    Very helpful! One thing you might add : polish out the insides of your pliers. Any nicks in the pliers will transfer to your piece. All your tips are great! Thank you!

    Hi...thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience....will this polishing work wit h the tarnish resistance craft wire ..I'm thinking it will take off the finish but thought I would ask anyway....thank you 🙂🌷

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  2 года назад +1

      Yes. Coated wire can’t be buffed. Only bare wire!

    Thanks for the tips and especially which attachments you use. There are so many available! But I use the ones you demonstrated so that makes me feel good. Also, I have a foredoom too. I have to say your control is better than mine. I have trouble keeping a steady speed. Sometimes it sounds like I’m driving a race car 😁 Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. I love your jewelry pieces and like to see what works for you.

    This is great! I only have the 3M fan like but I guess I am missing some buffing wheels. The rock tumbler is from the 80’s when I was a kid. It’s cheap and loud but did the job. So why not?

    Thanks for sharing your process!
    I've been looking at that same flex shaft, but I read that it's important for certain processes to have reverse, which I don't think that model has. Do you find that you miss not having reverse sometimes, or not really?

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  11 месяцев назад

      I haven’t had the pleasure of working with anything that has a reverse actually 🤔
      That sounds kinda fun!
      I’ve upgraded to the flex shaft from a cordless dremel which was awesome in itself! 💜

    Fantastic video! Thanks for posting this. It really isn’t much out there about the right way to polish wire work so I put this on my favorites list. I have one question that perhaps you can help me with, what is the minimum hardness of a stone that you can put in the Tumbler? I haven’t been able to find that information online. I know you’re not supposed to do with porous stones but just having a basic hardness guide would be great if you can help with that. I love your channel!

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  2 года назад

      Thanks!
      That’s a good question. I think it’s a judgment call. If you think it would be too soft and fragile than it’s not worth it. I think I stick with hardness between 6-8 but still, if you’re having doubts, don’t do it! I don’t tumble my jewelry pieces for very long either I don’t think. Hope that helps 😬

      I have a friend who does a lot more tumbler polishing than I do. Her advice to me was to only put 6 or above on the MOH scale in her tumbler. Hope that’s helpful. 🌺

    Thanks for showing us your technique... One question: What kind of tumbling media did you use in your tumbler? Did I hear "steel shot" correctly? What is that? Size? Weight?

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  2 года назад

      You did. Steel shot.
      Stainless Steel Shot- amzn.to/

      I don’t use much since my tumbler is small.
