- On this episode, it's late winter and I'm encouraging you as angler to keep an open mind about soft plastics and high performance jig heads in the winter. They definitely have a time and place for winter trout fishing. Some days they can even outperform twitch baits surprising well.

Great video! Feels like we're right there with you fishing. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks Jeff!
Great video my friend! I fish those jig heads more than any other.
Thanks buddy
Great video Bro, some quality specks! Always enjoy the way you explain everything, I have been waiting to watch this one since you dropped the video while I was in Myrtle Beach. You should definitely have more subscribers!
Thanks buddy
Atta boy halty!!! Love the little stealth jon. That gamagatsu belly weight hook paired with a zoom super fluke in chartreuse or white is probably the most versatile combo in existence; from rock to specs and river bass it will catch them all. I don't like it with swimbaits tho, the whole magic of that hook/fluke combo is the wiggle as it sinks slacklined.
Thanks for sharing that! Good to hear from you
Me & Sutton are going to have you come down my way this spring. Get ready!!!
Road trip! Can't wait
One of the best fishing channels on RUclips. Hope you keep it up.
That's pretty kind. Thank you! No plans to quit
We appreciate the kind words about our favorite product: The Texas Eye jig. Glad its working for you.
It is for sure! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.

haha, thanks buddy!🤙
That was great!! Thanks for the tips…gonna have to try this down in TX
Thanks buddy, show those boys down there a new "old" trick! Tight lines!
It’s been too long since the last video, glad to see you still catching em. With the warmer weather I hope it’s better fishing and more videos.
Thanks
Really nice man! Killer content. Looking forward to figuring this stuff out in the coming years. LOL
Good fishing right there. Swimbaits are always my go to in deep winter I just use halo shads instead of the zman.
I know you do buddy. I could watch you troll those things all day!
Nice. Appreciate the effort. I understand your worry about snagging. It probably is shallow running compared to the swimbait. In the cold it helps me to put the bait where its easier for the fish to chase it. Meaning where they are. Usually Deeper. But its almost March. Things are about to change. Looking forward to it!
Yeah I'm ready to go chase some reds!
Just starting to view your channel in last couple of weeks and enjoying it. I live on the coast in Beaufort, SC and struggle finding trout in really cold water. I would appreciate it if you would mention the water temps you’re fishing in. I did just hear you mention depth and that is appreciated. Very high quality productions, look forward to many more!
Just heard you mention outside air 32, water temp 50. Thank you, please would appreciate that in all along with any depth references if they change appreciably. Thanks again!!
You bet, it matters. Thanks
I really enjoy your videos
Appreciate it!
What size Texas eye and what weight were you using on that 5” diesel minnow
The 3/16 ounce seems to work good for the setting I was in, 3-7ft water slow retrieve. I think they only offer one hook size for that set up. I've also used the 1/4 but it sinks obviously quicker and would be better in 8-12ft
