Doug DeMuro posted in his video that it translates to "Accessory Relays".. fuses and relays . Morse code. Not braille. I doubt Toyota wants visually impaired people driving Tacomas..
Guys I love the channel, but i too am 6'4"and depend on the big boy to GET IN THE VEHICLE! I judge by the way he fits if i should consider purchase. Please consider this in the future. Still going to watch!
You’re in luck, we own a new Tacoma for long term testing. Check it out! Short answer, with the sunroof, I do not fit well. Without the sunroof, I fit very well. I hope that helps 🤟
Love how overlanding has become ‘I’m rich and I have all these expensive things I have no idea how to use’. It’s the new ‘rice’ but for trucks. 😂😂😂 my old wj gets around stuck mf in these nice trucks. 😂😂😂
Hahaha, ain't that right, man? lol. I'm not into putting all of that shit on my truck. The only thing i care about is it performing well abs adding mods to my truck, and that's it. All that other unnecessary shit they add on ends to ruining u the truck over Rome with that extra weight.
Not powered up in that it contains no 12v source because it's a trade show. The vehicle doesn't have to be "running" to take the tailgate down, however
Idk it depends. I don't know much about the ranger but I'm looking at the trailhunter long bed and planning on thowing a camper on it. So that's like 1000 lbs permanently living on the bed. Before the trailhunter got announced people would get the off road and spend like $10,000 on upgrades anyways. So if I don't have to worry about payload and suspensions on the trailhunter then that seems pretty good to me.
No … answering the question in the title. The Colorado ZR2 is more capable as equipped. Simply being objective, but you’ll get a lot of bias & Toyota fanboys trotting out old stereotypes about reliability that have no relevance for modern vehicles.
Enjoy getting to know your Chevy service advisor. Ahh and that same old 8-speed with Federal class action lawsuit against it that shakes like a paint can
@@paulm6481 You're being a bit disengenuous when you say the "same old 8-speed". Chevy did quite a bit to distance itself from the last version, including new internals. Although they could have gone with their 10spd, they didn't (guessing it's based on the new motor). I'd say it's a bit of a wait and see really. There aren't really many other weak spots on the new ZR2.
It's funny you say that but i guess you say the Tacoma is more reliable because yall just keep em as mall crawlers lol. I've not seem a single Tacoma out there on the trails or mud pits. Oh and the fact that they have been close to the bottom as offroad capabilites. If your gonna run your mouth atleast back it up with facts not here say . I bet once you take that Tacoma off road it'll break down lol.
That's a rare thing to come across a Tacoma of on the trail lol. Heh most of them are done up just to be pretty mall crawlers since they suck out there on the trails.

Great review guys

Would've been nice if you would have backed up and given an all around view of the vehicle from the height perspective of a full grown person.
Love to know the cost of this truck with all mods you see right there. Would have to be close to $65K
Bet even higher, bare truck is likely 60-65k. Then accessories $10k, dealer markup, be that sticker is likely $80k plus sitting on the lot.
Unless you want to switch to 17" wheels, just stick a 285 70 or 295 70 tire on here. Small enough to fit but much improved size.
I like the whole setup but I am sure that the price is going to be crazy love to one in person
Hate the wheels, long bed and that silly structure installed in the bed but other than that, looks good.
How tall are you if you have issues with the sunroof?
Why would they put an 18inch rim on the Trailhunter vs 17 on the pro?
Well, since the ZR2 keeps shifting itself back into 2wd when the front locker is engaged...maybe they're even. Lol
Morse code says "Accessory Ready"
Doesn't have a front locker... It will have disconnecting front sway bar
Correct.
Basic question, can you get it with a six foot bed?
yes
What ATN said!
Colorado is better !
i don't think that's Braille. Looks like Morse code and I think it says "ACCESSORY READY"
I'd like to ditch the air intake if I can
Wait, you can’t open the tailgate without the vehicle on? Fail if true.
Only because it’s locked. It locks when the doors are locked
@@TexasTruckChannel Like nearly every truck these days.
Let me know when it gets a solid front axle
Jeep and Eneos has you covered.
so, lets get to the price regardless of how cool this looks.
Only cool matters with a Taco

They forgot to mention the built in air compressor.
This unit did not have that option fitted.
@@TexasTruckChannel Makes sense why you didn’t mention it!
I believe it will be standard on the Trailhunter trim.
Only because of the generator and lights.
More like mall hunter, doesn't even have recovery points in the front.
Not being able to open the tailgate unless the truck is “powered up” is an issue
Not powered up in that it contains no 12v source because it's a trade show. The vehicle doesn't have to be "running" to take the tailgate down, however
Toyota, sell direct from manufacturer. Take dealers out of the equation!
I'll take the 405 hp ranger that costs $10k less

Well when you find this or a ranger raptor at MSRP, let us know.
55k MSRP plus markup. Doubtful

That’s a good looking truck but out of range

You guys should read about Toyota admitting they lied aboit their safety and performance in many of their cars. There is your Toyota reputation
🎉🎉🎉🎉
As long as it doesn't break down. I don't care. Y'all can keep passing me like I'm a turtle. I know I will get to finish line eventually 😂
