Really enjoyed. I think you could absolutely create a series entirely about building forms with increasing complexity. Hide/Show fields and entire sections of fields based on user input. Validation as you mentioned. Calculations and quoting. Using CSS to make more visually attractive forms (e.g. skinning radio buttons). There isn't a comprehensive course or video series, or tutorial that I've come across that delves deep into form building for PowerPages yet AFAIK. As a PowerPages rookie I would pay for something like that (e.g. on Udemy). To me there's no reason to use all these other paid Forms products (e.g. JotForm) if we can use PowerPages, but there is a learning curve.
Very helpful video for sure. I am still working my way through all the moving parts for the PowerPlatform. Super keen to get my initial POC PowerPages up and running.
Once you get a basic 'Create' form working the rest of the pieces should fall into place. Make sure you let me know if you'd like a follow up video going into the other parts of creating a Power Pages app.
As a small business owner and not a developer more examples and different approaches would assist to reinforce the process. I'd be interested to see an example with a shopping cart and connection for credit card payments might work with PowerPages.
Is it possible to make a cms website with power pages? Users are anonymous(extern). They sign up and log in, see a common dashboard and own details page( to see and change their informations like address, phonenumber etc) ? and pricing is then also ok you think? around 500 people will login and use the cms example. and thanks for hard work!
Hey #chino, thats really a good video to learn, I just wanted to know how and where this webapi is been created, because in Git repo also it was not present
I'm exploring the idea of building an application similar to UDEMY using the Power Pages application. I'm currently in the midst of the development process. However, I've noticed that Power Pages doesn't seem to have a built-in Catalogue Option. I'm unsure whether we can create this feature using VS Code. If anyone has insights or suggestions on this, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This was very helpful. I have to use "when power pages calls from a flow" trigger to send data to dataverse? We have two developers working on the same page, one front end and another backend. Do you have a best practice video showing that?
Hey there..thanks for your comments. My series on building apps for Power Pages highlights an alternative way, using the WebApi interface to send data to and receive data from, Dataverse (and other sources) to Power Pages. This means you are communicating with your data source directly from the page and you do not need another tool like power automate to do the heavy lifting for you.
@@ChinoDoesStuff I was able to do this with my project so thank you for the help. Have you worked with lookup columns and created child records before? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you again.
When you say we need to add this special JavaScript code into our projects at 44:13, what official Microsoft document talks about doing that? You got a link?
Not sure about a link, but to be fair, I have including a link to my GitHub page where I give you the code and I did say you can pause the video if you just wanted to copy what I used.
An intro to Power Pages? Yes please!
Thanks for making this video, I would love to see a continuation of this project!
More to come!
It has finally arrived. I'm keen to watch it soon 🙃
