Hey guys - I was just made aware of a mistake I made in the video. Barrage amps all of your damage for every stack you have - it is not a debuff on the enemy heroes. Therefore, what matters most is you hit as many barrages as you can. You can go on any target afterwards! Sorry about that. Have fun gaming out there :)
dude how do I tell when the stacks are active? sometimes I get a countdown on the left side of screen after I use it other times i see nothing. Is it the purple haze on the gun?
I like how this is an analysis and has a lot of information it can teach you. Too often in league of legends will people post a clickbait titled GUIDE which is actually just a live recording of them hastily trying to commentate on their game while trying to play it.
been using your build for pocket. They're my new fav hero to play. I usually sell the first 3 or so items once i run out of space but that was one difficulty for me.
My Pocket playstyle: push lanes with abilities, go to teamfghts only when ult is online, use ult, Majestic Leap back to pushing lanes until ult comes back, repeat. Win a late team fight and beg your team to go mid-boss. I've found Pocket to be the best at killing any sized creep wave instantly. Barrage can also be used to injure distant waves and give your creep waves an advantage to keep the lane pushed. He also gets the free reload which means attacking towers is easy. Probably OP and will see nerfs.
Would u ever do vod reviews? This is my first moba I’ve played nd my background is mostly on fps games. Right now I’m doing placements for my first rank nd I’m playing around high archons. I’ve had good starts but I’m having trouble sustaining going forward and i don’t think I have much impact in fights. I mainly play pocket. Idk if I’m too aggro? I’m always diving but i think bursting and dipping is a good thing. Also feel like my itemization could be more efficient. Anyway I’ve watched a ton of ya vids nd the amount of valuable info I learned is crazy. Keep up the work
I wonder why not many people talk about building Pocket with Spirit. I think it's super strong not only in teamfights, but against one or few opponents Along with movement and some sustain, you weave in to enemy team from an unexpected angle, pop ult while they are busy, and flee using all extra stamina, speed and survivability built. If they all build debuff remover as a result, that's like 18k from enemy team just to counter you, which is pretty big. Even so, with spirit, the bleed does so much per second, at most they would be at low/half hp
Most people do build spirit on pocket, they just don't go all in. You honestly don't need to invest a lot into spirit to get value from your abilities. Mystic reach, improved burst, mystic vulnerability are enough - when its later in the game, Diviner's Kevlar is also insane. But yeah!
Thanks for replying, why do you say to not go all in? Wouldn’t you want to ensure maximum coverage with ult or apply to as many as possible? Brings more value to the team? And what do you mean by “value”? Can you elaborate a bit more? I thought having more spirit = bigger dmg = they die I’m not great at games, so I can’t understand your point
@@archirnobenz Diminishing returns starts to set in where you'd be better off making your gun better because your abilities are already very strong. Spending the souls to go all in on spirit might take your spirit potential from 85% to 100%, but if you invested that into your gun your gun might go from 60% to 85%. So in one case you have maxed out your spirit potential but are only using 60% of your gun potential vs 85/85. Very, very oversimplified and made up numbers but the trend is what's important. It's better to bring multiple aspects close to 100% vs going all in on one.
@@BNJ_VODS you couldn’t have explained it any better. That makes a lot of sense. I came from LoL, so I thought there would be “mage” roles where you build solely on Spirit. But I guess given how Pocket is, it’s viable to build him both.
If you are worried about guides becoming outdated, then I think your best bet is to go heavy into item explanations. While many items might be as simple as "this is overtuned right now", the fundamental reasoning between situational items will likely remain similar throughout the game (even if the items specifically are reworked, the reasoning can apply)
Good point - thank you. I am going to make guide videos as it seems to be highly requested, so I'll see how those go and I'll focus on things that I think will remain relevant. Appreciate the support
how do you make your game have different colours for the HUD and such? is this a replay-feature or can you have that in the game itself too? I have some trouble with the colours, so being able to switch everything to the blue-yellow scheme you show in this video would help me a lot. sadly I cannot seem to find a setting in the options?
16:10 I know you likely just meant that you want to get your barrage amp up first before fighting, but from my understanding doesn't the barrage amp grant the buff to pocket rather than being a resistance debuff being applied to the enemies? not taking into account spirit shredding items edit: nevermind just read the pinned LOL, great video
What ability do you empower with Superior Cooldown and Improved Reach? Would you recommend these items at all and do you tend to fill up flex slots with spirit items or weapon/vitality item with pocket?
Awesome video again :) 2 things I was wondering about. At the end u said "don't engage without barrage stacks on the enemy", if im not mistaken barrage stacks on urself right? So it wouldn't matter who u engage on as long as u have stacks. One more thing, regarding knock down how do u use it properly? If I hold it and wait till haze ults, I'm dead before I can get it off, I'm guessing I should be using it as soon as I see haze then having the entire team focus her? I'm been trying knock down but it feels kinda rough since I reactively use it against haze and I'm dead before it can make an impact Also a bit of a technical question if barrage stacks fall off when you are ticking enemies with pocket ult, does the ult do less damage? Or is the damage snapshotted to the moment u press ult? Keep up the good work :)
@@mas0ny149 For barrage, you are right, that was a mistake on my part. As far as knockdown goes, yeah it's not going to save you from her ult, it's not meant to cancel it if she's using it on other teammates. If you need an item to save yourself, metal skin is the play. The ult damage is snapshotted as far as I know
Yeah metal skin was for haze ult only. Kinetic Dash is good, if you like it buy it. Cold Front is good but slows down your power spikes - I'll sometimes buy it, but I prefer rushing the core items (warp stone / majestic leap / improved burst usually)
I like cloak early too depending on match-up. I prefer the ranged cleave on creep waves and the mobility option. If t's a Bebop or Abrams (cuz CC), lane I'm in the suitcase immediately. Barrage is my least likely first ability, maybe 2nd sometimes but it depends.
At around 2:50 you talk about enduring spirit and how you weren't sure of the buy. What would you have bought instead now? Something that ups your damage or something that would give health regen for sustain in lane?
Yep, currently working on that. As I don't play every hero I'm asking people who I know are some of the best at their heroes and making a guide with them. All the guides will start will be named like "Deathy's (character) ft. Person". For example, I just made a Vindicta guide: Deathy's Vindicta ft. z4k. Will make one for every character eventually!
I was going to watch it but its not live gameplay I would have really preferred you done a live com as Ive got no clue as to if any of this is you actually playing well and not just you finding the one game that looks good

good video. Im also curious about barrage, how do you know if you have the stacks and does hitting the creeps or npcs count too?
If you don't see it on the left then you don't have it. It's only active when you hit enemy heroes, not creeps or anything else
I LOVE how if you start reloading and then use 3 will INSTANTLY finish the reload, also first ability can be used WHILE reloading

Gameplay wise pocket feels just like puck in dota, disrupt, annoy, split push, and make plays by making ghe other team respond to you.
yep it's basically puck
Pucket

Does Knockdown item work the same way against Seven?
