I'm so glad you like the recipe!! more baby food will come as my little one, Alex, will be very soon 6 months and I'm ready to introduce him to the pleasure of food!! I have in my plan to prepare another 1st bday cake, a winter one, pound cake style. The fruit cake is another very good idea for a 1st bday. When your little one will celebrate it? rice cereal. yes, you can make it at home. it's sooo easy. I do not have a video ready but I can write you how to do it. ciao ciao
Thanks for the recipe for the rice cereal, seems SOOO easy! My little Nolan will only be celebrating his first birthday at the end of May (the 29th actually, same birthday as me!) He still is two months away from starting his first food but I am preparing and learning now, I'm so excited to introduce him to it all! Excited to see your pound cake style cake when you post it, no rush for us, we have time :)
Thank you for another great recipe, I love love love that you are still making baby food recipes for us :) Saw your first birthday cake recipes, wondering if you could share another one, if you have any other ideas about any?I was even thinking about making a fruit cake, the base being watermelon or something. Also do you have a rice cereal recipe on here, is it possible to make your own?
HOMEMADE RICE CEREAL Place 1/2 cup of rice in a blender for 2 minutes or until finely ground. It should look like a flour. It's done!!!! When you want to cook it: Bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil, add 2 tbsp of the ground rice Stir for 30 seconds and then occasionally for 4-5 minutes. You will obtain a thick and creamy mixture (check that there are no lumps). This is a perfect base for a baby meal. you can add vegetables, meat, cheese...pending how old is your baby. Enjoy! ciao! b

Hi, I am little confused 😐, you said sugar is not good for under 1 year, so why you use agave nectar , it's also sweet and both sugar and agave nectar come from plant source, can you clearify please, why agave , but not the sugar, thank you..
Hi Natasha! yes, I confirm. Babies under 1 year should not be given any added sugar. By "added sugar" I mean refined sugar: the refining process is done with chemicals that can be harmful to a baby. Natural sweet fruits (dates, figs, dried fruit) or natural sweeteners (honey after 1yr, pure agave, maple syrup) can be used to add more sweetness to a recipe. As always, moderation is the key. The fact that you do not use refined sugar doesn't mean that you can over use natural sweeteners or sweet fruits :-) Too much sugar in a baby/child diet has been proven causing: - caries and tooth decay - a weaker immune system - in the long term, obesity and diabetes I hope I was helpful, please let me know should you have any more questions!! Thank you for following BuonaPappa!! b
