    Good job mate. Sounds like you under quoted, bet you wont make that mistake again. I'm doing the exact same wall, but solid blocks, two tiers. My blocks weigh 32 kg. Your not wrong about abusing your back. I'm 67 by the way.

      Compacted road base footing. Compacting in layers going up

    nice job but you should consider hiring a helper . the reason for this will become apparent when you are my age (78) and have been doing heavy lifting since i was sixteen . save your body , gets some assistance .

    how accurate was your 5.5ton agg estimate? was there extra or if youre under whaddya do

      Was pretty spot on mate. Was used for core filling and backfilling none extra better to over order the aggregate a bit for more drainage anyway. Thanks for the comment

    How does those blocks stay without concrete mix in between them? those look jigsaw puzzle to me!🤷

      They have interlocking tabs, and when you have them over each other and fill them with aggregate, they are basically reinforced and cannot move. Thanks for the comment
