Wonderful commentary and take on Oil Creek SP. I live down the road and the area's history is dark and interesting. Thanks for tour and your take.

I go past there ever since I was a kid because my camp is on the edge of Titusville. I just came home from camp today and I always see the sign. I figured I'd RUclips it to see what is like and you did great showing me this. Thank you sir and I'm gonna have to make plans in the near future to go there. I'll probably bring a bike cause I'm not a hiker lol.

I have a video coming out tomorrow on Oil Creek State Park and I gave you a shout out and linked this video because I did not get to Petroleum Centre because that bridge you walked across was closed by PennDot so there was n way to get to this from the visitor center. I'm definitely going to go back and explore more of this area.

Oh wow that’s awesome and I really appreciate it man! I’m actually headed back there next month to do the 36 mile backpacking trip there, it’s an awesome little park that’s for sure! Thanks again my friend!

They have a diesel engine from like the 1950's that pulls several vintage cars from Titusville to Petroleum and back. They will take bikes and kayaks. They closed that bridge a few years back due to issues. They may replace it in 2026. The machinery you were looking at is from the 1900's to 1920's. Not as old as you thought, but old nevertheless.

There is a ton more to see. The valley from Petroleum Center to Drakes Well in Titusville was deforested for the oil industry and there are small towns/outposts throughout the park. It is probably the densest collection of history you are going to find.
The orange and black tubes are orphaned wells

Which trails did you hike in this video? About how long was it? Any difficult spots? I'm thinking of bringing my dad here for a trip.
