Brother Tyler, compliments on how you have come into your own since we first met you through the BGM channel and onto your own channel. I hate to use the term 'mature' with a grown man but pretty much everything about your work, your delivery and the care you obviously apply to your projects has become that of a focused, trustworthy craftsman who knows his stuff but is also willing to share it with others. You were good when we first met you but you have really taken your skills to another level or two.
hes growing his customer base. It takes alot to get to his dads level of skill. But the younger generation can do it better if they have the knowledge. Like gentry and sons trucking page.. he's teaching his son ..
Your definition of room to work is vastly different than mine. What you call roomy is what I would fear is not accessible. How you guys can contort into small places and still get wrenches on is impressive to a layman.
I really can't understand the converter people who hide/bury/delete the access hatches to the power train assembly. Are they just dump or something worse?
Atleast the conversion here had seats and panels to access the covers. I know some conversion that have water tanks and such over them making them completely inaccessible
NowTyler-Don't take this wrong, but--If you had it disconnected, wouldn't it have been nice to pull it all the way out, run it outside and steam the crap out of it and the put new injectors set tolerances and gaskets as you'd have lots of room?? You guys really could use a fork lift to move crap. All terrain from the auction barn? Zip Zip Zip. I know - you had to get it out of the bay. Good job on wiggling things back in place.
I don't know why the did that, with a new end and proper adjustment I the linkage I got proper free play without it. But we as a similar issues on that eagle we helped on the side of the interstate. Can't figure out proper adjustment, just cut and weld and make it worse.
A quick question - The belt of death.... Has anyone come up with an alternative drive for the cooling fans instead of that big long flappy belt that goes up through the access area to the engine?
Hey Tyler. Great video. I was wondering after the winter storm passed through can you get any vehicles up or down Bus Grease Mountain? I live in Cherr'ville, NC and we got about 6 inches of snow on top of ice. I am NOT going outside till the white stuff is gone. My 1990 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 163,000 miles on it does not do well on ice.
I actually haven't tried. I don't drive my 04 in bad weather (I hate rust so if there's salt down it's parked) and the flatbed lost oil pressure friday. And dad took my dually out of town this weekend so I've just been staying in lol.
Great job, would love to have a look at clutch assembly and pressure plate ...
