  • Hello guys.
    This time I wanted to reach the target of triple digits on 3s with my WLToys 124017 chassis.
    This is probably the best chassis I ever arranged on WLToys 124019/17 base.
    It's well planted on the ground and I did not experience any backflip since I designed the new front wing. There's a little squirm on the rear, but that is a little trickier to get totally rid off, due to the light weight of the car, and the extra power on high speeds.
    The whole setup is composed by:
    - 3D printed ground effect wide front wing, adjustable.
    - 3D printed rear wing profile, adjustable.
    - 3D printed wide straight sidebands.
    - Stiffened rear suspension with double spring.
    - High rake. (rear higher than front)
    Electronics:
    Motor: SurpassHobby Rocket V3 4.5t 7700kv, sensored
    ESC: Castle mamba X, 2-6s with datalogging
    Transmitter: Noble Flysky NB4
    Receiver: FRG4S
    Gearing:
    Stock 44t plastic spur gear.
    Stock 27t metal pinion gear.
    Lipo Battery:
    Alienmodel 3 cells, 11.1V 2200ma 120C
    Tires:
    Matrix foam tires 65mm diam.

      Now I'm looking into that throttle delay that I don't use on my transmitter (radiolink) Thanks for the info

      @ViCatRC  2 года назад +1

      @@RCSpeedster100 finally someone who watches the videos till the end. Well, you are right there's the delay even on radiolink. Maybe I am wrong but if I remember good, it is limited to just 2 secs. On the noble you can set it however you need. And if you watch the datalog throttle is perfectly linear.

    Well done. Do you have any videos on what metal parts are best to upgrade i heard the kit doesn’t fit to good so only few things should be upgraded to metal. How far does that remote go and a link for it please. Aswell as your suspension height i see in description u put its higher in back. Im going now threw your videos to see if u have anything the i fo there in case. Awesome job tho. Do u plan on selling some 3d pieces? I would love something

      Thanks mate. I am not so keen about metal parts. If you want to go for it it's just for a cosmetic matter, cause in speed runs the lighter you are the better it is. Besides plastic absorbes much better shocks. About The FlySky NB4, it's a great radio, I think one of the most complete and functional radios and it's not even expensive considering all the cool features it embeds. Unfortunately I bought it some time ago in a shop and I don't have links, but you can find everywhere online. Talking about the suspensions, what i did is to double the stock springs on the rear to make the shocks rigid and avoiding squats. In speed runs it's pretty important the car does not squat too much otherwise it could flip in the air on high speed. For what concerns the 3d printed kit I designed you can find at this link :
      cults3d.com/en/design-collections/ViCatRC/wltoys-124017-124019-144010
      It includes front and rear adjustable wings and the protective sidebands.
      Consider that I don't sell the finite printed plastic item cause it would cost pretty much. Instead you can download the stl file and print it by yourself or give the files to a friend to print it for you in a cheap way. Best regards.

      @@ViCatRC double dwn ? Like tighten it twice the amount on rear?

    • @ViCatRC
      @ViCatRC  Год назад

      Yes, it's necessary to stiffen the rear that is pretty sloppy and lower the front to give a rake effect so the rear is higher than the front.
