Thank you Jared. My last mountain bike was a Trek carbon (6000 I think) I bought new over 30 years ago. Now I'm 61 and looking to get a bike for my local trails. I have been more of a dirt bike guy the last 25 years or so. This bike you have looks to be the answer in beefy and capable. Very nice upgrades you did. I liked and subscribed to your channel.
I have the Slash 8.8 XT. I picked up a WTB Volt saddle. It has better padding than the Bontrager saddle. I also swapped out the tires for front and rear Maxxis Minion tires with cushcore in the rear. I added the front fender and Odi grips. I just picked up the Bontrager BITs stem tool. I would like to add the bike skin as well. I just ceramic coated the frame. I would also like to change the handle bar to a Renthal carbon one.
Heck yeah 👍 sounds like you got an amazing ride. I have a discount code for Trail One carbon bars and Stem below. I’ve used rental in the past and felt they were a little too stiff. Trail One Components trailone.bike/?ref=yHQiW-iMc3Gyfr 15% Discount Code - SupportTheTrails-Hoff
Happy to found your Channel. One reason I ve ordered the slash 9.7 in Blue as a company leasing bike 🤓🤙 I own 2 eMTB, one from 2020 and last year I got my Rotwild RE 750 - great german cycling device and the Company is located just 12km away from my Home. I am really looking forward for the slash that should be delivered late october. Yes, Long Time - trek germany seems kinda slow. I came back for this Video to have a look at your upgrades. Am I right that booth Maxxis are 29x2.4, since the front assegai was 29x2.5? I m somehow not happy with the bontrager team issue even if I did not ride it a single inch.
Thank you for coming back and supporting the channel. I’m loving the Trek Slash, but don’t like the bontrager tires. I’m currently running Maxxis 2.6” width front and rear. But I usually run 2.5 front and 2.4 rear.
@@ivanrybkin9384 Maybe I should. When I first got these, I did a bunch of research on them and the skinny tube was something they say you could use but I agree that it would probably be ridiculous mess with these inserts trail side.
are those the gloss finish wrap? I mistakenly ordered matte....my trek shop did an amazing job on it. It totally killed the paint gloss. Still looks good tho.
Hi, Just noticed in your other video (Drain tube)that your bike has the MRP bash guard? Didnt see the chain guide? That was an upgrade right? My bike didnt come with it. Do you recommend getting it installed?
I didn't know about the frame wrap-good stuff! Thanks also for the info on pedals, as I think that might be a change I make to my old Raleigh.
Glad to have helped 👍

You will love the Trek Slash. It climbs good for an enduro bike too
the way you say Toobe cracks me up , that odd American language lol.
😂 it’s always funny hearing English in different accents. Where are you from?

@@MrSupermugen I’ve always wanted to go there. We have an awesome trail builder here in Oregon (Dirt Mechanics) he’s from New Zealand 🇳🇿.

how on earth are you planning to install a tube in the cushcore wheel on the trail with these 2 flimsy tire levers????
😂 Well luckily I haven’t had a flat yet!
So ditch the spare tube then 😆

Yes, I got the gloss and you can’t even tell it’s on there unless you look really hard.
Hello Jared, in this video you already have the one up 210 seat post mounted??
No, unfortunately not. I haven’t had money to buy that yet. But definitely want to 👍🏻
@@JaredHoff ohhh thanks
Jarred what size is?? L?
Yes, size L

I recommend the bash guard. I installed that myself. Didn’t see any reason for a chain guide. I’ve never dropped a chain
