This is amazing and SO helpful! I am now building my resume step by step as I follow along your video. I was kind of overwhelmed prior to this whenever thinking about the nursing resume and would hold off on it from not being sure how to create a good one. You're the best. One more soon-to-be new nursing grad has been helped out there by you!
Great video! Thank you so much. I'm just applying to nursing school as a respiratory therapist, and it looks like the nursing resume is quite a bit different from what I'm used to. Thank you so much for all of your tips.
This is so helpful. I need the structure and layout that you give unlike so many others that just comment on what to put in and not put in. Thank you so much.
Experience, so your accomplishments get put in with the Facilities accomplishment? (8:00) Tier 1 hospital, Daisy Award, Magnet Hospital, Involved with Unit Based Council.... Seems like these should be separated.
You could opt to put your accomplishments only in your portfolio instead of a resume. You wont have a seperate accomplishments section on your resume which is why I group them together. Depending on the establishment I dont always put all the info in. You want to tweak it to each facility.
Can you please email me a sample template. I just passed my NCLEX and I would like to start applying ASAP and creating a good resume is something I need help with. I did sent you an email. Hoping I’ll hear from you soon. Thanks in advance.
That's a great question, I'm going to do a video on that! I just updated my resume and put "contracted registered nurse" and listed various agencies I worked for.
Yes! Your GPA does go under the education area since your GPA goes hand in hand with your schooling. Make sure it is a GPA worth putting on a resume. You don't actually have to put it on.
@@Katherine_Ann I got a 3.36 at san Jac :[ Do you think that is worth putting on? I also have a BS in psychology from LSU. I think they would mainly want to see the GPA for San Jacinto College ADN-RN Program. What do you think?
Hi Julie, you can send it to my email and I'll try to review it when I have time! My email can be found at my "about me" section. You could also check out my new website ;) and contact me there. www.nursekatherinehere.com

Do you put your GPA under the education header?
Yes! Your GPA does go under the education area since your GPA goes hand in hand with your schooling. Make sure it is a GPA worth putting on a resume. You don't actually have to put it on.
