A great family tour. The sights and sounds are always being updated. Got a little chuckle out of you recommending people "come down "to visit NYC. Truly a Canadian perspective 😃. Glad you had a fun time.
Loving the tour! Wow, Abigail is incredibly beautiful, so much like her mom, and she has no idea, does she? She's so camera shy! Wonderful family memories!
Most young women Abby's age don't like being photograph or videoed by others including their parents. It's different when they or their friends are doing it. I feel for her constantly trying to avoid the camera
@@Dregg13 Some of us are/were also that way with our friends, and never outgrow it. I just hope she sees some of the comments about how beautiful she really is.
That was so great "the longest sitting President" when you were observing Lincoln! I literally laughed out loud! Queen Elizabeth looked so lifelike. Some of the others didn't look quite as well done as her likeness. Thanks for the tour!
Marie Tussaud came so close to being guillotined in the French Revolution that her head had already been shaved. But an upper-level revolutionary (who executed many people of Lyon) got her spared because of her artistic talent, and she was put to work making death masks and full-body casts of the famous executed people. Later, she toured her collection for 33 years in Britain before opening a permanent location on Baker Street in London. Some of her own creations still exist! Thanks for the museum tour - so interesting! Stan Lee really looks real!
Wow new York has changed so mutch since my last visit app20yrs ago sadly heath conditions no longer allow travel. I was 45 yrs old on last visit. Been in care home 9yrs. l got the tiny brown bear in the Steif display (13:06) tho w/o what looked like an elephant in his arms in the 60s at Fao Shwartz along with a metal cast honda car out of a display case that wasnt cheap but at one point my mom got rid of everything in my closet because of her OCD and minimalism obsession. Sadly l see things all the time from my childhood years in the 60s on your show like the red-line hot wheels and track sets which l had all of them in the round cases full. Motorola batt. op car tracks w/ cars, original GI Joes w/ plastic hair b4 the fuzz and all the jeeps, train sets, major matt mason complete lunar sets w/ the all the extras etc. l came home one day around the 4th or 5th grade and she had donated everything and said something like ''its time to concentrate on school''. l remember my dad was furious. Love your channel and that may be why.
In reading this I was thinking your mother got rid of your things after you grew up but was floored when you said it was when you were in fourth or fifth grade. That is so sad and I’m sure was very traumatic at the time. I’m sorry to say but that move was showing some mental health issues.
Nice tour. I have been to Madame Tussaud's in Niagara Falls and I see there is one in London England as well. Maybe you need to try doing a wax museum tour. There is a Ripley's as well in Niagara Falls
We used to have a Madam T. Museum in Lake George,NY in 70s and they would rent a few celebrities for awhile and then switch them out. The park associated with it got sold to six flags and it’s gone. We had Elvis for awhile, that was cool
Went to the Madame Tusaud's Wax Museum in Las Vegas years ago. It was pretty cool. Put on a wedding dress and got hitched to George Clooney, then was serenaded by Elvis 😂 We still have payphones at Ford plant, but the receivers are a bit more modern.
Alex,Melissa,Steven,Jason, and Abbeygale tourist. Looks like great fun. So much to do and see. All kinds of foods. Stores galore. For me now, too many people, too loud, and too much traffic. Great for visitors and tourists. Well until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🥤🥤🥤🇺🇸🌈😇🕊❤️🙏🌞🌹👍
I went to Madam Tussauds in London years ago, and they had a garden party setting that made you feel like you were part of that party. The one person that looked so real was Liza Minnelli, as she was sitting at the edge of a water feature, looking up at you, as if engaged in conversation. At the end of the tour there was Charlie Chaplin, but he was real! The man portraying Mr. Chaplin, tipped his hat up, using the wall behind him….totally made me jump! Probably the best wax museum I’ve ever been to!
I didn't know Ripley's Museum was gone. I went there when I was a teenager, those statues were scary, they looked so real. You felt like the eyes were following you. I like Ripley's better.
That was very interesting, but a lit know creepy. Some of those I thought were real and when the cups on the table started chicken that got me. I enjoy your gentle.😊❤❤
2:37 As an animation history buff, I can point out that between the two Mickeys is Oswald the Lucky Rabbit who preceded Mickey Mouse as Walt Disney's first major character, but Walt made the mistake of not having Oswald copyrighted and then a shady businessman/producer with whom he was working by the name of Charles Mintz stole Oswald and most of Walt's animators and really pulled the rug out from under him. Luckily, Walt Disney and his friend and early business partner, Ub Iwerks, created Mickey Mouse, launched a new studio, and the rest is history. As an aside, Ub Iwerks was key in the development of the multi-plane camera which placed backgrounds and animation cels on different vertical panes of glass to create a more realistic three-dimensional effect for certain scenes or establishing shots and it was used in 'The Old Mill' (1937) animated short and then more prominently in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' (1937) and in 'Pinocchio' (1940). :)
Is there somewhere I can find you picking like you used to? Going through houses or preparing sales for auction, etc? I think you said you were doing some of that on another account or something?
Hey Alex, check out Louis Tussauds, Great Yarmouth UK, voted worst waxworks in the world, some of the 'Likenesses' are hilarious 😂. Sadly closed in the noughties but can see pictures online 👍

RUclips Premium is well worth the price. The creators of the videos that you watch deserve to get paid. That's what the ads are for...and a portion of the RUclips Premium payment is used for that, as well. The ads follow YOUR interests, of course, but an alternate plan to make the ads go away is to move to a country where advertisers have no interest in advertising. Haiti may be such a place.
Well that was Awesome and Spooky ... !!!
Thanks for watching!
The President Lincoln jokes were pretty good! 😊

Thank you for the tour, Alex and fam 😊

if you ever go back, the newer Museum of Broadway is also really great- they have lots of the real costumes & props on display from shows new and old.
I haven't been in a wax museum since I was about 11 in California amazing how real looking they look
I’m glad you guys had so much fun in New York. I’m enjoying see the places you visited on your trip. ✌🏻🤍🤞
