While Kafka's knowledge isn't secret it comes from over a decade of hands-on experience. Even if they have gone to specialty schools for fighting kaiju, not all of the recruits have such detailed knowledge of kaiju anatomy. It is helpful to have someone on hand who can figure out the weaknesses of the enemy.
Do they not have some kind of kaiju biology specialist as part of their force on the field, considering its value? Or even incorporate it as part of the course in their academy or whatever.
@@Banana_John I have to assume they do but it is clear from how some of the applicants behaved that they don't have the same level of knowledge Kafka does. Maybe it is only the basics.
@@Narutonarutonaruto85 True maybe they got specialists but we just haven't seen them. But I say make the trainees mess around and learn from kaiju dead bodies, similar to what the disposal people go thru. Not like they have shortage of the stuff.
Kafkas knowlegde got insane value, he did that for over a decade. You could clearly see it in the episodes before. While they are all trained, they dont have the experience and knowlegde to handle them that way. You could even say, they all tried brute force with military tactics, while he was analyzing the enemy and make use of weak points
Here's some context to the awkwardness of Kikoru's line about Mina's muscles. That part isn't in the manga at all, it's an anime-only addition. I'm not even sure why they decided to add it, other than to maybe show Kikoru's admiration for her.
All you need is kill is a full-on manga, not light novel, I read it last year and it was cool, wish the movie got a sequel. Also, Vice-Captain Hoshina steals the show so far, reminds me a lot of Doakes from Dexter somehow, he was also onto him and roasting him at the same time
Whats the point of the sequel when plot is over? All you need is kill is light novel in the first place as well. You are talking like manga is 100% superior media.
While I'm not saying there aren't any kaiju that are the result of experiments, from what I gather, kaiju have been around for centuries by this point. That said, they have gotten stronger as of late, based on what they said in this episode.
Bigs muscles aren't always the best for certains jobs or situations, Kikoru was jealous of Mina because she has the quantity necesary and a body with a sctructure sculpt.
I'm wondering if the tiger pet is special case for mina? I used to imagine that all higher ranking officers have unique pets as their battle companions or something.
I'm currently watching Fallout and it's surprisingly really good I know y'all tend to not watch many live actions, but I was curious if you will ever check it out? Especially because of the Elder Scrolls music you use. It might be my second favorite live action video game show, next to Cyberpunk. I'm only 3 episodes in though.
I just want to ask whats the point of having 31 yr old mc if his company is still teenagers with family issues. Like comeon it is just mha 2.0 here. No hating. Just have high hopes for this anime sincerely
But it's one of the big reasons why I love Kaiju No.8; Its style, its humor and its characters give me My Hero Academia vibes, only instead of just being teenagers, a large part of the cast are adults.
the series is not sublte with its inspirations. We've pointed out mha, opm, aot, parasyte, and many more. Its the farthest thing from original, but its not trying to do anything new, and its doing it well.
Small correction to your discussion, Mina is 27. It was stated in the first episode. They’re childhood friends, but Kafka is 5 years older than her.

This is why even if he is not Powerful without kaiju Power, that guy can change a fight with his knowlegde alone
THIS. This guy knows what's up.

Yea the scene didn't work out at all and just came off awkward let's hope they don't change too much from now om

I mean it’s just like how bodybuilders aren’t necessarily the strongest people, just having jacked muscles doesn’t equal being very strong
Fr. Kevin Durant looks pretty skinny but bro is heavy and strong. Some people just have the physical strength that isnt visible on the outside
@@Pochitaman30 nah cleaner anatoli is the best proof for beeing extremely strong while not looking that strong hahahaha
I like Hoshina too! In many manga, characters with squinting eyes are characters that readers need to be careful of, but he's fun too, so I like him!
Gin Ichimaru

muscular doesn't equate to buff and big. You can be lean and toned which would be better for military work.
But she is drawn in a way where she doesn't appear fit at all is the issue. She just looks skinny
would have been funny if sharktooth guy had a piece of sandpaper as his toothbruch xD

Yeah it's just her. It only got revealed in the recent chapters of the manga what l's up with the tiger.
@@NobuNobuSimp Aww that's a bit disappointing
I think this is somewhat based on Pacific Rim. If that's the case then kaiju aren't scientific experiments. But I could be wrong.
can't wait for next episode
Carson: This is Kaiju No. 9.
You're getting ahead of yourself. No. 9 doesn't even show up in this episode.
Kaiju nr 9 my favourite show
Why suddenly its full of fitness experts here
no she is 18 not applying anything just a correction, i think kiroku is younger
well by now you should throw your idea that the government would make those kaijus away since they litterly exists for thousands of years

Bros acting like people over 30 can’t have dreams 😂
because that’s how the author chose to write the story. doesn’t change anything about how good it is at all. deal with it or watch another show
