Recon at its finest. *Should note this was played on 300 ping. A lot of the times I had direct hits, but they never counted as a result of the ping.
A hidden gem in the gaming world. Heroes & Generals brought so much joy to many of us who appreciate the WWII action type of game. Similar to the classic Counter Strike CS1.6. This game provides so much without the need for heavy output. It will be dearly missed, unlike the enemies I have faced hahaha.

It doesn't feel right the game is gone. I had only been playing since late 2017 but still had a lot grinded on every faction. My final months were spent solo tank hunting in puma, and anti-air with the recoiless. RIP HnG. The sound of the whistling team-members on a charge or successful capture will live on in my heart.

i played it since 2014 as it realeased. its really bad... the game wasnt perfect, but uniqe.

я играл с 2015 еще с браузерки на xeon 5450 radeon 4890-1gb: дослужился до половины генерала. В любое свободное время подключался и вступал в бой. Жаль что игру закрыли. Столько было знакомых из разных стран не только из РФ, но и из Китая и Испании... )) Иногда разочаровывал пинг в 110 мс когда все правительства попересорились, канал урезали в Европу с 15 мс до 80, а при смене провайдера получилось 110 ((( но все равно тащили и побеждали.

I love this game because it has helped me through college. After a whole day of classes and studying, it felt so good to come home and relax for a bit whilst playing Heroes and Generals. The maps had a very nostalgic feeling to them.
It was really fun while it lasted., but I guess only the memories remain now.
Totally understand you my friend. It was such a great game and it was a terrible way for them to end it. They should have just kept it runnig. It would still draw players. Not bad, especially since it looks like you were lagging slightly by the movement of the infantry. I was the type of sniper that would sacrifice a few kills to move into less forward positions (to try to get those 0-2 death games). But that was just my style. Can't find a shooter game I like to replace H&G still.

I always seemed to have a bad ping and that can certainly affect the gameplay which can be seen in this case. Despite the lag I always enjoyed it was and it will remainmy favourite recon/sniper game ever. I haven't found anything that can match the old H&G.
The closest thing currently that I am playing is Enlisted (I know its not as fun or enjoyable as H&G) but currently I dont know anything better. Enlisted is still a free to play game and can be played by a lot of lower end PCs such as mine.
As for the future there is the Hellborne game currently being developed and making good progress. (For more info. please check out my Community Tab)

Servers are so shit and with the new Sprint animation they broke every thing. But somehow i miss this game, i had over 15.000 Hours in it....... I just hope there will be a game like this but better lets hope Hellborne will be good.
Thank you for watching and your comment, comrade. I miss the game too, I recently started playing Enlisted.... for some reason, it does not even come close to Heroes & Generals. I miss H&G. Despite all its negatives, I feel especially now, it was such a gem. I don't like any of the new/newer games, they only have good graphics, but lack the charm, uniqueness and gameplay of H&G. Looks like no hope for H&G2, there is literally little to no chance of happening. The fact that we haven't heard anything from TLM or Devs, its done. Yes, I have heard so much about Hellborne, I hope it can pick up where H&G left off. Hellborne looks really good so far and the plans sound good too. Unfortunatelly, its still a long wait to play it. Thank you sir. With bad ping its difficult and challening. It takes more effort and better timing to get the hits. You can see how bad ping affects performance, when on a number of occasions I had direct hits that never counted. I still managed a decent result. Thank you once again.
