Hey guys, I can't wait for this live premier, it's going to be a good one! But it's also almost 2 hours long, so it'll be premiering an hour earlier than usual... so make sure to ring the bell to be notified so you don't miss it!!
Heeeey! You actually did the real talk video, I can't believe a youtuber would ever do my suggestion, I'm super impressed! And it's really nice to get to know you a bit better. What an interesting life so far 🙌🏼 Have a good one and take care!
It's funny because when you bring up kitchen burnout immediately all the people who have worked in kitchens will say something! At least we have solidarity! :D
Your voice is so calming and you speak with such confidence. Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself. It is fun to live vicariously through your adventurous life!
The Mom of one of my friends from my hometown says that everytime I visit "Come and tell me what you've been up to the last year so I can live vicariously through you!" haha
@@MapleWhispersASMR Ha -- I should actually thank you for distracting me during the game. It was not going well and you gave me something else to focus on! (although we did manage to pull out a win.🙂)
@@MapleWhispersASMR Lol -- you're very nice, but we were actually heavily favored to win, which is why it was torture to see them struggle! (I love games where we dominate - SO much less stressful! 😁)
This has been a really cool video. I listen to your content at work. You “keep me company” while I work. I enjoy your videos and wish you nothing but continued success. 🤓👍
I've heard lots more people recently saying they use asmr while their doing work, I don't think I could get that to work for me as I'd just get distracted from my work 😂😂 But I'm so glad I was able to keep you company today!
It was actually very cathartic! Now that I've done it I definitely recommend it to anyone as an exercise, even if you're just writing it down... it's nice to think about everything you've been through and all your highlights!
I have to just say, I almost didn’t fall asleep when you mentioned New Zealand and Lord of the Rings 😂. This rambling video has been one of the best videos I’ve watched (not saying your other videos weren’t the best)! Thank you for sharing so much about yourself! Also, favorite LoTR character?
Haha, now I'm imagining you were half asleep and heard LOTR and your eyes shot right open! I'd have to say my favourite character is Arwen because for a little bit my Mom had wanted to name me Arwen... so I have to support my (almost) name sake!
Wow! You have become of my favorite ASMR artists over the last few months, and learning more about you and your life makes me appreciate your work even more. I'm curious, you said growing up your family was very outdoorsy, but you didn't try skiing until you moved out west: had you done any cross country skiing before then? Seems like you should be able to do that about anywhere in Canada. I grew up where there were snowy winters (and am about to move back to such a place for the skiing), but realize that there were plenty of folks there that never tried XC skiing.
Aww that's so lovely to hear, I'm glad you appreciated the video! I hadn't done any type of skiing before I moved, I'm from southern Ontario and we are one of the places in Canada that's FLAT flat flat. Also since my parents are more frugal we didn't usually do more expensive activities like skiing, more cheap outdoors activities like camping :)
@@MapleWhispersASMR Well, flat flat flat isn't so much of a problem (I grew up in the Red River Valley, Ontario cannot be flatter than that!), and frugal isn't necessarily a problem (XC skiing can be tried for cheap), but access to ski trails and cheap rentals would be needed, and I'm surprised to find that if I search for XC skiing around Toronto you don't get much for trails! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, as it seems to be a regional thing in the US: in the northeast, you don't find many public ski trails, but in the upper midwest they are all over the place. For example, public golf courses become ski trails in the winter, with very affordable equipment rentals. You find that in Minneapolis/St. Paul, you find that in Winnipeg, but looks like not in Toronto. Winter's coming soon, so that's my challenge to you: find a place to XC ski and give it a try! Less thrilling than snowboarding, but a different sort of fun.
@@WadePearson I have tried it out in BC! I had loads of fun! I knew it would be less thrilling than snowboarding but it was more thrilling than I thought it would be. It's a huuuge workout if you're not accustomed to it as well.
For a more serious game I'd say something like betrayal at house on the hill, wingspan, or elder sign. Then for more party games my absolute favourite would be joking hazard, and also telestrations and code names. I also love secret role games like one night warewolf and secret hitler. :)
@@nintendo64isking potentially in the future, but it would have to be after I move as it's really difficult to film anything in the evenings where I am haha
Hi Maple 🙂 So you started working in a kitchen, then New Zealand, back home, a major fire, New Zealand again, then 3 weeks in travelling around Greece and Turkey, then more travelling, covid, Barcelona, then you got into making ASMR videos (whatever they are 🤔) and here you are now back in Canada. So basically, you have led a really boring 😴 life, haven't you? 😂😂😂😂 Seriously, you have had quite a life. Maybe you should write a book 📖. ASMRtists seem to lead very interesting lives. Regarding your pet hates about explanations, that reminds me of UK soaps. They constantly do arguments that don't need to end up in arguments because of a misunderstanding. Normally at the end of the episode. So annoying 🙄. These kind of videos are great for me. I like learning things about people. Regan ASMR often talks about her life in videos and you learn more about the 'real' person on the screen. You are definitely one of the very best ASMRtists. I have said that to a few other ASMRtists as well but you really come across well on the screen beyond the actual video. Every minute of your video was interesting. Thank you for making it. 🤗
I have had quite a life for sure! Although it's definitely had some hard times in order to sustain that kind of lifestyle. I'm glad you found it interesting learning a bit more about me! I really enjoyed making this one and I'm so happy to share a bit more of me. :)
No greek at all! I'm 50% German and 50% British. Although somehow I ended up with cool undertones to my skin, which is more of a Mediterranean feature, and both of my parents have very warm skin tones, so no idea where those genes came from!
