    I have a lock that the batteries are not dead, the lock info shows the correct apartment, I updated the time and date information, and no keys will open it including a master key or emergency key. I programmed a diagnostic key and the error code is #5 saying Invalid distribution or customer code. We're locked out of the unit and would hate to drill this lock if we can get it fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You fail to mention what if the clock is out of sync and the battery is too low to sync the clock. Newly programmed keys will not open doors that have any clock errors.
    Edit: to update the clock you must change the battery, to open the door to change the battery you must sync the clock. I see a lot of people destroying their hotel locks to correct the issue, will this be updated?
