🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Grounded is a survival game that can be played either in first-person or a third-person. In the game, the protagonist is shrunk to the size of an ant and must strive to survive in a backyard. In the game, the player character (Max, Willow, Pete or Hoops) needs to consume an adequate amount of food and water, or they will lose health due to starvation or dehydration respectively. The backyard is filled with various bugs and insects, such as spiders, bees, dust mites, and ladybugs. Different insects serve different purposes in the game. For instance, spiders are one of the game's apex predators that will hunt down the players, ladybugs can lead players to food sources, and aphids can be cooked and consumed for food. Players can also cut down grass to collect dewdrops. The game has an accessibility option for players who have arachnophobia, which allows players to decide how scary spiders are going to be in the game.
In 1990, Pete, Max, Willow, and Hoops are the latest four teenagers in a string of disappearances. The teens wake up to find themselves shrunken down to the size of a small insect and trapped in a backyard, but have no memory of how they were shrunk or how they ended up in the yard.
As the teens explore the yard, they come across recordings left behind by a scientist named Dr. Wendell Tully, who invented the SPAC.R, which can shrink objects and people. The teens discover that they are in fact in Dr. Tully's backyard and find the SPAC.R. However, the device malfunctions and causes an explosion in a nearby oak tree. The teens head over to investigate to the explosion and find an entire miniature lab built inside of the tree. Inside, they find Dr. Tully's robotic assistant, BURG.L. Unfortunately, the explosion damaged BURG.L's memory, so it cannot help them repair the SPAC.R until the teams recover its memory backup chips stored in Dr. Tully's labs scattered across his backyard. Despite its memory loss, BURG.L assists the teens by providing them blueprints and knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness and defend themselves from hostile insects.
GROUNDED Ending + All Dreams 4K UHD includes the full story, ending and final boss of the game. The game was played, recorded and edited by Gamer’s Little Playground team. We recorded the game in 4K 60FPS on Xbox PC app. In short, the video includes the full game, ending and all story related scenes. This game is one of those games where once you see the ending, it completely changed what you think about it.

The cutscenes make you realise how dark of a premise it is.
I don't know what is more impressive, they adding more lore to the game or the fact they named one of the antagonists "Director Schmector"

This game went from a video game version of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids to being a video game version of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids with a corrupt company
Well... technically that eventually becomes one of the movies, but it has a giant baby instead.
Really would have been better if you could interact with giant humans.

I love games that when you beat it you just sit back and reflect all that you went through, and even think about the future of the characters you play as even though they are fictional. Grounded definitely hits that way for me.
The one thing I’ve hated about moving back to PlayStation is leaving this game behind, I was always intrigued with the Story of this game and now I can find out the full story, just not play it :(

I was hoping to find the ending music that if played long enough has some great guitar solos. Unfortunately everybody was robbed because this music barely plays through
What a great game I loved completing the second to last wave defense mission. For me it was really easy. I just built three layers of mushroom walls and it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to break through.

It appears Dr. Wendell Tully has learned his lesson well.
One of his records he yelled at kids for playing in the garden and he banned them. It was horrible, because they just want to play and he punished them for nothing. I know the experiments was important to him, but most precious thing is family. I'm glad he understand that.

Huh. Never noticed until you mentioned it. It's definitely a trend in sci-fi. To be fair though, the plot point is kinda weak when the scientist in question is deranged enough to do stuff like experiment on kidnapped kids in the first place.
iirc Empires of the undergrowth had the same trend, a psychotic sadistic male scientist and a kind-hearted female scientist
