I bought an ATI moxie in 45acp single stack a few years ago, I like the pistol but it’s just not reliable. It’s a range toy if I feel like learning how to work on the pistol. The pistol has been very picky about magazines, so far I have 4 magazines that fit, eject and feed, fairly reliably. I own 8 1911, pistols I own 35+ single stack magazines for all of my 1911’s Only 4 work on my Moxie! I own a Colt government model minted in 1918, that rattles like a maracas when shaken, and it works, very reliably while using all of my magazines.
I have the Moxie single stack and love it. It has never had an issue. Run hot and cold reloads through it and has never ever had a problem cycling, feeding. Also I have numerous older 1911 mags and it feeds perfectly. Also, there a review out there where someone takes down Moxie and showels where many of the parts are smoothed out and fitted like you would get with a much higher priced gun. I have an ATI polymer lower in me AR too and it's awsome too.
Thanks for video. I picked up a Tisas 1911 for $400 down here in SC at Palmetto Armory. But if I'd had know about these I would gone this route to get the double stack. Now I got another pistol I need to add to my budget collection where the most expensive is a $600 Hellcat. Over that and the anxiety kicks in and I start questioning my purchase.
Nice demo! I almost got am ATI Fat Boy years ago but went Glock 30 FS. This double stack is sweet! However I have the XD Elite with a 13 round extenteded mags. At that price I would have jumped in this ATI but don't need it. WANT IT THOUGH LOL. Thanks for demo and sharing. ATI have been putting out some nice 45 acp for years. Semper Fi!!!!
I’m into all price points, for example I bought my five inch prodigy and already owned 4 staccatos including the XC. Just wish some of the higher end companies would make these ds1911’s in 45!

I’m typically into guns that present a high value proposition. Basically, reliable guns that look and perform well considering the cost. The higher the gun cost the higher my expectations are for accuracy, speed, recoil impulse, etcetera. I’m not into competition shooting or collecting so I don’t see a lot of added value in the 3k and up pistols.

Holosun 407,507 and an Olight Baldr pro. I like this for the price. I got a ATI GI 1911 for like $350 and it works great. This one im probably gonna get.
Interestingly, both this and the SAR K2 use the same magazine body, the Para Ordnance pattern magazine. Rock Island Armory double stack 1911s also use the same pattern. Remington bought Para and used to make 15+1 .45ACP mags. I was lucky to grab a bunch from a reseller since RemArms isn’t making them anymore. Only difference between the SAR K2 and double stack 1911 mags are the follower, and there are people out there who sell just the follower so you can make Para mags completely compatible with the SAR K2.
@@gameragodzilla I got mine used and it came with only 1 17rd mag. I bought 2 15 Rd mags for it and bought the +2 extenders like the one it came with had but I can't remember the brand for the extended base plates. There's only 1 online that makes them tho
@@guerom1367 Sounds like Arredondo extensions if it’s +2. I saw they were still fairly common. Taylor Freelance also has compatible extensions since they make them for RIA, which as I said is also Para pattern. Those are +3 for .45ACP and I use them for my mags. With the Remington mags that are already 15+1, that meant the extensions were 18+1, which is a lot of .45s.
They've been out of stock everywhere for months. I called ATI and they said they were starting production back up 3rd week of June. Hopefully back in stock soon.

Nice! I have just ordered one. I will have to compare to my ATI Fatboy 1911s. Looks like a few similarities. I m also curious if my Para Ordnance P14 magazines with fit without any mods. I can get those fairly easy at a decent price.
Im curious to see you get a super expensive 2011, because i want to know if they live up to the hype. Im looking at staccato or legion precision. But if the girsan can hang i might get a girsan. But im might support legion precision to support the culture and help grow that company.
I own the single stack version. One of the most unreliable handguns I’ve ever owned. The gun has been back to ATI twice and still doesn’t run right. Magazine problems , doesn’t lock open after the last round, some double feeds etc etc. The gun when it does actually work is actually pretty accurate and has little recoil for.45 ACP. The red dot mount is nice also. I was a law enforcement officer for 35 years and would definitely not carry this handgun. No way will I be buying the double stack after this experience.
How do you know what ammunition I used😂? I used 60 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 200 Grain +P and Wilson Combat and Sig mags. The gun is junk. Trigger fell off twice after being sent back for repairs and other problems. Maybe I received a lemon ? Who knows. Your psychic powers failed you. I didn’t use 230 grain “Range “ ammunition.😂😂
Bro, you has a nasty collection going on here. I just got back into hangs after they changed the gun malls in my state to where I can carry. And before that was high-end PC p air guns. People say it sounds stupid but a lot of them had just as much, if not more power than a firearm bus. That was legal here to shoot some of them. Required expensive suppressors, though. I'm back into the gun game in this gun. Really Called my eye just because of the look. So I didn't even see the price right away. I think it's beautiful. I'm not a 2011 guy at all. But the one I was looking at. Yeah, just like this is a 45. I don't. Care for 1911 unless it's 45 caliber. And they are beautiful and mainly one that I can carry and hopefully has rails. This gun checks Every box do you know Alban the other magazines? It's compatible with because unfortunately I live in Maryland and have to go to p. A to get nags and when I do I go big
