Mitsubishi Colt 1.1i Water Pump Swap incl. V-belt

- Terrible noise after cold start came out of the engine. The root cause is in my opinion after multiple v-belt tesioning procedures worn out v-belt and water pump that turns kind of hardly, even though seals. The belt pulley is also trenched in from the v-belt. We can see at the beginning of the video, that the belt was sliding around the pulley, not able to drag it with the same speed.
TOOLS:

Hi, something is comming. Clutch, valve clearances etc. But it takes time. What do you need? Thank you
Big like mate and thank you for sharing the pump replacement procedure ,my little monster started squeaking just like yours
Yes, it is bad. But what I thought about that noise is, that it came really because the belt was sliding over the water pump pulley...so what could be possible is to roughen the pulley, i is all polished from the belt, maybe with a file first...no idea if that will work, but it might :)
Thank you for charing. You did good job. We need more about colt vidéo.
Thank you very much!
We want more videos please! (Fuel filter, obd location, gear knob replacement, dash clock removal....Great job sir Big Like and subscribe!!!
Interesting ideas, thank you for that, I will try to find time also for these. What is bothering me now is that this engine has no hydraulic valve clearance adjusters and noone looked over the valve clearances for 160.000 km. So I think I have to check that first.
@@REBUILDLab wow sounds good! Good luck continue doing this great job! Thank you for helping us

Hi, thank you for sharing great content. Could you please tell as what is the size of the socket that you use? it doesn't show good on camera.
13 for the alternator I think, 16 for the journal bolt, 5/16 torx for the pulley
Tnx for the share...i fixt it also...
Glad to hear that, You are welcome
Nice i wonder where is the termostat i cant figure .
Hi, you can see it at the alternator swap at approx. 5:30
my mitsubishi colt rmp go high to 2500 when cold start and after 5 minutes or 10 in gos down to 850.. Do you maybe now whats the problem>?
Hi, tricky, you have to probably chceck the mass airflow sensor, also clean the throttle body and check for vacuum leaks/broken suction hose etc. But the real problem really I don't know, you have to go for diag, it could be also some faulty sensor that makes the engine think it has to tev up so much. Sorry and good luck
@@REBUILDLab Thank you really much for response i will try to check everuthing step by step!
