I just love to watch all your tutorials. You have such a pleasant voice and are great with your instructions. Always look forward to what's next on your channel.
6/8/24: Hi Marie. I've been decorating mini composition notebooks with paper for quite some time now, but I've never attempted to do them with fabric. To be frank, I never thought of it. I am SO happy I came across your channel and learned how to do it 'cause I've got tons of various fabrics that I'd love to use for this project, and I just ordered a box of 30 mini composition notebooks, so I'm a prepared girl scout...LOL! Your instructions were pinpoint perfect, they look easy to make, and I cannot wait to try it. I'm newly subscribed and cannot wait to check out the larger composition notebook you've done, along with any other projects you've made. Thank you SO much for taking the time to make and share it. Yours are beautiful. ❤
I just love reading comments and yours made me smile! First, thank you for subscribing to my channel! I’m so happy that you liked this tutorial and I must admit that these little covers are almost addictive! So fun and they’re a great use of scraps! The possibilities are endless and with a background in paper, I’m sure your use of fabric is adding to your enjoyment of the project, too. Thanks for the heads-up on buying the mini composition books in bulk. I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought of that before, lol!
These little books would be great in a purse. I’m forever needing to jot a note when I’m out and about and what would be more fun than making one of these cute books? I think it would be a fun idea to make one of these to match the larger composition notebooks as a gift set or even to match a tote bag .
I have made about 28 of these, will be giving one to each child in son's class at the end of school (+ a few extra to give as gifts). I enjoyed make them, they were so fun to make. Thank you for teaching us such a cute and useful project. Thank you for all your videos- I love making small projects.
I swear you are psychic, Marie!!!! I was just thinking the other day, knowing I had a bunch of mini composition books, I hope I can find a video to make covers for these, and TA-DA! Here's Marie!!! Thank you I can't wait to make these!!.🥰🥰🥰
Love this tutorial Marie ❤ will have to check what size notebooks we have here in Oz to make one. Great job ... really love the first one with the beach theme. So many scraps - so many ideas!!!
@@MariesScrappyCreationsI ordered two packs of 3 from Amazon but they look much smaller than yours. Can you share the dimensions and where you purchased them? Thanks
I will make many of these. There awesome and your tutorial was perfect. I am in need of a steno notebook covers. They open vertically. And my sewing club members have them and use them every week. Would you design and make a tutorial for steno notebook and side elastic pen holder. Please
I'm so glad that you liked this video. I apologize that I am very late in replying to yours (and many other) comments. I've been a bit under the weather. At this point, I have done the regular size composition notebook covers tutorial and the mini sized one. I do plan on making other tutorials on notebook sizes and I'd love to try a Steno cover! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment and ask about a tutorial.
Adorable! Do you have any video explaining how to install a magnetic clasp on a tote bag? I feel like you do but I can’t remember for sure. Thanks! Xoxo
Hello Diane! Yes, I actually do have a tutorial that during which, I show how I install a magnetic clasp on a tote bag. It is in one of the tutorials in the 5-part Freestyle Scrappy Tote Bag series. When I have some time, I will take a look and find out which one it is and I will definitely let you know. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment and ask.
Hi Jamie! Yes, actually my husband and I made it together. We took the top part of a wooden TV tray and he cut it into the size square I wanted. Then, I took many layers of 100% cotton batting and laid it over the top. When I had that placed how I wanted it, I took a piece of heavy weight cotton fabric (I call it home decor fabric, but it’s like you would make curtains with) and we stapled it on one side first, and then my husband pulled the fabric as tightly as possible to the opposite side and used his staple gun to secure it and then we went all around tightening the fabric. Perfect little ironing board! I think there are tutorials on RUclips, although they may make them differently than what we did, I’m not sure. Thank you for your question!
Hi! Supplies and sizes are listed in the description box below the video, as well as in the pinned comment, which should be right at the top under the video. But, they measure 3.25" x 4.50" 🥰😊 😊
Where are you located I Maine? I just moved here from Chicago area. I’m 82?and looking for a quilt guild. I’ve been to Mardins, it reminds me of a store in Ca I went to when I was there for Road To California quilt show. I’m living in Aetna near Bangor / Brewer area. Please help me ?
Hi! I'm up in Aroostook county. I can look it up, but I am well over two hours north of where you are and there is nothing like that up around me or at least none that I know of. I just found this website, which lists a lot of them, by area. Hope this helps! mainequilts.org/about-us/ptqg-chapters/
@dianneeparish3989 I have a Marden's right here in Presque Isle. Actually, when I look out my sewing room window, I can see the roof of my local Marden's. Lol!
Hello to another Mainer. I am going to make these but I am going to find an easier way to make the snap piece. I don't think I would have the patience for trying to turn that. 😂 Lovely otherwise.
Hi Cindy 👋 I got it and I will probably have time for replying to emails this afternoon. I usually try to do it 2 afternoons a week . Thanks so much! 🥰
