That's not what he meant .. What he meant was that in the album version he doesn't freestyle and improvise like in the live version ... That's why the live version is twice as long as the album version. That's what he meant.

He is singing about a lover, the one with “unconditional love” which is the name of the song. “You, the same as yesterday, the one I didn’t know how to love, I don’t know why… a pair of white roses, the one that doesn’t has expectations…”
In Latin culture, it was taboo for women to be sexually liberal, and although he has intense feelings for her, he didn’t know how to love her, likely bc she loved unconditionally and he has conflicting feelings about it but he still sees her in a good light, even compares her to white roses as a symbol of purity, but because she isn’t demanding more, he didn’t know what to give her and fell out of touch with the relationship. And he sort of has a resonating or lingering regret of having had that liaison (bc he had sex and it is taboo or negative to her) but not regret of having had the experience because it was a sweet, tender, positive experience for him and he attributes value to it. We use a word, “vivencias” sort of means “things we live/lived” and the song has a nostalgia that puts her into his best experiences but he has conflicting feelings as a man because he doesn’t think he did enough, so the way he pays tribute is by singing the romantic song. Notice he doesn’t disclose enough to give away her identity but compares her or their liaison to a pair of white roses despite exposing that there is not lasso or vows between them, essentially saying their liaison was still sacred in his collection of lived experiences.

Well... He was born in Puerto Rico. His father was a Spaniard and his mother was Italian. But he had spent most of his life in Mexico. Obviously, he has an incredible voice and musical thecnique.

Hello friend, Luis Miguel has a beautiful romantic voice, excellent performer. There's a movie of his life as a young boy, he couldn't attend school because his father demanded too much out of him an improving his voice. Miguel suffer by being overtired, he never had a normal childhood had no friends. His mother argue a lot with his father cuz it hurt her seeing her son so young and in a lot of stress. He did have a sad upbringing. Miguel was a teenager when his father killed his mother. In some of his concerts he looks sad, I'm sure his mother in on his mind. Correct, luis miguel is known for his improvising and mixing/playing around with the sound of his songs during concerts. Luis Miguel is one of those singer who sing/sound even BETTER live ! He’s a complete monster, and shockingly still sounds every-bit as good today as he did back in his prime. The best spanish speaking singer of all time and one of the BEST male singers PERIOD

This song is called "The unconditional". He is basically saying that he doesn't understand WHY he couldn't fall in love with her. She was always there for him, yet for some unexplained reason, he never fell in love with this wonderful woman. He recognizes that she is wonderful, a great friend, that loves him unconditionally- never expecting him to return this love. He ven says, "There were no promises between us". He is sad and is apologetic towards her.

He was discovered fairly young. You should watch his debut at 11 years old when he sang La Malagueña. It was in 1981, I believe. His father played the guitar, and it's an amazing performance!

Luis Miguel was not a born Mexican. He was Italian From mother and Spaniard by father. But born in Puerto Rico. Moved to Mexico as a child and he worked as a child with his father. Lost touch with his mother for years. He had a very hard childhood. He even lost hearing in one of his ears. But he is a great performer.
@estherjuarez3606 You're correct that he wasn't born in Mexico, but he spent most of his childhood there and has always said he sees himself as Mexican. His mother disappeared in 1986 and has never been found.

He born in 1970 and he started his career as singer very young his solo first album was when he was 13 years old. Amazing singer, he is call "The sun of Mexico" o "El sol de Mexico" and he really is a bright sun, giving energy, happiness, he warms up his audience... I mean... amazing. Im not Mexican, and I never been in one of his concerts, yet I love his voice and energy on stage. For sure a very talented man.

Arab Man, His dad was from Spain and his mom from Italy. He grew up singing flamenco, which he sang like a pro even at 8 or 10 years old (there are videos of it on you tube), which might explain to you the Arab vibe. Interesting that you noticed. This guy played that very concert the same, in sold concerts at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, on Dec. 6,7,8,9,10,13,14,15,16,17,19,20,22,23, in 1995. Not many singers have the instrument, nor the stamina to pull that off. If the National Auditorium has capacity for 10k, that means that about 150,000 went to see him in Mexico City alone that December, plus the rest of the Latin America tour.

Like many crooners sone of his songs are originals and some of his songs are staple boleros. I didnt even used to listen to spanish music ( cauae it wasnt "cool"... I was a teen) but I got his CD where he sang a bunch of classics. Such a beautiful voice.
