Not really, just like the 2016 movie but for different reasons the trailer is enough to tell me I would most likely regret wasting money and time if i was to try watching it.

Fun FACT abt Ghost busters 2. The scene where Echo 1 pulls up and back fires loudly...... Was not sound effects or tricks.... The cars engine was actually on its last legs and ran like crap. It ended stalling out on the bridge and blocking traffic causing a jam which resulted in producers getting tickets by NYPD for obstructing traffic.
This is going to be a great movie to see I say, and I can not wate to see this movie, and it is going to be very cool if they make a ps4 game of ghost busters after life 😀
Aykroyd is a madman for the better and for the worst. I'm not too excited about what he does, but if he's working on some sort of prequel, then I'm very much looking forward to it. I gotta disagree with their logic in seemingly "replacing" Slimer with Muncher. I'd like to think that it's possible for a character like Slimer to evolve over time and actually become the "dalmation" of the Ghostbusters' firehouse, as I think Reitman said. Heck, in the animated series Slimer was not only a part of the team, but Egon also used him in experiments on ghosts, IIRC. All this being said, I'm still excited about this iteration of the Ghostbusters, especially considering it makes the previous movies into account for canon purposes. I wonder if the events of the PS3 and PS4 Ghostbusters video games will be considered canon as well. Dan Aykroyd has been quoted in the past as saying that Ghostbusters The Video game was essentially Ghostbusters 3.

I got to see a special screening of this movie along with eternals and I can say without a doubt Ghostbusters was the better movie and actually feels like a part 3 to the original eternals is all over the place and I can see it being the worst rated Marvel movie even worse than Thor the dark world
I did not like the reboot. This had nothing to do with the women aspect as much as the overall feel seemed more corny and ridiculous and downright stupid that even the actors didn't feel part of the actual feel that they were trying to portray. So has nothing to do with the women I can not see that to be the issue is the overall feel of the movie seems very out of place not even close to the original Ghostbusters because in the original Ghostbusters you didn't have all the actors being humorous and joking and then all of a sudden flip to being serious where you have one person being one type of personality and each personality was different we're in the reboot it seemed like all of them seem to have two similar of personalities Force piss did not work. I think that the idea of a new beginning of a new Direction and this particular movie Direction seems more logical in the pathways and if Done Right could be a real revitalization of a franchise from a falling system of franchise destruction. So I'm going to again just like the reboot gifted movie a chance with the possibility that it will do good but until I see it I cannot say. But seeing the reboot of the Ghostbusters I thought it was a good idea but it just didn't flush out correctly due to how basically just help one Ghostbuster because that's basically what you were dealing with. Whoever they got to narrate this needs to learn not to over-enunciate. On a separate note, Jason should never have had to “clarify” his comments or give any appreciation to that terrible 2016 movie. The only thing good about that abomination was Chris Hemsworth. And no, it’s not because it was all women. It’s because it was low-brow, the CGI sucked, it was over-acted, and gave no respect to what came before.
The 2016 movie had potential if the director and producer would've kept the overt political rhetoric out of it. Ghostbusters has had a dedicated fan base for DECADES since those now adults were children. Instead of giving your fantasy of millions the movie sequel they wanted, and begged, and pleaded for, they were given a reboot (not a sequel) 2 years after Harold Ramis died. In my opinion, THAT is why it pissed another of fans off. His bronze bust was relegated to a background prop. THEN the in your face female empowerment and the not so subtle team Hillary support the entire movie. It had nothing to do with sexism, and everything to do with personal political SJW hubris. The cast, director, and producer all thought they knew better and succeeded in pissing off SONY AND the dedicated fan base. I got the feeling that the female cast, director, and producer tried to not so subtlety delete the hard work of Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in creating the billion dollar franchise, but tried to sell us an obvious cheap chinese knockoff, and they're still pissed 5 years later that they got caught. My opinion? After they dropped the trailer, and saw ALL of the negative feedback, that should've been a HUGE red flag, and Feig SHOULD'VE listened to the fans and rewrote the script to accommodate. Movies were created to escape the real world problems people face on a day to day basis, the last thing they wanted was to pay their hard earned money to hear the same old SJW feminazi bullshit in their entertainment when they can turn on the news at home and hear it for FREE.

That's because the 2016 gender swap movie was an unmitigated disaster of a movie that bombed in the box office and this will be a true sequel to the Ghostbusters II movie that respects the original two films. The only reference to the 2016 movie will be a line in Afterlife where someone mentions that the ghost busters haven't been seen in over 30 years thus retconning the 2016 movie out of ghostbusters cannon. What is really cool about this movie is that there will be easter eggs throughout the film and I have no doubt that die hard fans will spend hours going frame by frame through the entire movie to try and spot them all. One example is that the toaster oven in the kitchen is the same exact one from the first movie. Not just the same model but the exact same prop that was in the first movie.
Every time I see the trailer for this, I get excited and goosebumps. Fan of all movies (even 2016 movie). Seriously can't wait for this new twist on the franchise. If the TV series is true they would have to Seriously get the right cast.

The reason for the storytelling tone lining up with the 80s Ghostbuster movies is that it had a certain charm and fun to its style that is undeniably great to watch (perfect formula) which was totally lacking in the 2016 version. This movie is made for everyone young and old. It will be a big hit!! Don't mess with the formula when it worked so well in the 80s.
Ryno this is a passing of the torch movie that is for once done being done right. I think you will be blown away when you finally see the movie. Also if your a fan of the original two movies then you will enjoy the hundreds of easter eggs from both GB 1 and 2 that are scattered all throughout the new movie.
The failure of 2016 had nothing to do with the cast and everything to do with the writing. It had 4 fantastic leads and they were stifled. Not sure each actor worked for their roll as it was written but killer rolls could have been written for all 4 of these ladies and the film, then, would have been a huge success...
If they removed all of the man hating, reduced the lame jokes by 50% and included cameo's from the original actors then it might have been mildly entertaining as it is I am glad that they are officially retconning the 2016 movie out of the GhostBusters cannon with Ghost Busters: Afterlife.

Additionally their message becomes the mission so to speak. They are so focused on procilatizing everyone, and spreading their ideology, that they don't actually focus on the writing or the storytelling. What makes a movie good or bad - first and foremost it is the storytelling. If the storytelling is 💩 attacking the movie (initally) on any other grounds just doesn't make sense. The 2016 Ghostbusters was not inherently bad, but it was an completely unnecessary reboot of the story. By rebooting the story rather than making a new one, the film was setting themselves up for failure as the cast was inevitably going to be compared with the acting and chemistry of the original cast which was comedy GOLD with Murray, Ackroyd, Ramis, Hudson, Weaver, Potts, and Moranis. That is a VERY high bar and one does not look good by saying you're better than the original, failing badly, and then blaming everyone who told you so.
The women ghostbusters was made for the feminists out there and it was ok but not as good as original with men in. These days women leads try to take all the male main characters like ghostbusters, the oceans movies , doctor who and maybe James Bond in the future which is terrible.
Reitman was right. The 2016 version was incredible. How often is a film released that is so poorly done on so many levels? And so unwatchable, so stunningly unfunny, so badly cast, you have to stand back in awe and go, "Truly, Ed Wood would be proud." Even Alan Smithee refused to have his name used on that disaster.
Rick retired from acting after his wife passed away. Then he was brutally assaulted in NYC not too long ago (1or2 years ago). Its pretty tragic for such a talented actor but it seems he gave up being a great actor to focus on being an irreplaceable father. As reasons go, that's a good one.

THEN the in your face female empowerment and the not so subtle team Hillary support the entire movie. It had nothing to do with sexism, and everything to do with personal political SJW hubris. The cast, director, and producer all thought they knew better and succeeded in pissing off SONY AND the dedicated fan base. I got the feeling that the female cast, director, and producer tried to not so subtlety delete the hard work of Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in creating the billion dollar franchise, but tried to sell us an obvious cheap chinese knockoff, and they're still pissed 5 years later that they got caught.
My opinion? After they dropped the trailer, and saw ALL of the negative feedback, that should've been a HUGE red flag, and Feig SHOULD'VE listened to the fans and rewrote the script to accommodate. Movies were created to escape the real world problems people face on a day to day basis, the last thing they wanted was to pay their hard earned money to hear the same old SJW feminazi bullshit in their entertainment when they can turn on the news at home and hear it for FREE.
Ghostbusters High could be good. So long as they show Ray at the unexplained, undersea mass sponge migration.

That's because the 2016 gender swap movie was an unmitigated disaster of a movie that bombed in the box office and this will be a true sequel to the Ghostbusters II movie that respects the original two films.
The only reference to the 2016 movie will be a line in Afterlife where someone mentions that the ghost busters haven't been seen in over 30 years thus retconning the 2016 movie out of ghostbusters cannon.
What is really cool about this movie is that there will be easter eggs throughout the film and I have no doubt that die hard fans will spend hours going frame by frame through the entire movie to try and spot them all.
One example is that the toaster oven in the kitchen is the same exact one from the first movie. Not just the same model but the exact same prop that was in the first movie.

The reason for the storytelling tone lining up with the 80s Ghostbuster movies is that it had a certain charm and fun to its style that is undeniably great to watch (perfect formula) which was totally lacking in the 2016 version. This movie is made for everyone young and old. It will be a big hit!! Don't mess with the formula when it worked so well in the 80s.
Ryno this is a passing of the torch movie that is for once done being done right. I think you will be blown away when you finally see the movie.
Also if your a fan of the original two movies then you will enjoy the hundreds of easter eggs from both GB 1 and 2 that are scattered all throughout the new movie.

The failure of 2016 had nothing to do with the cast and everything to do with the writing. It had 4 fantastic leads and they were stifled. Not sure each actor worked for their roll as it was written but killer rolls could have been written for all 4 of these ladies and the film, then, would have been a huge success...
If they removed all of the man hating, reduced the lame jokes by 50% and included cameo's from the original actors then it might have been mildly entertaining as it is I am glad that they are officially retconning the 2016 movie out of the GhostBusters cannon with Ghost Busters: Afterlife.
@@Josh_D78 I do not disagree that the woke leftist ideals and gender politics made the movie unbearable. This would be reason enough to dislike the movie as well - I just dont think it was the biggest flaw evan if these things rendered the film compleately unwatchable for many people.
I think the fatal flaw that destroys this movie, even before the gender politics can have their way with it, is that it is basically a terrible movie and bad storytelling. The plot, charecters, dialoge in general, and jokes are just poorly written, and poorly developed. It is full of unrealistic, unrelatable, and unlikable characters. (I do not blame the actors). (I would also understand someone attacking the acting in this movie but I suspect that actually falls on directorial vision - not actor choices - but it could be both)
I would concede that about all movies written by someone pushing woke, ultra - left ideologies is terrible. I think these things go hand in hand. To profess these beliefs a person must be disconnected from reality and looses connection to their fellow man. Additionally their message becomes the mission so to speak. They are so focused on procilatizing everyone, and spreading their ideology, that they don't actually focus on the writing or the storytelling.
What makes a movie good or bad - first and foremost it is the storytelling. If the storytelling is 💩 attacking the movie (initally) on any other grounds just doesn't make sense. Talk about the elephant in the room first.

The 2016 Ghostbusters was not inherently bad, but it was an completely unnecessary reboot of the story. By rebooting the story rather than making a new one, the film was setting themselves up for failure as the cast was inevitably going to be compared with the acting and chemistry of the original cast which was comedy GOLD with Murray, Ackroyd, Ramis, Hudson, Weaver, Potts, and Moranis. That is a VERY high bar and one does not look good by saying you're better than the original, failing badly, and then blaming everyone who told you so.
It didn't help that they made constant man hating comments and fart jokes throughout the movie.
The women ghostbusters was made for the feminists out there and it was ok but not as good as original with men in. These days women leads try to take all the male main characters like ghostbusters, the oceans movies , doctor who and maybe James Bond in the future which is terrible.

Reitman was right. The 2016 version was incredible. How often is a film released that is so poorly done on so many levels? And so unwatchable, so stunningly unfunny, so badly cast, you have to stand back in awe and go, "Truly, Ed Wood would be proud." Even Alan Smithee refused to have his name used on that disaster.

Rick retired from acting after his wife passed away. Then he was brutally assaulted in NYC not too long ago (1or2 years ago). Its pretty tragic for such a talented actor but it seems he gave up being a great actor to focus on being an irreplaceable father. As reasons go, that's a good one.
Afterlife was acceptable I really just hope they approach the next ones with the same level of caution.
