In this one, Tori and I load uk the kids and trailer out motorboat into a local lake. I drive a ways and decide we should get up a rapid in the boat to access a good fishing spot and beautiful canyon I wanted to show Tori. Tori wasn’t feeling it at first but I managed to haul the boat up by hand and before long we caught some smallmouth bass and northern pike. We then went back to the campsite where we stayed in episode 3 of our National Geographic TV and Disney Plus show Home in the Wild. Tori and I clean up some fish here and go for a swim with Wesley. We then fish more and see a deer before we get caught in a rain storm on our way home.
Before the fishing trip, Tori did a lot of planting and prep around our house And you can see a lot of this in the video too!

Oh my favourite part is always the kids they are adorable! Hudson is growing up so fast and couldn’t help but notice how well Wesley looks physically. He sure has progressed in his core strength, great work family ❤️

Tori as a mother is naturally more cautious and less willing to take an unnecessary risk.😘
For sure, she also didn’t grow up doing the same kinds of things like this regarding boats that I did all the time.
As a mom, I would have been so mad when you decided to drag the boat up the rapids especially if I gouged a hunk out of my toe while doing it. Tori is just a special woman!

Bass fishing, the kids loving the fishing, Tori working efficiently and tirelessly, North knowing how to relax while Tori works, how you manage adventures without irritating Tori too much, Huddy digging his fish in the sauce and stuffing it in his mouth, Wesley, handsome and enjoying every minute of the outdoors...I love it all, Jim. Thank you.
Jim so reminds me of my dad. Back in the 60's we would spend summers camping in Scotland and dad, who was ex military, would drive the family car down tracks that even 4x4 types would think twice about. We would get down to totally deserted beaches and have the place to ourselves because no one else was crazy enough to drive down there.

Hudson reminded me of my late wife, she loved fish and fishing, once she jumped up and yelled at a guy when he released a salmon, we were visiting Gold River BC ( Van. Island) at the time....I laughed then too.
The boys sure are growing. I love seeing how relaxed the kids are in the boat , sleeping soundly . A great video ❤

Great video guys You are so busy but still have so much fun ! A tip to do the cuts on potatoes a day or so ahead and let the cut part dry out a bit It helps keep the potatoes from rotting in the ground

I’m glad you enjoyed this one particularly! I wish we’d filmed the part where we had to haul up the rapids better but will all going on I’m glad we just got what we did.

I liked the part where Tori mulched AROUND the raised beds. Gee whiz. That should save a lot of work and now I have to do that. It looks so nice too. Half the time I have to chop down weeds before I can even look at my raised beds. What a precious family you have. We sure appreciate your videos.

Sucks Tori cut her foot. Not that she isn’t tuff & can’t handle it. This just one of those annoying injuries you feel every time you walk. Then having the hits & all the stuff. I’m sure she was more kissed off something so simple could have been avoided by wearing a pair of shoes. But we’ve all been there. Jim at least aTori said why does it always have to be an adventure with you. Not a shit show or cluster duck. Which means she may not have wanted quite so much physical requirements with the entire family. But she’s an amazing lady who fits you perfect. I admire you all but especially Tori. I would have. L❤VED to have a Mom so active & adventurous. Life is Al one big adventure. Some are every day life & other are planned trips like this. The memories the boys already share at such a young age. Will do and thanks a lot. We just filmed this with a GoPro and a video camera but with NatGeo there was a film crew and we didn’t need to shoot anything.

Hello Jim & Tory I hope I didn't offend you with my "life is an adventure" . It's just amazing all the places you and your family go on adventures. Wesley and Hudson are delightful kids. Im as always looking forward to more breath taking adventure's oh and Tory your knife skills on that bass outstanding like a surgeon. I haven't been able to get outdoors these days.My mom is close to 100 and I've been taking care of her for 2 yrs. now. I watch every video you post, Jim. The very best adventure is any of the family ones with kids. It is uncharacteristic to include the less pleasant moments but I think it makes the honesty of your lives a feature. Tori is a stunning woman and a beauty. Huddy - hugable and growing well. Wesley is a pain you have to love and I pray for him and your effort. More family adventures and more Huddy/Wesley/Tori facetime. You are a good Dad.

Always an adventure with you guys!! I would have also been cautious like Tori going through those rapids for the first time and have said the same thing to my husband, does everything always have to be an adventure with you?? lol I am so happy you kept those pike. For years I didn't bother keeping pike for no real good reason but these past few years I always keep them as they are just a good as walleye for sure!! I also do the same 5 fillet method which is great for boneless fish.

It truly is a pleasure watching your videos with your family. Tory you asked Jim why does everything have to be an adventure? Life is an adventure! Kinda like Forest Gump's box of chocolate. You never know what your gonna get. Jim&Tory your doing a fantastic job as parents and Wesley is expressing himself much better as is Huddy. I'd like to make a suggestion on your raised beds. Put down rotting as a base followed by dryer branches then your compost.The rotten wood will keep compost damp requiring less watering.
