That really is a neat old truck! You forgot to mention the added on, flashing electric turn signals. That truck was loaded!

My Grandparents had one and I always enjoyed riding with them when Grandpa would roll out the windshield for cooler air.

Your microphone doesn’t work with Google. The camera microphone works fine. Your microphone works on the iPhone. When you switch to the lapel microphone the sound disappears.

Yes sir "necessity is the mother of invention". All of the doo dads we see on today's trucks are of that nature and of course the manufacturers are going to market what sells. Back in the days of old the manufacturers started offering trucks from the factory as they could see sales in a market where people were modifying their cars into trucks. Of course tradesmen only used trucks for their profession, and if you were a businessman or a doctor or a lawyer you didn't own a truck (I am sure there were exceptions). We have always had trucks growing up with the exception of a couple of years and my father until he was older only had a truck in order to make extra money with it. I've had a truck (actually multiple trucks) since the early seventies. This truck is in fairly good shape and it is of course used but it was modified to suit the job.🥸👍
