It looks almost identical to the PS4 version just with a lower resolution and frame rate. Its an HD remaster of a PSP game, there is only so much they can do.

What did they do to Angeals face!?
This remake kicks ass
I think it deserves a 9.5 just because of the voice acting but who am I to judge
I loved this on my psp, getting this for my switch lite
I don't know if I'm gonna buy this yet. On one hand, I am really curious for it. On the other, I don't really like Square Enix right now for some the scummy things they did this year. I have still to decide.
NFTs are a sideshow. Square Enix have been on a roll revamping their backlog with decent remasters and returning to their routes. Triangle Strategy, FF Pixel Remaster, Tactics Ogre Remaster, Harvestella, Star Ocean, Harvestella, Diofield Chronicles and Live A Live. Not to mention that FFXVI looks fantastic under Yoshi P who continues to go from strength to strength with FFXIV.
@@Mikey20555 i gotta agree. They have been killing it this year and dq3 remake looks sooo good! As a huge ff fan i can't be much happier, other than wanting them to fix a few bad pc ports.
i owned both xbox and switch version, i feel like this game is made for switch then port to xbox version with higher solution texture ..... if you like handheld mode, switch oled is the best place to play this game, if you like tv mode, get a ps5/xbox version
the fight with genisis angeal and sephiroth was pretty laggy for me. was it just me?
Hilarious to see how well the game runs when gamefreak can't have stable FPS with a game that looks worse than GameCube titles... The world we live in lmao.
DIRGE OF CERBERUS better be next !!!!
Maybe after ff7 rebirth get released in 2023/2024
Dirge of Cerberus Reload
Switch or ps5?
This game was a masterpiece on the PSP which was handled, so I'll go with the Switch
4k 60fps vs 720p 30fps plus portability.
This game was pretty much overlooked back in the day. Glad it got a second wind.
FF7 remake? and FF7 Rebirth? What's the difference in both? I will get Crisis Core this is my favorite FF7 game.
It's clear that this is the more barebones review I've heard yet. Meaning, the reviewer never played the OG which is what I feel looking at this.
playing on ps5 got a few video's up super smooth looks great 😁 in 4k
I'm so excited for this one!
I grabbed it for ps5 just so i have it with my ff7 remake altho i do have og ff7 physical on switch so could have worked either way. Glad it’s good on switch. I still have my og psp copy. Might grab a switch copy when it’s cheaper a year or so for now bc sometimes I’m crazy and buy the same game on multiple platforms 😂
it's an 8 could be a 10. Wanted it for game of the year next year.
A remake/remaster will never win goty 🫠
no shot
When KH3 can run on an Xbox One VCR but not the switch and then we have this gem it just makes Square excuses outright BS and also makes them look cheap and lazy to release cloud versions of games that could run here
When did square ever give excuses? Its pretty clear they did it just to save on time and development costs. I don't remember them ever outright saying the Kingdom Hearts games couldn't run on Switch.
THE ANSWERS IS YES tbh it comparable to the ps5 version
Hey scammer
It's got that silver hair guy from smash bros
They should release it for ps3.
Could you turn the background music louder? I could hear you talking some times
My favorite psp game
Excited to play =)
I got it it runs fine but I can say it looks a little wonky. Hopefully it looks better on next-gen switch.
It looks almost identical to the PS4 version just with a lower resolution and frame rate. Its an HD remaster of a PSP game, there is only so much they can do.
Switch looking close to a ps4 game
fuckin square can do this but make KH1 and 2 cloud versions
Mario kart 7 got an update
Video gome
Now theres no reason not to bring FF7R to switch.
Nope, not even comparable. Crisis Core is an HD remaster of a PSP game while FF7R can barely maintain 30fps on a PS4. It will never be able to run on Switch.
@@Jenema2 as much as I hate cloud versions, Id make an exception for this game.
@@michaelschaeffer6936 Just no. The whole idea needs to be killed dead, unless they sell it at a heavily discounted price which we all know they will not do.
I disliked this game back in the 00’s on my psp. As a fan of FF7 and Jrpg/turned based battle overall, and still am, I was so disappointed in this battle system. But maybe later when it’s cheaper I’ll bite again.
A remaster done right.
Where are Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa?
They are not born yet
Prequel
@@VincCachipiruli Okay. I didn’t know. But cool though.
@@RETR-ExE-113 Okay. I didn’t know. But cool though.
There are there.
Just put it in japanese and turn the voice audio down a bit in the settings 😂😂
So if I have never played either, should I play this before ff7 remake?
Is't surprising to see that a game whit ps5 level graphics is running on the switch whit little eshue
This is not PS5 level graphics, compare this to FF7 Remake Integrade and it’s night and day, this is definitely not THAT good looking.
I'd say it's more comparable to an early PS4 game
@@mariopkmnzelda yeah, it's still pretty impressive for the switch. Crazy you look at efforts like this then look at Pokémon S/V. Lol
The graphics for this game were definitely made with the switch in mind. FF7 Remake is still leagues more impressive and thats a PS4 game. Still it'd be dumb to not also make a port for PS5 even if it really doesn't take advantage of the hardware outside of resolution and framerate boosts.
Cap. This game is running on PS4 HD graphics. No where near PS5 level
Why does this run better than S/V? 😭
Unfortunately our beloving Pokémon company got too lazy and comfortable
Wait...next winter?!
The frame pacing on the switch version is not good. But the frame rate is mostly a solid 30. The resolution is ofcourse low but doesn't look that bad compared to the ps5 version.
PS5 runs at 60FPS and makes running around and battles smoothe like butter on tifas ass
