I absolutely love my city. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else but having recently gone to places like LA & MIAMI i have to admit HOUSTON doesn’t compare. To be honest HOUSTON isn’t a tourist city like those 2 I mentioned. BORING is the word that keeps popping up in my head & it’s sad cus we are a great city. 4th or 5th largest city but yet nothing really draws u here like LA or MIAMI. I think mainly because it’s usually 1000 degrees here which discourages u from even visited all these boring places mentioned. Like I said I love my city but we aren’t a tourist attraction or the tourist attraction we could be🤷🏾‍♂️

And the question tht keeps popping up in my head is wht part of Houston are you from??Bcuz clearly your out your rabbit a** mind if you think Houston isn't up to par w/ cities like L.A. or Miami And especially Miami bcuz only advantage Miami has over Houston if you could even call it tht is a beach and we have a beach Galveston yea sure Miami has bluer && pristine waters but thtz abt it Everything else goes to houston we have better entertainment, nightlife greenery, food, culture, jobs education the list goes on And on so perhaps you should get out more often then not Houston is my city born and raised here Been alive for 34 years && Im just now finding out alot abt htwn tht I didn't know before like the underground tunnel and entertainment I dnt think people realize just how massive Houston really is && it's a reason houston is currently leading the southern parts of the U.S. and is in the top 5 in the nation Miami isn't even in the top 10 hell it isn't even in the top 20 it falls way behind coming in at #44th place😎🤷‍♂️🤘💯

    • @Htownbj
      @Htownbj Год назад

Some of ur post I would ABSOLUTELY agree with u but some of it I share the same sentiments u share for me GALVESTON? The BEACH? And u comparing that to MIAMI & LA? No mam UR OUTTA UR 🐇AZZ MIND. We weren’t talking bout jobs & things of that nature because ur right we got all that but what’s there to tour here? I’ll wait? And plz don’t give me DISCOVERY GREEN & all that. Who wants to take tours here like u would in LA or MIAMI? First off it’s a 1000 degrees here usually so theirs no comfort in doing that without sweating ur AZZ OFF. The galleria is the new sharpstown mall now. And basically everything u can do here is on one side of town. Don’t get me wrong like I said before I LOVE HOUSTON but LA & MIAMI is a vibe🤷🏾‍♂️

      In my city *Bradford* there's:
1 - The underground *Sunbridge Wells* tunnels with bars, restaurants and shops which were reopened a few years ago, after being closed for 50+ years the
2 - The village of *Saltaire* with it's network of underground tunnels.
3 - The mini neighbourhood of *Little Germany.*
4 - The *Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.*
5 - The *Bronte Parsonage Museum.*
      Among other historical attractions.
They make you feel like you're in *Georgian, Victorian* or *Edwardian* England, which is probably why countless period TV shows like *Peaky Blinders, Victoria, Gentleman Jack, The ABC Murders* etc, and countless films like *The Walk Invisible, The King's Speech, Official Secrets, Downton Abbey* etc film here on a regular basis.

One major factor I love the most abt my city is how naturally && Aesthetically pleasing houston skyline is &&Unlike cities such as Miami or L.A. Where their backdrop mainly make-up 98% of its skyline L.A's being the mountains && Miami's being the beach Whereas Houstons being all the greenery And bayous running throughout the city basically w/ no backdrop at all Just pure Nature😎🤘💯

Most of Miami isn't downtown. What most people don't realize about Miami is how much greenery there is.

I can think of a bunch of other places in Houston that you failed to mention. The Contemporary Arts Museum, for example. there are also a bunch of restaurants and clubs that you can go to if enjoy the night life, especially in the Midtown and Montrose areas. He also failed to mention that any outdoor areas on this list will be miserable most of the year because of the heat and humidity.

Doesn’t sound like this RUclipsr actually visited this City (which should be mandatory for making such a video). Having lived here my whole life, my suggestion is to visit this city sometime between November 1 and May 1 when the weather is far more likely to be cool and sunny. Houston is a very internatioinal city and one of our great strengths is food/cuisine. Some of the World’s best Tex-Mex and BBQ is right here. Check out tripadvisor or yelp for suggestions. Original Ninfa’s, El Tiempo, Goode company and Papa’s are my favs. And there are many others. One of our great weaknesses besides our summer weather is lack of a real mass transit system. We have a bus network and limited light rail but most visitors will probably want to rent a car or Uber. Be prepared to sit in traffic on our many freeways surrounded by SUV’s and jacked up trucks. We have fantastic craft beer/breweries all over. Check out Karbach or St.Arnold’s or the many others. Be sure to try some real texas bbq (brisket) and catch some great blues at The Big Easy or many other wonderful blues bars. Bring or rent a bike and ride many miles on our wonderful bike trails that connect many parts of the City (especially Heights and White Oak Bayou trails). Or catch a baseball//basketball/football/soccer game at one of our wonderful sports stadiums. Take a trip 60 miles south to Galveston if you want to see the ocean, Gulf of Mexico style (flat, all sand, not much surf unless storm approaching). As video suggests, we have wonderful museums and parks too. Crazy hot humid climate makes for great parks and botanical gardens. Also makes a great breeding ground for mosquitoes so buy some deet if here anytime near summer. Take a tour of the Port of Houston if you want to witness a big part of Houston’s economic engine. The zoo is wonderful and definitely worth a visit. People here are from all over, some are absolutely wonderful and some should pack up and go somewhere else. Houston welcomes you regardless. Y’all take care now.

If you don’t wanna be somewhere without no water around to be in because it gets REALLL HOW AND ITS HUMID AS HELL DOWN HERE, here’s some other options.
    We have Kemah Boardwalk
    Pleasure Pier
The Galleria Mall which is the most expensive mall I work/be at which have any name brand place you can think of from Lv, Fendi, Chanel, Micheal Kors, you name it is there and the mall is so big that the further you walk it gets empty 😂😂😂 And they have Lush the bath bomb place there, and if you watch Love And HipHop rasheedas store is there also sometimes her mother is there.
