As a Thai living in Bangkok may be I think Bangkok can provide everything you need from five-star hotel to >10$ room, from the world newest innovation to something locally made. You can really find everything. Some movies are also available before US and you know you may surprise the quality of our theatre here in some departmen stores such as Icon Siam, Emquartier and at this moment there are so many concerts from many artists around the world. I have been to concerts every week since the last month ( Last night "Joji" was crazy good) so I would say Bkk is so convenient and comfortable to live. However, if you would like to live slowly, you can go to Chiang Mai for Ca'fes and camping (the best season to do this activity because on the mountain it s starting to get cold and the nature is amazing there with sea fog.) In the south, I prefer "Krabi" than "Phuket" because I think Islands and beaches in Krabi are more fascinated. It also got 'Onsen" from a forest waterfall (I cant remember the name). So if I got 45 days in Thailand, I would spend first week in the north to relax and adapt my timezone then go to the south for 2 weeks then go back to Bkk for a week or two to finish the trip.
P.S. I dont mention about the food because eating here in Thailand is always the best everywhere. you can find various kinds of foods around the world in our country. just google it.

The first inscribed Thai word on the stone tablet "ปทุมชาติ" (Pa-tum-chart) is one of a common variety of lotus plant in Thailand. It is known in English as Nelumbo nucifera. The second Thai word just means sculpture. On the third line, it just says the symbol of Benjakiti park. The whole thing can be read as The sculpture of "Nelumbo nucifera" is the symbol of Benjakiti park.

Hello Anna and Trevor, I am happy to see that you are in Thailand! My boyfriend and I loved the Krabi area.. We also like beaches and don't like crowded places and stayed at Tub Kaek sunset Beach Resort. The beach was very beautiful. It was actually the first scene on the Hangover 2 movie. You can go on a day trip to Railey beach, which is very beautiful. You can also go on a day trip to Hong Island. We then went to Koh phi phi Don, which is also very beautiful. The Koh phi phi Village resort was wonderful and was in a uncrowded place on Koh phi phi Don. You can take a day trip by boat to Koh Phi Phi Lei to see the famous Maya Bay. If you have more time you can go to Koh Sok National Park. It is very beautiful! You can stay at the Elephant tent camp and the floating tent camp. Enjoy your wonderful trip in Thailand!!

we usually put Kub (for male) and Ka (for female) after sentence to make it more polite. for example when you say thank you - you say Kob-Kun-Kub or Kob-Kun-Ka, instead of Kob-Kun alone. Try to put Kub and Ka after every sentence. it's polite and practical(saying without Kub and Ka to stranger is may considered rude) and make you sound more lovely , trust me ! 😊
Basic Thai word you may need to know:
Thank you = Kob kun kub/ka
Hello = sa wad dee kub/ka
    Very delicious = Aroi mak
    How much = Tao rai
ask for less sweet = Wan noi (you may find that drinks in Thailand is often very very very and too sweet)
    Spicy = Phed
less = noi, more = mak, no = Mai
so less spicy = Phed noi, more spicy = Phed mak, no spicy = Mai phed

You may have figured this out by now (since I know the videos are a few weeks delayed), but if you are going to try your hand at speaking Thai, end your sentence with "Krap" (if you are male) or "Ka" (for females). It is customary and considered polite! Other tips would be: 1) Try Singha Beer instead of Chang for a change (I prefer Singha); 2) If you are not there yet, go to Krabi Province and Khao Sok National Park; You will absolutely not regret it. Both are magical! Love seeing your content and seeing you guys in Thailand! I'm already looking forward to the next video :)

you get 45 days and you can go to immigration and get another 30 day extension. Then you can hop to another country and come back and do that again 2 times (visa likely reverts back to 30 days with 30 day extension in March.)
also, IMO, get out of Bangkok as soon as you can. unless you like big cities there are much more interesting more authentic Thai places ... if you like beaches (and will actually use them) then head south ... if you like nature, them head North (Chiang Mai, where I'm living is one of the digital nomad capitals of the world) either way, flights are cheap and an hour or two flight will get you from top to bottom.

It is called Pathumchart, a sculpture piece that depicts lotus flower. Pathum = lotus, chart = nation, roughly lotus species. BTW, Benjakitti park is adjacent to Lumpini Park, the first public park in Thailand built by King Rama VI to emulate Hyde Park. The king when as a young prince was sent to a boarding school in England. There is a green skywalk that links two parks together. Benjakitti Park and its new extension (forest park) area used to be Tobacco Monopoly of Thailand's factory in the old days. The factory was relocated to faraway province for a decade now. Thai words: Sawatdi is used for greeting at any time of day, Khob Khun = thanks, La Korn = good bye, Mai Pen Rai = It's OK. Aroiy = delicious. The cheapest iced freshly brewed coffee is 35-40 baht for a takeaway but if you buy in cafeteria of public hospital/university, there is simple bench/table for you to sit on. In my housing village, the price was 35 baht for 10 years but it was increased to 40 baht last month! Coffee menu is latte, capuchino, americano, espresso, mocca, all 40 baht. For iced tea such as green tea, ceylon tea, Thai tea, lime tea, iced Milo, it is still 30 baht for the last 10 years!

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAILAND!
I went in Jan2020. Spent 3days in each-Visited Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Packed so much in and decided that a 2nd visit is much needed. There are 3 YT'ers I follow that live in Thailand full-time...notime2bsad, thai girl gift & foreigner joe, journeys with Mike and Niccole (just moved there this year). Next trip I plan to (1) stay longer, (2) take the train and (3) pick other places to visit.
    Pattaya-Kanchanaburi-Jomtiem-Prachuap Khiri Khan for starters!
Love Bangkok but I love busy cities; Phuket was okay, did the island hop day tour, and Chiang Mai was great.
Definitely get a foot and thai massage... daily. Your body will love you after you've spent all day walking!
Much love to you. I look forward to the series...may give me some more ideas of other locations to add to my growing list!

Most cities in Thailand are easy to live depending on what kind of activities you enjoy. Bangkok definitely is most vibrant as there's everything for everyone at every kind of budget. Chaingmai is charming smaller city and has everything you need as well except beaches but it has mountains. During March April it's smokey season and very 🥵. Phuket is touristy and expensive but nice beaches.

You can go to Immigration and extend that 45 days for another 30. Will cost 1900 baht. Will give you a total of 75 days. If you like chill, laid back and great Coffee, go to Chiang Mai. Traffic is not so bad, you can rent a bike and get out into the mountains. Visit some hot springs, waterfalls. Go up to Chiang Rai, visit some Coffee /Tea Plantations. So many options, especially for vlogging.
The south is great, very beautiful beaches, nice hotels but right now full of tourists and just in the last month especially Phuket has become very expensive. Krabi ,ko Samui (lamai beach area) , ko Pha Ngan, ko Chang are also nice places to visit with great beaches. So many options

We loved Bangkok, yes its a large city but its easy to fly to other locations very cheaply. You can fly to Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore for just over $100 nonstop. You can do numerous domestic travel, nonstop for several days. We do lots of day trips in Bangkok, just take a bus, boat 30 minutes outside of the city center and its a very different city. We rent a service apartment for 2 or 3 months.
The real Bangkok is not the area that you are staying at btw its a very western part of the city. Definitely explore outside that area before you decide.

Hello. Looking forward to watching this series. If your more into beaches head south but my favourite place is Chiang Mai. Also when speaking Thai check into using female and male versions. Do use “ka” and “krab” - If you are a woman, it is appropriate to end sentences or greetings with “ka.” For example, “sawasdee” is hello in Thai…as a woman, you would say “sawasdee ka.” If you are a man, your sentences should end with “krab,” so “sawasdee krab” is a proper hello. Hope that helps. 🙏
