Leddy was a tire fire in Detroit. Love the Walman deal and Sunny was great.
AND the Red Wings got a 4th round pick for Sundqvist from Minnesota. That pick factors in as well, they used it on defenseman Larry Keenan.
Steve Yzerman has made no secret of the fact that he had been monitoring Walman for some time. That makes this trade an even more outrageous win for Yzerman and if he continues like he has been, he'll be a very valuable trade chip , especially with that contract.
Even if they decide not to trade him he could play up and down the defense as guys come in
I would've like the behemoth Sundqvist, Soderblom, Rasmussen line to still be a thing but considering our prospects pool can make up the same production I feel it was alright letting him go. If Walman can keep his production and stick around in Detroit, he might make a good mentor for ASP in the future. How competitive and how well the players produce this season will be a huge deciding factor for how well the rebuild comes to fruition in the next 2/3 seasons. I have faith in Lalonde and Yzerman. LGRW.
Chiarot was an anchor for Seider. SY getting Walman was a steal.
I wish O.S was still a wing! Good player
Everyone likes Sunny. If the 4th rounder amounts to nothing and this ends up being just Leddy for Walman as a Wings fan I'm good with that.
It’s fs giving Wally Credit that Seider deserves
Miss him in stl
This JFresh guy must have slept through Seider's rookie season. Walman is a great player, but the idea that he's lifting Seider up is lame. This is a perfect example of how stats can lie.
I agree that it looks like Detroit Won the trade.
Walman is one of my favorite wings i hope he sticks around
Well he signed a 3 year extension
Giroux danced him and tkachuk flexed on him 😂
They straight bullied him that night. But imagine being a proud sens fan. Cupless franchise. 😂
Ur panties are all bunched up. Hahaha
@@nickstalker3254imagine losing two straight in bad fashion to the senators and then thinking you can talk trash.
Don’t embarrass us wing fan guy
Sens fans grasping at anything since they have nothing else to talk about since their franchise is trash
Detroit didn't get Nick Leddy for free. They paid a 2nd round pick for him that turned into Aatu Räty. If you want to analyse the Leddy deal you have to include what he cost to acquire too.
Detroit essentially traded Aatu Räty, Nick Leddy, and Luke Witkowski for Jake Walman, Larry Keenan, and Andrew Gibson. It may still be a win for Detroit but it's not as obvious anymore, is it?
Ur a legend. Miss u from winging it in motown! Hope ur doing well, bro
Wings gave up a second that they got back. Even if there were no other parts to it, they still got Leddy for 55 games and lost nothing for it.
First like ❤️
