This game is so good but also so short🥲I was hoping for 10 chapters at least with an epic final storm
It took a while but it just clicked. The city is very likely paying for the extreme political actions of the first captain. Without it, the city may not have survived the first storm, but if it did, the civil war would very likely not be as bad.
If you side with the Stalwarts/Faithkeepers, the Pilgrims/Evolvers radicalise and stab a Stalwart or a Faithkeeper to death in the council hall. If you side with the Pilgrims/Evolvers, the Stalwarts/Faithkeepers radicalise and stab a Pilgrim or an Evolver to death in the council hall. New London's fucked up political situation *is* solely the fault of the Captain, yeah. He created a cult of personality, and that cult will carry on some imaginary vision of his until either they can't fulfil that vision anymore and they snap, or whoever they snubbed and oppressed in the pursuit of that vision until the oppressed themselves snap.
