I’ve been to Patong kata and Karon 6 times and every time I go tho Patong beach it’s never nice the water but I know your on Patong beach and it looks great.People used to say it depends on what time of year you go I’ve been in all season monsoon seasons I. And the suns back out love it.

Yesterday I was thinking - WOT!?! - Where dat video at - Darren did and forgot us poor folks in da west....I was checking the calendar every five minute - yep - Wednesday, loud and clear - but here we have it - our Wednesday-fix from southern Thailand....everything good now, mate...:-)
Great vlog as ALWAYS Dazza mate 👍 our first experience of Thailand was Patong Phuket and the 3 K's Kamala Kata and Karon....but our favourite is Krabi ! 👍👍
Great video Darren, me and my family are going to try the food there when Im in Patong next April. I usually stop in Surin Beach but try and get over to Patong a few times. Anyway watching your video bought me back to Thailand for 8 mins and I cant wait to go back, Im sick of this cold UK weather already.
Thanks! We stopped in at Surin for a look for the first time a few weeks ago. We will definitely be exploring it more when we have time. There was some tasty looking street food on the beach and there were a couple of local markets we spotted that looked interesting too. I hope the weather picks up for you.
NOTHING beats a well-planned beach picnic, the food somehow tastes better- even if it's just Fish and Chips which I experienced this summer here in Vancouver!!

Great video mate.I haven't tried the vendors there yet,mostly because there is a lady that does grilled chicken a little further up beach road that is to die for but I'll give them a go next time.
Nice vlog Darren. Phuket is much too touristy. Been there three times, first time one month before the tsunami. Nowadays, everything has become more and more expensive.
Phuket is a big island. Patong is the expensive tourist trap, but if you go to Phuket town things are way cheaper and the locals are so much nicer. Even just down the road in Karon things are way cheaper. At the Karon temple market you can still find some food items for ฿10.
Darren, could you do a new video of the market at Ranong road in Phuket Town? You did one long time ago I know. We are on our way, leaving Sweden next week and we are staying in Phuket Town. 👍🏻😀🇸🇪
Yes, I am planning to, but unfortunately we're now back home in Krabi and we're not going to have the opportunity to get back to Phuket in the next week or 2 (or 3). Hope you have a great holiday!

Yes, the water is much nicer, and also way safer, when it's not the monsoon season.
