Hi Sam, we have had our Trophy for three weeks, having come from a Saab 2011 93 Griffin. the car is brilliant, has great performance, and more standard equipment than most at twice the price, Well done MG
Hi Jeremy thanks for sharing! I’m sure it wasn’t easy to let go of the Saab, but the MG sure will be more of a blast to drive, cheaper to fuel and easier to park. 😄
Brilliant review Sam👏 I came accroas your channel when I watched your review of the car at the Geneva car show. It inspired me to look into the car and was one of the first to place an order, based on your review without a test drive and I'd never driven an MG. I've been looking forward to this full review. I've had mine nearly 2 months now. I've got the Metalic Black Trophy Model. Just short of 1k mileage now and I have no complaints at all. You've been spot on, not critical and pointing out things people may not like. Keep up your reviews. This is an honest one. 🎉
Your review has detailed info with unbiased opinions. MG has been drawing a lot of heat from competition. A balanced review is just what we need. Thanks.
Well done Sam - quality work as always 😊 (even the wasp wanted to be associated with your good work 😂). Wonder if it’s the same wasp from your last MG review that’s been waiting for you to come back 🤣😁 It’s a heck of a lot of Car for the money - I can see MG doing well with these. The lack of a split folding rear seat is a bizarre omission, like you it wouldn’t hugely bother me, but I can see it being missed by some buyers. That being said it’s performance, warranty and price more than make up for any odd shortcomings here and there 🙂
Cheers Richard! Yes I forgot about that, the wasp loves an MG 😅 It sure is good value for money in this day in age, I agree it’s an odd corner to cut not having split folding rear seats, but again wouldn’t bother me majorly.
I agree, it’s very good value against today’s market! MG have come a long way in recent years do hopefully it should prove reliable. Thanks for watching 😄
Great review. I had a test drive of one these last month and thought it was very impressive. Don't know why everyone is obsessed with the lack of split rear seat. Ive been driving 31 years and never needed to fold half the seat down. Oh and dont be fooled by the 7 year warranty as hardly anything is covered after 3.
Thank you! I think for families and tip runs etc, the split seats are useful and some manufacturers take it a step further like Honda with their ‘Magic Seats’, so it’s just a step behind, but like you mentioned it’s really not a dealbreaker for the majority of people! Yes the MG warranty isn’t comprehensive for 7 years.
Hi Sam, Great review! I’ve ordered mine went for SE spec as suited me more really. Having currently been driving a Hyundai Bayon 23 plate going to be a bit of a change just hope this car proves to be reliable 😊
@@Carcode Hey Sam, I went for the white one I really agree with you on your review the white actually looks striking 😎 yes very true when I test drove it you could tell the instant power mine should be here in the next few days 🤞
Not really a hybrid.... just how far does it go on a full charge.... it would be a great car with a battery thats capable of 30-40 miles and a 1 litre engine instead of the 1.5
I think you are thinking of a plug in hybrid, self charging hybrids like this don’t have a stated electric range as such, the system just all blends together to give you great MPG, the battery charges and discharges frequently as you drive along.
Thanks Steve, are you saying I’m not funny 🤣 just joking! Yes I suppose it saved a few £, but it doesn’t make sense to me either! Hopefully they’ll resolve it and bring in a split rear seat.

Thank you! That’s great to hear, I’m also glad you are enjoying your MG3. More reviews on the way 😄

That’s exactly what I aim to deliver, so I’m glad that’s coming across! Thank you 😊
So happy to find someone my age and size do a review
The best review I've seen on this car so far. Well done Sam.
Great to hear! Thank you 😊

Great review, very informative
Thank you, I’m glad it was helpful!
Good review, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing what you're getting for the money, it'll interesting to see what the long term reliability will be like.

7 year garanty says enough

Are you sure about the warranty coverage??
Here in Greece the warranty is 7years/150.000km and is bumper to bumper, ie everything is covered

Thanks Scott! I’m sure you will love it, it certainly has more go than the Bayon. What colour did you go for?

Great review. Thanks for not being a comedian. Lack of no rear split seat is a dealbreaker for me.Can't imagine what MG were thinking

I went through all of the specifications of the vehicle, this is a UK review so the facts and pricing differ to AUS models.
