greek yogurt with lemon juice works very much like buttermilk for tenderizing, marinating and seasoning pieces of chicken, which is what I like to use if I'm just going to season and roast/ grill/ broil chicken. Butttermilk is definitely the right call if you're going to bread something and deep fry it
Try crema Mexicana mixed with a hot salsa!! Marinate for 6-24 hrs. Grill, broil, or air fry. Totally a fusion of learning about Armenian and Mexican cooking but I think it takes the parts of the culture’s flavors
@samwelder6912 that sounds awesome - I want to check that out! I've been playing around with southwestern flavor profiles & a blend of Greek & Middle-Eastern & Indian spices. @@permanentfitness1919if your experimenting with Indian spices I’d recommend dried fenugreek leaves for your marinades- works amazing with chicken and lamb dishes
GUGA been a fan for a long time, as someone who is a serious spice head myself, I would like to make a suggestion. The worst thing to do when eating a super hot sauce is to have one that tastes horrible, like extract (da bomb) or the last dab apollo (straight peppers as the only ingredient) It just ends up tasting very grassy like like a pepper. TRY The Last Dab XXX....it has a lot of additional things in it, turmeric, and coriander, cumin, ginger and dry mustard....It has a fabulous flavor while also packing the heat on nice and strong. Give it a try. I hope you see this.
straight superhots make great hotsauces as long as you counter the bitterness some have. Apollo is actually pretty tasty. I enjoy it but it def isnt the hottest sauce of all. I dont believe that. Da bomb does taste like ass though lol. Personally, i just make my own hotsauces out of super hots. It isnt hard to surpass apollo even without pepper x tho
Angel's laugh after the last dab one just gives bad guy origin story vibes hahah. Guga better look out, they may hit him with another spicy surprise challenge again!
Only the original Da Bomb ghost pepper sauce is made without pepper extract (and it's surprisingly tasty), so you are right it's made just to be hot. The extract make it taste very metallic and not good at all. Would never recommend unless you want to prank someone.
Guga: how’s the chicken? Normal person: I really like it, it’s so juicy. Man you did a good job Leo: It's a mind-blowing, taste bud-tingling extravaganza! The golden-brown crispiness, the tender juiciness, the symphony of flavors-it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth. And the texture, oh my! The crunch, the succulence, the moistness-it's a delightful rollercoaster ride for your taste buds. Trust me, my friend, this fried chicken is a masterpiece worth savoring. You won't be able to resist going back for more. Enjoy the culinary magic!

Sitting in the Miami Airport waiting. Decided to watch a little Guga. I am sure people are staring at me laughing with tears running down my face. LOL. After all the delicious food you guys get to eat, thanks for taking one for your viewers.
Nobody can apparently make a good tasting and incredibly hot, hot sauce. You can get up about as high as a strong mango habanero, but as soon as you go above that the hot sauces are all pure physical challenge sauces where you're not only being asked to endure the sauce, but to decide which is worse, the overwhelming spice or that is tastes awful.
Angel & Leo has to have some sort of payback, it wasn't fair that Guga knew where he injected the chicken, need to do this again but have the other members of the crew prepping and cooking the meat, so its more fair
This was supposed to be "chicken roulette" but there was nothing random about it at all, they ate all the chickens in precise order from least spicy to most spicy. It would have been a lot more fun if Guga had mixed up the chicken pieces on one plate and they had to grab one at a time, not knowing what they were going to get.
@@MarkDeSade100it did. They all could have got a plain piece of chicken. You’re saying it was “meant to be this” but it wasn’t. It’s free content just enjoy it.
The way he did it makes perfect sense. He was going for a comedic effect and increasing the heat level from round to round built tension and interest. They could have all potentially pulled the Last Dab dosed chicken on the first try using your scenario and then the rest of the video would have been anticlimactic. Guga did it the correct way.
Sir, I feel like this could have been done differently... First off, the last dab Apollo isn't the hottest sauce. It's advertised at 2.5m scoville, but there are several sauces hotter. I don't recommend using mad dog 357 plutonium as it's more of a paste than a sauce and is supposed to just be an additive to food. However, the source, get bitten, and the end are all good and very spicy compared to Apollo in my personal opinion. Additionally, I feel like the chicken should be injected/sauced after the buttermilk bath, as you lose a lot of the sauce on the cuts made and diluted into the buttermilk. Other than those ideas, great video!
If you want some hot sauce with a good flavor try Micheal's exotic peppers sauce . I love the pineapple mango and the black garlic . the watermelon is pretty good too
I have the same reaction as Angel. As soon as i know it's spicy food my head starts sweating. And i also expreience it while watching vids like these. Weird how associative reactions work
Part of the pain of the heat of spicy food is smell based. Food theory did a video series on how to fight the last dab hot sauce, and they found just plugging your nose can block a lot of the heat sensation. That combined with key lime pie can drastically bring down the heat of the sauce.
Bro this is one of the most unhinged videos I've watched from you visually. Seeing the birds cut up, filled with hellish spices on the cutting boards... Savage af bro
I love apollo sauce. It actually has great flavor in moderation unlike da bomb. It has fruity notes. I reccomend you try it in a bowl of chili with beans.

If you want to combat heat easily, use lemon juice. There is a cocktail called the Boss Hog that features ghost chili vodka (as well as cucumber vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup). I played around with the recipe doing a trial an error situation on it and realized that it was the lemon juice that cut the heat. To the point that my late mother (who couldn't handle heat at all) was able to take two shots before she stopped because of the vodka...not the heat.
I feel ya, Guga. Hot sauces become milder once you build up a tolerance, and boy does that open up a world of flavor. But you can lose that tolerance if you don't eat the stuff after awhile (and come on, you're not going to every day) and boy does that open up a world of hurt!
