in the movieverse so far, so to have this cryptid baring his title? Bit insulting to be frank. And by God. That leg transformation. I thought I'd seen them give up with truck beds on Optimus Prime figures, but this is just a whole new level of not giving a damn.
My scourge that I payed a lot like almost $60 it already has stress marks from the clear plastic on the back 😭 I stopped transforming him more since then
Ima still buy this, and… Primal Prime Battle trap Nightbird Bee This ain’t stopping me from unloading my entire wallet for a nice looking shelf display
Also knock a point off for the only way you can get him at retail is if somebody with target reor whatever returns him, he ends up on the shelf, and you scan another leader with him
All I can say is that it's true, but I'd also say the delay really messed the production up allot. All I do know that there's going to be a Yolopark figure that'll be more accurate to the model, and be around 30 dollars. Sure it may not transform... but Scourge barely even transform much. Either way, do respect your statement and opinion
I'm just sitting back and waiting for those third-party companies to engineer their own masterpiece-grade versions of the RotB cast, and do a much better job than Hasbro is willing to do.
Scourge is the second SS figure I’ve purchased where I’ve had to purchase a second copy to keep in truck mode exclusively as that clear plastic, despite being thick, did crack quite a bit on my first copy that I’ve transformed twice. Nothing’s snapped off yet but it will happen I’m sure since clear plastic will clear plastic and all that. Only other one is SS49, or technically that as it was from the 15th anniversary autobot 5-pack with the chad head and I purchased the DotM bee to replace it as the tooling was a lot better compared to the previous ones.
The clear plastic on mine cracked too. I sanded the hexagonal edges on the hinge and it moves fine now. I think the issue is just too sharp of corners to move along.
I agree with u about this figure except I don’t find him too hollow, but I get where ur getting at, he’s actually one of my only transformers within the past few years to have some weight, I got grimlock ss 07 and Grindor but Grindor has less weight than both of the other two somehow and he becomes this gigantic helicopter toy
I have the figure and i have 2 complaints 1: he is skinny 2: in robot mode the smokestacks are very loose that might just be my copy But i still like the figure and the head easily popping off is accurate
I believe the name is yolocraft, but they sell a scourge figure that looks so much better. Only gripes is he’s a little too metallic and can’t transform but I like him
I wrote this guy off because I didn't like the initial images. I caved in right before watching the movie. He's a really fun figure, but I agree, he is not deserving of the leader price point.
The fact that hasbro has made Optimus prime figures that at least has good leg transformations bothers me because Scrouge just has almost the same transformation- dang that was long sorry-
I have the mini scourge licensed by hasbro the one you build IDK WHY BUT HE IS MEWING😂 and he is rlly good he only cost 10 dollars if we are going from American money to Indonesian money he doesn't transform sadly😢 but I don't know why he even had a truck mode he used his robot mode for like 90% of the movie
I don’t know if you’ll read this comment but Baiwei just released their KO SS Scourge and from what I’ve seen, they basically fix everything wrong with the figure. They used screws for the smokestacks, thiccened the thighs, gave him movie accurate feet (with die cast foot bridge strut things), a much better head sculpt, and an articulated claw, among other things. All that for around 25 bucks on show z. I got him coming on the way with both DNA Design 46 and 49 upgrade kits. 49 basically completely changes his shoulder transformation to give him movie accurate shoulders btw. (And I’m aware that not everything on 46 is going to fit on this KO since it was intended for the original figure)
I feel your pain but if I want to make the purchase u can buy a upgrade kit to fix at least most of the issues but the loose and broken will not be issued in the upgrade kit
This to me is Hasbro Transformers at the absolute worst. Allergic to hard articulation? Check. Bad head movement? Check. Overpriced size when it's really a voyager? Check. Bad alt mode? Check. Cheap hollow feeling and poorly connected hinges? Check. Bad plastic? Check. It's a contender for one of, if not worst of the year behind SS WFC Barricade
Gotta love it when companies start skimping on quality whilst simultaneously jacking up the price. (QC budget) + (materials and engineering budget) + (extra money being charged per figure) = Executive pockets.
I always think this design should've been Lockdown while the Lockdown from AoE should've been Oilmaster or Doubledealer. He borrows a lot more from Animated Lockdown than he does G1 or RID Scourge.

If they dont have it in stock they will send you something that's the same price that they do have
Hope we a third party figure in scale with studio series
Well on my copy of the toy the smokestacks are fairy strong maybe too strong but not too much strong for being stuck there in one place
Thats why yolopark’s scourge is better🗿
Yeah it’s not horrible for me. he’s a fun figure but ur right that he’s overrated af.
Your copy is broke bro. Mine has good stable articulation
Yeah mine broke too. but for some reason nobody else besides this video has talked about it. Glad you said something too. he’s so expensive
SCOURGE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SS FIGURES
Scourge looked amazing in the movie but the only thing I don’t like about his figure is that his neck is way to big and doesn’t really look like how it does in the movie. Anyways it’s a pretty good figure.
I agree 100%. As a stop motion animator here on youtube I must say this is probably the worst figure I've tried to animate. He falls every time, articulation is not the best and he does not resemble the character in the movie
It is just your copy it is loose
This guy is $50. You can pay $50 for 2 deluxes, especially with the buzz worthy bumblebee ironhide and prowl 2 pack, or you can pay $50 for 5 core classes.
I mean, I liked the figure, and after putting LEDs in the chest and head (I use a wireless LED stand) it's way cooler, BUT I would like for them to redo this figure
The head popping off is movie accurate
I'm sorry bro but screw you I loved it!
Yeah not really worth it honestly. It was 75$ at my Target in Atlanta….. and there’s no shoulders with faction symbols. 😑 So needless to say I didn’t get it.
Hasbro jumped the gun with designing the toys
That particular figure came out when the first ever trailer for Rotb came out
Which was PROTOTYPE FOOTAGE!!
I call B.S.
Finally.. A honest reviewer..
My scourge that I payed a lot like almost $60 it already has stress marks from the clear plastic on the back 😭 I stopped transforming him more since then
I am sill fixing it
Ima still buy this, and…
Primal
Prime
Battle trap
Nightbird
Bee
This ain’t stopping me from unloading my entire wallet for a nice looking shelf display
I’m pumped for Yolopark’s version
Let’s just wait for kos companies to do a better job like they always did
I mean…they’re just gonna make this thing bigger with slightly better paint, not really gonna fix any of the issues I mentioned about the look of it 😂
The clear plastic on mine cracked too. I sanded the hexagonal edges on the hinge and it moves fine now. I think the issue is just too sharp of corners to move along.
To expensive to be this janky
I agree with u about this figure except I don’t find him too hollow, but I get where ur getting at, he’s actually one of my only transformers within the past few years to have some weight, I got grimlock ss 07 and Grindor but Grindor has less weight than both of the other two somehow and he becomes this gigantic helicopter toy
As someone who is very sensitive about their figures breaking, this just hurts to watch. Both a TF and Bayformers fan :/
I have the figure and i have 2 complaints
1: he is skinny
2: in robot mode the smokestacks are very loose that might just be my copy
But i still like the figure and the head easily popping off is accurate
I went to buy him at target this summer, it would ring up, come to find out they have recalled him and target couldn't sell it to me
How did we devolve from ROTF leader Prime, which really set the standard for movie figures, to this? It feels so cheap
He's a bay style transformer figure that's why he also sucks in the other sections besides looks! 😂
This is a leader class???? Back in my day, leader class was half my height and was like 60% metal joints, what the funk happened man
I believe the name is yolocraft, but they sell a scourge figure that looks so much better. Only gripes is he’s a little too metallic and can’t transform but I like him
Man am I glad I couldn't find him when I went in italy.
But i did find a kingdom rattrap.
He is pretty cool for a such a small guy.
I wrote this guy off because I didn't like the initial images. I caved in right before watching the movie. He's a really fun figure, but I agree, he is not deserving of the leader price point.
Glad you enjoy it! Nothing wrong with that 👍
Just wait til Wei Jiang makes an KO version.
BMB already had production samples for KO SS 102 and I think they gonna do the same for Scourge anytime soon
It's so good that I changed my mind about buying it
Honestly 6.5 is still to high of a rating for something like that I would have given it a 2.5 and that’s being generous
The fact that hasbro has made Optimus prime figures that at least has good leg transformations bothers me because Scrouge just has almost the same transformation-
dang that was long sorry-
*sigh* transformers toys now just aren’t as good as what they used to be (late 2000s-early 2010s)
They should have just waited for the first trailer to start designing toys for rotb
3 of these complaints are just a “my coby” issue, not a wide range issue with all copies of the figure
U got a sub from me bc yes
Do u have megatron?
I have no idea who's in charge of making these studio series toys, but they're not doing a great job with these figures.
Oh my gosh I thought this was about the actual character not a figure, I got so scared 💀
Finally someone I agree with
One thing I wish they'd done was given an alternate hand for the left arm, that big claw hand sucks
In short. This figure sucks, get the Yolopark figure. Transformation be damned, at least it LOOKS like Scourge and won't snap as easy. Cheaper, too!
Thats what happens when you use Concept Art instead of the Actual Model.
It just looks super cheap.. ill rather go with a figure thats not transformable but actually looks good. Recommend yoloparks version. Bang. For. Buck.
I always think this design should've been Lockdown while the Lockdown from AoE should've been Oilmaster or Doubledealer.
He borrows a lot more from Animated Lockdown than he does G1 or RID Scourge.
No way thats a leader class. Leader class figures used to be big and have sound features and other fun things. This is a sad excuse for a leader class
