- On the Plains of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile and Argentina, three friends are horseback riding while on vacation.
However, they are unaware that an ancient predator has been unleashed back into its ancestral home... and is now stalking them
This is an original Horror Story written and voiced by me, TheDinoFax. I do not own/claim any art/photos used in this video as my own, though I did make some edits to some. They belong directly to the copyright holder.
Special thanks to my sister Shelb for playing the part of Ella, I cannot do a woman's voice to save my life

Hi folks, I see a lot of people asking, but yes, I did indeed write this story myself. Thank you all for the incredibly kind words, and know you have all been heard! More dinosaur horror stories on the way.
Damn the potential variety of these stories is awesome and I love how you incorporated actual speculative behaviors into how the carnotaurus behaves and hunts and I love how you set in South America where Carnotaurus is actually from
I’d be cool to an underwater type setting next, maybe a family out on a vacation yacht gets attacked my a Mosasaur or some other aquatic reptile or creature?
Absolutely amazing. I’d love to see more of these stories!
@@gamemacatron7512 Imagine a Tourist Group getting attatked by Something Like a suchomimis or spinosauros.
@@anjastrauss3398 spinosaurids have for a while thought to only eat fish but there are some who now view them as opportunistic predators that will eat anything (when it comes to spinosaurus especially no one can agree on anything)
So perhaps there could be a story like this, a group of African soldiers or rebels gets lost in a swampy jungle after fleeing a battle and are picked off one by one by a spinosaurus
yieeee
The fact that it still hunts them after it has eaten an entire horse and guanaco shows that it truly is a monster
Not to take away from your point but given how much it would need to eat, I think it's likely it adapted to multiple hunts a day. Plus it's the apex predator chances of it hunting for sport unopposed wouldn't be insane but I think that would just be animalistic over monstrous
The way he wwrote this was as if the animal itself was hunting for sport not hunger keep in min it did have another horse carcass there and still chose toe at eddie..
@@drago9233 that is a fair point but it ate one of the humans and decided to waste its energy trying to eat the others
@@SpareAccount-l9i hence my point about it hunting for sport
polar bears do it some times. It’s not completely unheard of in animals. But I think that’s part of the horror. A find our could have unknown behaviors and we would never know. Until we meant one. That was kind of Jurassic parks whole deal. But this is way more realistic than a raptor opening a door knob.
The fact this happens in daylight makes it even more terrifying.
@@enderethan144 yeah cause if it happen in the night all the suspence that he was building in the start would not have the same effect (less impacting)
Ikr
Then you can’t pretend it didn’t happen.
You can’t treat it like just another bad dream
When comes to horror stories in general they always go setting up in the nighttime but daytime this is a horror story I want to see.
@@hexorthegamer8003 plus in daytime, people will watch in horror while knowing that they can probably do nothing but watch
Yea that why horror stories never work in the night 😂😂@@hexorthegamer8003
Ella's DEFINITELY gonna have nightmares about this, and is probably never going there again
Or worst PTSD
If she even made it.
@@fantasyfan10 I'm sure she somehow made it, granted that riding horses are generally faster than the Carnotaurus, and there is a Guanaco herd that the Carno would probably prefer to hunt rather than wasting more energy on a faster and harder to catch type of prey.
@@m.a.g.y.1796don’t know. That dinosaur is a vindictive bastard like a tiger. Could’ve kept following her back to civilization.
@kiebawhy1730 Dinosaurs are still reptiles, there's no way that the Carno would have all the stamina to follow her back to town. It had also established a territory so I don't think it will bother going beyond its range when it had an ample prey list.
I love the detail that this Carno looked to specifically kill humans, purely out of seeming spite. The fact that parts of it's tail are either marked up by or are covered in barbed wire makes me believe that it was part of a poacher's catch before escaping and now hunts humans as a form of revenge for it's pain.
Hmm,makes sense as a dino guy wouldnt just depict a dinosaur as blood thirsty for humans without a reason
Pretty much why the Indominus Rex in JW was so hostile to humans, like bro that paddock is TOO small.
If you look at most man eating animals in history most of the time they don’t hunt em out of luxury, human beings are simply just one of the easiest animals to hunt which is a scary thought
@@Yoriichi2378 if that pent was scaled to human size,i would go crazy and amok like the hybrid too
I can't imagine how much trauma Ella will have after this. She'll not only be able to see a massive reptile without thinking of the Carnotaurus but she will not be able to step foot in that field again without thinking that Carnotaurus coming after her. Honestly, the most scary dinosaur story I've ever listened to.
Have you ready the original Jurassic Park book?
Or people believing her cause I doubt anyone gonna be believing her story.
I did@@anjastrauss3398
Ima have nightmares know do to this
@@anjastrauss3398 I haven't finished it because I lost it.
damn that was brutal, imagine a horror story with megaraptor or the shadow of death itself, maip macrothorax
Megaraptorans were scary as hell.
Unlike most other theropods, which relied mostly on their jaws to subdue and dispatch their prey, megaraptorans used their powerful arms to subdue their prey, along with their massive claws.
He he no
@@amandaviands7784he he yes..
Maip is definitely a good contender
Maip and utahraptor would be crazy but imagine a tiny atrociraptors ripping you to shreds while you can't do anything but their not big enough to kill you with one attack so you have to feel the pain as they rip your guts out
The best part is that the last scene explains why they found the remains in the state they were in. Horrifying that the method of killing of a lama type animal is so similar to the last kill, especially as they are roughly the same size. That gave me chills, watching it all come together like that. Such a fabulously written story!
R.I.P. that brave horse, and Ed. Goddamnit Sam.
Happy All Hallow's Eve m8. :)
The first one inspired me to write my own about a deinonychus pair attacking a family on vacation at a cabin! This one is absolutely amazing! I love how you incorporated and described the parts of the story. It had amazing visuals.
I mean, you can it could be the aftermath of the fallen kingdom
Can I read it
We definitely need more horror Dino stories
@@Arrowhead-e3m sure once it is finished
Oh please tell us when it's done!! can't get enough of dino horror!!
dinosaurs arent depicted as horror anymore but theys hould be. they are one of if not the most terrifying thing to ever walk the earth.
I think youre forgetting the Humans. Although Dino Horror Stories Like this are terryfing. You shouldnt forget what Humans did in the past.
@@anjastrauss3398 Even in the present we're the scariest motherfuckers
@@anjastrauss3398 ehehehehe
The fact that we still don’t know that much about a lot of them and that we never seen them in action makes them even more scary and mysterious
Dinosaurs have and always will be a mystery. And the only way to learn more about them is if a,living one showed up. But that would be more terrible because we don't know their terrifying abilities. Who knows what behavior the monsters are capable of.
This story in my opinion was far better than the first one you wrote(not that the fist one was bad) but I think you reallly did improve on this and it truly does show.
They are both good, but I actually prefer the first one.
@@duitk no I get it man I wasn't saying the first one was bad I just think this one does do better in a few area's. That's just my opinion.
@@KingofTheGojiras I think I prefer the first one because of the tension and the behavior of the Trex. The Trex in that one behaved more like an animal. The carno here was a bit too blood thirsty. It had just eaten a Guanaco, it probably wouldn't hunt the humans. If it then ate a human, plus the Guanaco earlier, it literally would be full just from the Guanaco. There is no way it would chase the horse for a mile after. Then it also eats a horse, why would it care for the humans when it's already full to bursting and has a horse kill to eat later. It really doesn't make any sense, lions don't pursue prey when they are eating or when they already have a kill. The first story featured the Trex give up after the potential prey caused too much damage, much more realistic.
@@duitk yeah I don't disagree with you on that, I just think the the humans stood to much of a fair chance against the rex in the first one, and in this one although there are some weird monster movie moments witch definitely make it a little more unrealistic. Overall the humans are at a complete disadvantage and helpless against the carnotaur witch I liked more about this one. I think dinosaur horror is at it's best when the characters are at a complete disadvantage and have no way of defending themselves but I do agree with your critiques.
@KingofTheGojiras yeah, actually I think it would been better if we didn't get the whole Guanaco thing, it would been terrifying if they were just riding their horses through the forest and then the Carno ambushed them completely out of nowhere, no bad gut feeling just instant death. If the area did not have plentiful prey either then it would have justified the carno hunting them down.
Ella's scream was probably the most terrifying part
I fucking love carnotaurus. So many more "impressive" therapods and we got shit like synapsids and ancient mammals but this guy still manages to be my favourite prehistoric animal. So simple yet so incredibly effective and cool, unbelievably slept on dinosaur
Holy this story was brutal and depicted the raw horror dinosaurs bring. I hope you’re planning on writing/narrating more they are perfect to listen to!!
Dang, something about a massive Creature being DEAD SILENT before striking is terrifying
I love the longer storys, I watch your shorts commonly but this time I HAVE to give you props for the amazing writing and story telling, and the possibility of a sequel also being there too, really shows your potential as a writer, AND a content creator as a whole. 10/10
"Curiosity killed a cat after all" sam got the same fate he could live if he listen
I honestly love stories with dinosaurs in the modern era.
You know for a short horror story this is on par with Michael Crichton very well written I believe I’m gonna go to sleep and have a nightmare now
Boy this is fire. Wish we had this as a short film.
This is making me think of that one scene during the promotions for Jurassic World: Dominion of the dinosaurs living among us (mainly the one with the Carnotaurus). That was a very chilling story.
You should do more of this dinosaur horror narration. And as you said in the short, these kinds of stories are really underrated.
My friend, this story along with your previous one The Hunt is extremely chilling but also inspiring because it really helps people understand just how dangerous these animals are in real life compared to the ones we see in movies! I’ve been a fan of prehistoric animals my whole life and I’ve never felt so much primal fear just from watching and listening to this story in my whole life. I appreciate your dedication to researching and teaching us more about the actual real dinosaurs, and I do hope you make even more stories much like this one in the future including maybe a Giganotosaurus or even a Utahraptor!
Many thanks from me! ^^
This was really great, I’ve been looking forward to this! Your story made me feel genuinely sad and uneasy and i don’t usually end up feeling that way. I would love more stories from you!
A story about a Baryonx river attack would be quite cool and it would shed some light on another highly underrated dinosaur
“The legends are true. There’s an eye witness. The Patagonian monster is not in fact a monster… but……
*Carnotaurus Sastrei* “
Damn, Ella’s scream got me at 1:00 in the morning
Sorry, I can't be there. I'll be too busy giving kids brussels sprouts that I've disguised as Lindt Chocolates.

that sounds like an excuse but realistic and probable at the same time💀imma take your word for it

You're evil. 😭😂
Amazing work, these Dinosaur horror stories are always worth a watch 👌 I think this brought Carnotaurus a bit higher on my list of favourite dinosaurs...
Great story bro, loved your last one too. Please keep making these. The peril and brutal imagery is perfect
Its true what they say, "not every story has a happy ending"
Dude we desperately need more of your writing out there. Especially in this format. That was fantastic. Great work from everyone such a nice lil touch to have another voice chime in as well as your pitch control for the characters. The only thing I could think to critique(if you can really call it that, it's so minor given the quality) would be to maybe draw or have work done for ya kinda in the style of an animatic if you care more about character appearance or conveying more through visuals. Not to knock the ones you did, not at all, it was fuckin' grand. So happy you made this 💜 and Happy Halloween!
I don’t think he made it
@ I'll bite, why? Cause it seems fairly obvious considering he said it wrote it multiple times.
Bro this was sick! you managed to mix the horror element with the dinosaurs very well, keep doing a great work
12:01 “this is a game trail, predators _hunt_ on game trails, do you want to set up base camp or a buffet?”
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F-
Loved it btw
We need more stories like this
i wish this man did these multiple times throughout the year and not just Halloween
This carno gives Disney's a run for its money in the fear factor with how relentless they were on both sides
OOOOH! I LOVE THIS! I hope we get like a Megaraptor/Utahraptor story next Halloween or maybe something like Dilophosaurus, Ceratosaurus or Irritator. Those would be great to see next year if you do another❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Couldn’t be there (there was a Halloween event in town) but YESSSS DINO HORROR THANK YOU
Dinofax:"feathered dinos are much scarier"
Also dinofax using carnotaurus in his story:
If he used feathered dinosaurs it would be to good that the world's bond would end and dinosaurs would emerge from the core itself.
I don't think they're 'much scarier', though I personally do find them far more unsettling. I've only made 2 stories so far, and as such I've used popular dinosaurs. Plenty left in the tank.
@@TheDinoFax oh, well thank you for noticing the silly comment, and fair point-many audiences would find scaly dinosaurs more recognizing and scarier(mainly bc of pop cultures way of seeing dinos)but eh yeah I get the idea, and tbh amazing stories even if their are only two, keep it up man!
Terrific story! Would love to see you do a dinosaur horror in a snowy environment featuring a yutyrannus, nanuqsaurus or cryodrakon.
I'm actually writing a dinosaur horror story myself for my college assignment, so this is great for inspiration.
Incredible video dude, big fan of your channel for a long time. It is nice and interesting to see these type of videos. Also, i give you props for making this story take place in Patagonia!!!. Keep up the good (and if you want, keep up this type of videos) content. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
The scene of Sam being eaten alive by the carno just chill down my spine, i am actually constantly checking my back in dark places just because of this story.
This is the only story that actually shook me up. I hope Ella made it out alive. This was such a well done story
You are a really good story teller. This is what the Jurassic franchise has been missing. Would love to see a live action film of this story.
Gonna need more dino horror stories from you. Amazing work!
YES! A horror story featuring my favorite dinosaur, FINALLY!
As soon as I heard Patagonia, I knew exactly where it was headed.
Amazing story! Please write more!
Another prehistoric animal horror that would be nice would be someone who lives on a farm and a smilodon is killing his live stock.Btw this story was scary
Maybe a dire wolf would be cooler
@@raymondward8096 In my opinion though the smilodon does sound more threatening
Definitely need more of these. These are Fire.
Damn…. A work of art. Dark, beautiful, and very well written. I would like more, if possible.
I need more horror stories featuring dinos from you! This is amazing!
Wow!! This is so good!
I love Dinosaurs as a Horror genre. I mean they are more terrifying
I love Dinosaurs but seeing them as a Horror Story or video. I'm loving them even more!
Great story! Thank you!
Sweet, I love story time! I appreciate having an abelisaurid as the dinosaur/antagonist of the story, because they are the perfect sizes for hunting humans. Have a good one dude 😎🤙

Sam: "I'm curious. I want to find the animal that killed these creatures"

Gruesome! Loved your story last year, and this one is even more exciting.
Loved the vid DinoFax, hopefully next year you’ll do one about Azdharchids or one about just how dangerous a pissed of Triceratops or Argentinosaurus could be.
Bravo!!!👏👏👏👏👏 Just as great as the horror story from last year! Oddly enough, I was playing Ark while listening to this. I was hunting a carnotaurus while riding my equus😂

Very good story!!!! my friend 😀👍❤️🖤❤️
What an incredible story nice work, i'm looking forward to hearing more
Man you have a talent you should make a book of dinosaur horror stories
Dude, these stories are amazing, the amount if detail you out in them is incredible, from describing the carcasses, to how the grass was. in the end when they were on the horse getting away i had a feeling of hope they were free, but then you changed that feeling into horror as you described his fate to the carno. Truly amazing work once again and I cant wait for the next one 👏👏👏
This is great man, I'm too big of a fan of dinos, we should be friends man!
That death was brutal.
The guanaco noise scared me close to the start
DUDE! The ending……the ending. That was awesome!
I never thought i could get scared of a lizard but THIS proved me wrong.if you make more dinosaur horror storys il support them!
This story definitely was worth listening to. I loved it so much that I kept picturing it in my head as a movie,
One amazing story.. had me anxious listening to it 😮💨
It's nice to see Dinosaur use in Horror Story as they have a lot of potential also ironically there is a South America cryptid resembling Carnotaurus called the stoa, though its say to rome the Kurupira tepui along with other prehistoric cryptids. Can't wait to hear the next Horror Story 😊
Amazing work as always. Our favorite meat-eating bull getting some much needed attention. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you for bringing dino-related horror content. Rare to see good ones nowadays ^^
These stories have definitely inspired me to restart that dino horror story of mine I've been working on recently!
I like the idea of dinosaurs being atleast kinda known, and the idea of dinosaurs roaming the planes, especially a carnotaurus, which is probably one of my favorite dinosaurs
