Sylvia how are you feeling now ? Thank you so much 🦉🦉 I did enjoy stitching and relaxing. Do hope you are settling in well. Flo sends her love to Blue moon and Autumn 🧚🏼🧚🏼🌊
Fairy bread made me smile. When I was a little girl our fairy bread was made with violets or roses put in my gran's dehydrator and then pulverized into powder and mixed with sugar then put into tea tins to be sprinkled on the buttered bread. When the bread was warm it was so wonderful. Your dear creatures are precious. Your darlings are a living fairy story. Thank you dear dear artistic Bohemian soul.
Oh Kelli how amazing was that what a Gran and memory. My Dad had a rose bed and I used to gather the petals and mix them with water to make rose perfume, It kept me amused for hours.
We made rose water and sugared rose petals. I was raised by my grandparents and lived with them in our vineyard/farm. I don't know if you're old enough but do you remember rummaging through the rag bag for scraps to sew and embroider? My gran embroidered beautifully but did not knit or crochet or quilt but all her friends did and I eagerly learned at their knee. I didn't learn to use a sewing machine until I was twenty! You are truly a joy in my life ^•,•^
What a lovely memory owl 🦉 Sew special 💜 Oh yummy fairy bread. I would sometimes put this in our daughters lunch boxes on a Friday & we’d call it fairy bread Friday 🧚♀️
She's beautiful. 😮I couldn't believe that I forgot to comment. I helped Lillian bring Buttons to life while watching you. Huge HUGS! Namaste from the Pineapple County Gang! 🐞🧚🐞🐾🐞
Hello, Janet. Your little owls are precious and inspiring. I think one is in my near. future. (In California we call those little candies, sprinkles. I believe on the east coast, they say, Mickies. Happy stitching. 😊😊😊

Judie I do hope you are continuing to recover. Isn’t it exciting a little fairy is flying 🧚🏼 all the way over from London to New Mexico. These little owls are so relaxing to make, could be fully slow stitched too 🦉🧚🏼 go gently.
The owl is very cute. I am trying to do some self care today and your video was perfect. While you were making the owl I relaxed and worked on a new old lace stash. Harvesting what is useful. Peace, love and joy to you today.

hi Janet good evening, I just love the owls. but when you showed the work you made as a child it brought back memories for me of school and we made a needle case. Also my husbands mum before she was married would sit on the tram in Sydney and she embroidered tea towels and dollies to have in her glory box, there was a tea towel for everyday of the week, each one had and embroidered .image for example When we moved here into her house after she went into care it was my husbands childhood home and as I sorted through the linen cupboard. Ithank you
Linda thank you so much, lovely to see you. Sometimes foods or images just take us back don’t they ? I haven’t heard that phrase or absolutely years my Granny said ‘ glory box ‘ or was it ‘ hope chest ‘ ? It’s lovely that in our own way we can carry these stitching tradition’s forward. Do hope you have a relaxing day 🩵
