Maybe this is outtime but, there is a 24 minutes version of this song, they cut it so it can fix. After this part he song kind of a "popurri" of songs from other artist. You need to watch it. And by the way, you are great, I've be watching your reactions of mexican music and love how genuily you love it, thanks man.
You are absolutely correct. He wrote all this music. He knew it intimately. He played with many of the same musicians over and over they knew his performance style. He was a consummate band leader. This was one of the most highly improvised performances. It is a masterpiece of performance art.
Juan Gabriel also directed singers and orchestras to the T. there's a video of him rehersing with the orchestra and the band and he stops them and tells them they have to follow him, not the other way around. He was quite strict in his ways.
He did this concert in the Opera House in México City, which was very controversial at the time. It was the first time a non clasic musician did that. Very much critized by the local clasic music crowd, but he filled the opera house every time, and people loved him. Juan Gabriel put his soul in every son. His concerts lasted 2 hours plus, he was unique. He wrote for many musicians. He wrote a lovely song for Isabel Pantoja, and invited her to sing it in one of his shows. I cried when i heard her, singing to him. "Isabel Pantoja.. Así fue.. México 2014
He is a legend. All that at the end of the song was on the spot adlib! He was always very dramatic and flamboyant! The crowd loved him. He was a true live performer! Great reaction!
Yes. Juan Gabriel is loved by many generations. My grandma loved him, my mom loves him and I'm not that old 😂 and even I love him. His music unites many generations.
Juan Gabriel is one of the best artis Mexico has ever had and I have a great respect for you, because you not knowing the language, you describes best the fellings and sense of the song, only a person with a big music soul, can catch the emotion of a song even with out understanding a word, you are a real artist too.
Without fear of being wrong, I think you are the first person who from the beginning realizes that he is the one who directs where the music is going. And of course, it's a sad song, but HE makes it festive. that's how genius he was
I saw him in California where I’m from. My six sisters and I took my dad to see him because he loved Juan Gabriel and we all were so amazed, excited and never sat down watching him. He was so loved by the Mexican people. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My grandfather was a Mariachi violinist in Mexico back in the 60s and 70s and listening to the violin 🎻 gives me so many goosebumps! He plays the violin 🎻 in heaven now! 🕊️🇲🇽
I was fortunate enough to see him in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay right before he passed…let me say, they don’t call him EL DIVO for nothing! There is NO ONE like him! He was a true Artist and phenomenal showman! Full Mariachi, Backup dancers, backup Singers, full orchestra, The works! That is why he is a international Superstar! Rip Juanga, Besos al cielo 🕊️
He improvised in his concerts,he didn’t follow the rules so the musicians had to go accordingly to his singing mode, sometimes repeating or extending some of the song’s phrases, I was lucky to go to 4 of his concerts and all of them were a blast, one of Mexico’s best songwriters and singers, he’s really missed by all his fans, when he died, Mexico paralyzed, the whole country, all workers had their day off, and all the country mourned his death.
In a World full of auto-tune, AI and Vocaloids...it just hits different when someone sings soul to soul. Juan Gabriel was amazing. No one like him. His concerts were the best. His songs amazing. He left us with some of the best music ever.
I love your reaction! The song starts with his telling about how he grew up not knowing pain or suffering because that is what his mother taught him. The second part tells about how it all changed when he met HER; she hurt him but it was too late because he already loved her. And the third part tells about how he tells her to leave; he wants nothing to do with her…he’s over it!
And that's why when the song started it's so heartbreaking and then it keeps evolving until it finishes as a party because he realizes it and he's moved on🎉.😁 " Vete no te quiero ver jamás" ( Go, cause I don't want to see you ever again)"
He is one the Most espectacular performers in the world, he known worldwide, and wonderful Human being, so talented, Thank You for Your kind words, he was one of a kind, he is very missed in Mexico, and a lot of parts of the world that were Lucky enough to know him and his Music!
Juan Gabriel is one of the best singers from Mexico…I would see him in concerts every year he came to Chicago,..all the people would be crying because all his songs have so much meaning and had the best Mariachi band hired!!!! RIP🙏🏼
If you want to see the crowd dancing and the musicians watch "Debo Hacerlo" from the same concert, he had a powerful crowd control. Is also one of the best from that concert. 👍
🥹😢🥲🙏👍🇵🇷Rest in peace, Amén 🙏
It’s so beautiful, so moving to see how Juanga’s power is to make of every single person in the world, a very sassy, satisfied señora who cries while singing. His legacy is making every heart goes to Noa-Noa.
You are sooo right! Juan Gabriel his a wonderful singer from City of Juarez Mexico. Rest in peace 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️His concert were Beautiful in 70 80 90 2005 when he dances his moves. And the best Mariachis .
This song hurts differently when you think of an ex 😅😅😅😅😅😅 Juan Gabriel was amazing. Sooo many years, generations and we love him still. Lo amamos. El tenia magia/magic. Your emotions are shaken. Los sentimientos son reales. This song is so sassy!
If you take a look of the lyrics you'll cry more and more... We used to call him "JuanGa" (in a very lovely way) and HE is our most beautiful treasure. 🇲🇽❤
Juan Gabriel loved to improvise and he always sorrounded himself with great musicians that may not always had studied music but learnt to follow anything by listening to it. This particular song Juan Gabriel improvised a lot and the musicians would respond to his lead.
That 🎵🎶 bit sound like daaaa, da, da,, is signature Juan Gabriel’s in almost every live performance. And yes, the musicians must fallow him. Juan Gabriel improvises a lot. I went to a lot of his concerts and he’ll change the songs completely, he’ll also change the lyrics without warning his band or The mariachi. iit was always fantastic!! ❤. I miss my dear Juan Gabriel!😢
One of the best singers of Mexico.. Juan Gabriel a mexican icon.. Viva Mexico.. as mexican I feel proud that many foreigners react to this music and songs, I wish that they know the lyrics.
Yes, the mariachi and orchestra followed his lead. I saw him perform live, and I was grateful to have had that opportunity. He was amazing! When you listen to him sing the music goes straight to your heart.
No bro Juan Gabriel is one of the most complete Singers in the world, He's very special with any single details in the shows, all that you can hear and seeing is because is part original from his performance.
He is one of the greatest singer performer ever .His lyrics were masterpiece ,his voice range unparalleled and unique. His stage presence was inspiring he was born for this .Folks dont know what your missing specifically his lyrics would be a story that reaches your soul like no other RIP a true master. He was copied his songs by all Latin singers he never made a fuss .
Yes, they are following his lead. He was the writer and composer of his songs, so he got to do whatever he wanted with them on stage. Sometimes, he even mixed songs on the spot. No song was the same in his performances. The orchestras or mariachi bands that had to play for him had to be magicians because they never knew what he was going to do next. Juan Gabriel and the musicians really worked magic on the stage.
I enjoy watching JuanGabriel reaction videos now and then and this is one of the best Ive seen. That was a powerful concert with great performances. He used to sang his songs in a lot of different ways because he always poured his soul and emotions in them, so it varied which was good and fun to watch, because you never know exactly what you were gonna get, but you could be sure it was gonna be GOOD. the Bellas artes palace ( beautiful arts palace) concert had social and historical context in México, the hall was reserved for the best performances in arts, great ballets, classical concerts, opera and so on. and usually were attended by people with higher income. this was the first time that it was open for a popular artist and he was popular in how many people liked him and in the sense that he was of the people. he was often looked down by "the higher" echelons of cultural and economic groups in our society. He had a rough childhood, abandoded by his mother at 4, he was raised in an orphanage and when he turned 18 he had to leave and decided to follow his dream, he started singing in a bar, he came from nothing. he fought for a long time to have a concert there and was repitedly denied. when his fame grew and finally he could no longer be denied and they accepted, there was an uproar by a small part of society (i`ll let you figure it out which) and they lobbyed to cancel it, they failed , it ended up being 4 concerts in consecutive nights because it kept selling out , and up to date its still considered the best concert ever played in Bellas Artes and its been 34 years. This concert was the culmination of his struggle and success and he let it all out into his preformance.
The original concert Medley It lasts almost 30 minutes, goes from Mariachi to flamenco, salsa, disco, pop and ends with the orchestra. That complete set is a delight.
Exquisite music, man and arrangements!!! I am so moved by how he is able to cut through and pierce through everyone’s heart and soul!! This man knew the secrets of love, joy and entertainment like no one could. I’m happy that he brought out your emotions which is a testament to how Juan Gabriel was able to emote so genuinely into peoples hearts. It warms my heart that you said he is beautiful and quality of his voice delicious without hesitation because that my dear friend, was he. Simply a beautiful and legendary man in the flesh with incredible gifts!! This song and especially this specific performance, will go down in history as one of the most iconic one. Thank you for your honest review of this MASTERPIECE!!! ❤🎶
I had the blessing having the opportunity to attend to one of his private shows in the late 90’s. Trust me: Nothing can touch this man’s spirit on the scenario. He was by far just the best showman I’ve ever seen. A memorable night…
He was a genius and a wonderful and humble human being. His songs are touching and beautiful. I was fortunate enough to attend 5 of his performances. It's beautiful to see you appreciate the magnitude of his talent. I love your channel. ❤
It was better. I grew up listening to him. My mother loves him!! I cry so much listening to him. His music is so deep and so wonderful. There's also pain of a time passed. Memories of a wonderful childhood and a sadness to see how the world is now. I can only be thankful that I was able to experience that time!!!!
That is the Mexican way trust me his band knows exactly what he is doing… The mariachi music is a very difficult to play a well accomplished mariachi musician can play 4 to 5 hours at a house party and not play the same song by request …I spoke with a violinist my sister dated at one time I asked him how many songs do you know he said probably 4 thousand songs by hart and he can play them in different ways and different keys…. Wow
@@seanfagan6727 it may seem impossible but that is the nature off mariachi music these guys play for most of their lives 40 50 years and they play with different groups all the time who ever has work so they pick up a lot of songs along the way …. You tell me what other style of Musicians can play 3 to 5 hours and not play the same song by request…..
Juan Gabriel is one of best singers from Mexico. Great performer, a legend, absolutely loved by many. I remember my mom playing his music when I was little and I grew up loving him.

I had the privilege of seeing Juan Gabriel 3 times in concert. He was alwsys the ultimate artist and performer on stage. He never disappointed! He was an amazing songwriter as well. Throughout his career he wrote songs for many artists.
Consider watching our tribute to El Divo: Juan Gabriel - The Soul of Music | AMR Retrospective EP02: ruclips.net/video/H1z-50f3xck/видео.html
There's an old Turkish song from the 70s that reminds me of this one, can't quite remember the name.
Thanks for the tribute. Cheers from México!

people will be watching him sing for decades to come
"He's not singing to your ears. He's singing to your soul." Best way to explain Juan Gabriel's voice. ❤
100%
I'll say it over and over ...Juan Gabriel was a gift from the heavens.
You are absolutely correct. He wrote all this music. He knew it intimately. He played with many of the same musicians over and over they knew his performance style. He was a consummate band leader. This was one of the most highly improvised performances. It is a masterpiece of performance art.
Let’s add he had the best and most disciplined musicians. They would almost read his mind. This was all improvised 100 percent.
Juan Gabriel also directed singers and orchestras to the T. there's a video of him rehersing with the orchestra and the band and he stops them and tells them they have to follow him, not the other way around. He was quite strict in his ways.
True ❤
He's in total control. Even the lightings. He says lower the spotlights
Really? This it's so cool to know explained. Thank you for sharing ❤

He was so incredibly entertaining. A monster of talent! No one like him 🌹

I saw him live before he passed. It was a great show. It reminds me of cleaning on Saturday morning with my mom blaring this throughout the house.

Juan Gabriel (RIP) was a legend who created a whole era. His songs helped many other performers to be launched into fame.
An icon literally merged mariachi music to more popular ballad music and an advocate to Mexican culture.
I’m so glad of having a Mexican mom who would blast this music every weekend morning while we cleaned the house when I was a kid ❤❤❤❤

The beginning of that song is about how beautiful his life was until he met him.🥲🙏
Live concert was an exceptional experience. I had the opportunity to know him, was absolutely fabulous!!!
True legend! I’ve watched this performance 100 times easy! Never gets old!!! ❤
This clip of Juan Gabriel makes my soul happy
I saw him I’m concert and it was absolutely unforgettable. His voice was so strong and would hit you right in the feels.
Wow
WOW fouuurrrr THOUSAND. mind blown
4,000 songs? Really? Does anyone on the planet really know 4,000 songs?
@@seanfagan6727 it may seem impossible but that is the nature off mariachi music these guys play for most of their lives 40 50 years and they play with different groups all the time who ever has work so they pick up a lot of songs along the way …. You tell me what other style of Musicians can play 3 to 5 hours and not play the same song by request…..
I've been listening to this song for years. Make me emotional each time I listen to it. Even more during the live version. Juanga Por Vida!!!!
I had the fortune to see him in concert and it was such an experience. He was very much for and of the people. Love.
Juan Gabriel is one of best singers from Mexico. Great performer, a legend, absolutely loved by many. I remember my mom playing his music when I was little and I grew up loving him.
The arrangement was also done by him the song is from the 80’s it’s his original no pieces taken from another song
