Contact doesn't matter. Negligence that causes an accident, even without contact, is still the person's fault for causing the accident to happen.
Doesn't have to touch. The car merged into the biker who is on two wheels and at risk of dying had he not moved. The car caused that crash and drove off utterly ignorant of what they had done.

If he can't navigate a simple swerve like this, then it was just a matter of time before a turtle in the road or a glare from the sun got him.
Ema ride…. When the car way way in front of you has a blinker on… it’s probably not the best idea to keep going well over the speed limit and putting yourself in danger. You’re one of the examples of people that give bikers a bad rep.
I swear to god almost 90% of the bike-on-car collisions show the biker ignoring the obvious signs of what's about to happen

It’s a GENUINE safety tip to be faster than the average car around you BECAUSE if you stick with the cars you are far more likely to get into dangerous situations from lack of situational awareness of drivers around you forgetting or missing you hovering in a blind spot going same speed.

For sure what happened, you can see the way the bike goes down and the glaringly obvious gap between the car and bike... guy grabbed a hand full of front brake most likely.

So many bikers have zero concept of blind spot. On a bike you can see 360 degrees.
Cars have a blind spot that you can hide an entire car on either side.
Blind spot on trucks and windowless vans is huge!
We can do a shoulder check to check our blind spots in a car and good drivers make a habit of it even when not changing lanes. So we can have a bit of forewarning about what might be in the process of overtaking us.
But we also have enough stuff ahead of us that needs our attention.
Bikes have the extra maneuverability that allows them to slip in where a full size auto can’t. But there’s a cost for that. You have to decide if you’re willing to pay that price.

It’s astounding the number of lame brained bikers that are totally unaware that people in cars have a huge blind spot in regards to motorcycles. How you can’t know this is mindboggling. Every one of these instances in this video was clear proof of that and the riders, normally going way to fast in the first place get bent out of shape blaming the driver of the car that did not see them. Wise up guys! The road isn’t your private play ground and must be shared. Ride responsibility with respect for others and live to see another day.
The behavior and mentality of Americans on the road is really terrible. This includes complying with traffic rules. Now I understand why there are five times more accidents there than in Europe. The number of road deaths there is also four times higher than here. It seems as if no one uses their brain cells while driving, everyone just does something.

Dunlop Tires did extensive research on what causes a speed wobble with motorcycles and how to get out of them.
1. If you're in a speed wobble, hunker down. Speeding up or slowing down doesn't work very well; however, speeding up does make the speed wobble continuously worse.
2. A flattened and worn rear tire causes speed wobbles above a certain speed.
Get off the gas.
DON'T BRAKE (no front, no rear).
Do not try to stop the bars.
Use SOFT hands to dull the bars.
I had a Suzuki TL1000R (Suzuki V-twin sport bike) and they were known as widow makers because of their head shake. (Speed wobble). First few times you go home to change your shorts. After it happens a few times, you kinda get used to it. When forcefully trying to stop the wobble, it will only get worse. Light hands or soft touch is the best way of describing how to get out of that quicker. I'll have to check out that Dunlop study. Good deal.
@@j.thomas7128 I mean, none of that stuff you described was as immediately effective as simply tucking in (and even this video shows that). And even Dunlop admits they didn't understand why tucking in was so effective.
Tucking in should be your first response, but making sure you don't have a rear tire with a worn center is your first defense.

@@j.thomas7128 So the problem with motorcycle riders is that they don't experience speed wobbles very often and thus don't have the muscle memory to appropriately deal with it. And it doesn't help that modern motorcycles rarely experience wobbles unless it's at very high speed. Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of motorized vehicle that speed wobbles every time you ride? That you can safely experience speed wobbles at safe crash speeds but is still motorized? And is cheaper if you crash it, because it's designed to be crashed often and hard?
Only 2 types of riders. The ones that have been down and the ones that are going down. Had a GSXR for 6 years. Crashed 9 times and only once was my fault.

im usually on the side of the rider but damn that guy was an idiot, who tries to cut in front of 2 lanes of traffic when they dont have the right of way or even bother to stop and look if its clear. Why would a car expect that a motorcyle would suddenly cut Infront of them out of nowhere when traffic is moving and the guy clearly had no time to get across. If any action you take requires another person to slam on their breaks to not hit you then you need to re evaluate how you drive. If that rider continues to ride like a moron then he will earn a darwin award before long.
