Due to the amount of support y'all gave when I show'ed off some unfinished/scrapped remixes, I decided to finish the Subterfuge remix with the help of AaronPKT (super goated VA btw)! I feel like the mixing on this could have been better imo but still cool with how it came out!

After 3 weeks, I finally get why I like this version so much.
The original was fast, intense. You know that is NOT Sonic, but he thinks he is. And he'll do anything to make sure you too believe his delusions. And he'll kill you if you don't play along.
This one, it feels slower, despite the chaos. In a way it's depressing. It tells the same story but from "sonic's" perspective.
He WANTS to believe he's sonic, he thinks he truely is the blue hero everyone loves. And he can't help but not understand why no one believes him.
He's upset, angry, and he takes it out on anyone who doesn't believe his fantasy. But that only proves them right.

This is definitely a top-tier Subterfuge cover; it felt to me like the"Make You Play" motif (IDK if there's a more commonly agreed name for that motif) was more like the Silly Billy version than the original version in Subterfuge, which definitely gives it a different feel (almost feels more like His World in tone.)
Also, I adore that you used the old version's outro; I always preferred that one over the new one (even if the new one is still good and probably makes more sense for the character of 2017x; the old one just sounded so much nicer to the point that I'd listen to that part on loop for hours.) so I'm really happy to see you use that.

Also, what's with the spike in Subterfuge content as of late? I'm not complaining since this is one of my favorite FNF songs, but I'm confused as to why it's getting such a resurgence.
I think the "Make you play" motif is just a Modified version of His World. Idk but it kinda sounded similar even in subterfuge and silly billy
@@tophatskelle3161 I agree that they sound similar, especially in the original (non-lyrical) Subterfuge. It definitely departs more in Silly Billy and Subterfuge with lyrics, but I could see a connection.
