A list of things to make the ghosts in this game more challenging (this is of course coming in from a viewers perspective watching nuzz for so long) Rev: make it 2x speed no matter what Wraith: make it go through walls during hunts Poltergeist: make throwing objects drain more sanity Yurei: make it drain more sanity per minute. Twins: make BOTH ghosts hunt you at the same time Myling: make it even quieter during hunts. Shade: make it hunt at 70% san if you are alone, but 50 if you are in a group Spirit: make it do more ghost events to drain san, and make the smudge stick detour it for 120 seconds not 180 Mare: make it even more active while in dark, more ghosts events and stuff. Banshee: make it more like old banshee where it was more likely to hunt early on and take away the ability to only hunt one person. Demon: make it slightly faster during hunts, enough to make looping really difficult. Phantom is good Goryo: make it drain your sanity faster while looking for dots. Hantu: make it rev speed in cold, and 1x player speed in warm. Yokai: give it some hearing aids during hunts for goodness sake. Oni: make it hunt a 5% sanity per person in group. ( ex: 4 people will make oni hunt at 70%) Onryo: make it 1.25x player speed during hunts. Hope this is a good idea... Lemme know by replying to this comment.
It's weird seeing the Phantom so low down. Even aside from the warping ability, the simple fact of less visibility during hunts puts it above average for me. Maybe not a super-dangerous one, but certainly not a joke either.
@@mason74551 I think I've only had the Phantom teleport happen once, or at least that I've been able to easily tell. During a Prison game a couple of months ago we had an Infirmary ghost room, and during one hunt it chased us to the entrance, where the hunt eventually stopped. The ghost was interacting with doors in there basically as soon as the hunt was over. And sure enough, the next hunt happened from the entrance area. After that it was back to its normal spot. This happened before I knew the Phantom could teleport, so I had thought the game bugged out and didn't send the ghost back to its room or something.
@@mason74551 I had phantom kill me on prison with the use of that power. The ghost room was in cell block A and it started a hunt right in front of my while I was alone in the middle of that large hallway outside of the reception area. I tried to hide, but didn't do while at cutting line of sight (this was right after the patch that ghosts got their los speed boost). Needless to say, I'm also surprised seeing the Phantom so low on this list. Same for Wraith as well. I would actually put them above Jinn.
Something for RUclips watchers that may not have been able to read this story when I put it in chat: One of the Phas Devs, I think C.J., once shared a story about when they were Playtesting Nightmare difficulty. The weather was foggy, and they didn't know there was a Hunt going until the Rev came barreling out of the fog at Mach 7
Exactly. It's speed boost synergizes so well with it requiring 3 electronics for evidence especially with one of them (DOTs/Video Cam) basically always being turned on, and it being able to early hunt with electronics nearby. It's weakness isn't even that telling with electronics freaking out more easily. Honestly, listening for how quickly it zooms from a hiding spot is probably the only flaw that this ghost has IMHO, and is actually a rather reliable way to ID it (only a pursuing Revenant has a matching speed, and if you're hiding you know that it isn't pursuing). Revenant honestly should have been in A tier with the Demon. It can be very deadly if you don't expect it or get caught in the open, but if you quickly break line of sight it becomes too slow to catch back up to you, especially on larger maps.
@@anthonyk3952 exactly man, one time I booked it down a hallway away from a Raiju, and I forgot to turn off my flashlight, so it ended up catching me really fast. I knew Raijj was a possibility, so it was my bad, but they scare me.
I would have to agree. I refrained from answering any of the polls just because I haven't played consistently in several months, I don't feel like I have an accurate grasp on what ghosts are actually powerful or not - especially with the recent new additions.
I will own up. I am among those who watch these phasmo videos, but don't see this the wrong way. I do want to play this one day. Just don't have a pc yet
To be fair, Nuzz never clarified that it was only for people who played the game. I doubt these stats will be submitted as hard evidence for anything. Definitely just a fun poll to gauge everybody's opinions.
idk about community tier list, but you should do a tier list on the difficulty of each ghost on nightmare difficulty. Some of the weaker ghosts on this list are actually fairly annoying to accurately identify on nightmare, like poltergeist, yurei, shade + oni (if on single player), banshee, and mare
I remember giving a 5/5 to Wraith when the poll was active solely because of the one experience I had. We had a basement Wraith on Willow and we had to get our sanity to 25%, so I hid behind one of the cabinets in the bedroom. The wraith happened to use its ability to teleport into the room I was in, and then proceeded to hunt, which ended up killing me pretty quickly. From then on, I hate wraiths and I'm mildly terrified of them, lol. Spirits are another one I rated higher, I believe I went with a 4. While they don't have any particular strength, majority of Spirits I get are very aggressive, moreso than most other ghosts I encounter. They've always been the ones most likely to manifest several times, hunt the moment sanity hits 50%, and are constantly active. I'm not quite sure if my experiences with them are the same as other players, though, especially since it was rated so low. It's interesting to see different player's perspectives of each ghost type and their danger levels, though. :)
I gave the Twins a 5/5 for the exact same reason, but it didn't happen only once, or twice, it seems like half of the Twins I get bamboozle me like that. Just a lot of activity happening in the ghost room, then a hunt starts, and it was from the decoy twin, and it just so happens to be exactly in my escape route. Died a couple of reasons because of that and had a few more close calls. But the Wraith though? Never noticed it using its ability, in my 300 hours of playtime. And identifying a Wraith is just a question of pouring salt in some bottlenecks and having a UV light nearby. Way too easy, so for me its definitely a 2, maybe a 3 max.
Very interesting to see how this shook out. I'm surprised the Oni and Mare weren't up a tier, but maybe that's just my own experience. I feel like the Yurei used to drain sanity much more clearly. When it was first introduced I used that as secondary evidence fairly reliably, but I agree it's nearly impossible to tell as of late. Great vid! I love the community interaction
I'm one of those people who hate Banshees the most. I thought that after the addition of Raiju and other ghosts, I won't care for Banshee, but I've had 2 Banshee experiences since the update that just made me scared of/hate/love Banshees more: 1. I always just throw a crucifix in the entrance of the house at the start of a mission and when my team and I went to turn on the breaker and came back to the entrance, the crucifix was already eaten out of 2. We did a Banshee test twice on this one ghost, and it kept going for my friend and I was so happy! My other teammate just followed the ghost and it didn't care for her. So I decided to do the same. And then it killed me even though the supposed target is in the house still! Worst part, MY OTHER FRIEND DIDNT DIE FROM IT. It just ignored her again! I just absolutely love and hate Banshees.
I cant understand why people overrating the Revenant still over the Raiju. A Rev is definitly dangerous but his weakness is also very high. They slow down so much thats so easy to escape them on smaller maps (even on bigger maps if you have enough corners to loop him) because you can just lose their sight while sprinting and thats done. He slows down so much. The Raiju is still fast even if he never sees you (and equipment is active nearby him). Also his 70% Hunts are way more dangerous and catching you off guard so often. A Rev can only hunt at 50%. A rev is a stable A tier but not anymore an S tier since the Sprintingsystem is there.
A rev killed me few days ago on one of the farmhouses, but mainly because we couldn't figure out where the ghost room is. Had no idea where to hide, I admittedly panicked a little when hearing the heartbeat and started running toward the stairs when it caught up to me ;-;
@@16eleonor A rev is still a dangerous Ghost because if he still have line of sight to you, you cant really escape him (only a smudgestick would save you there).
The Revenant's weakness is that if you get one of it's evidences everyone start be like:" Yikes, Rev incoming" and start to prepare for it instantly, so in the time when Rev can hunt everyone are well prepared for this. As for Raiju, Yokai and Demon they can catch you off guard and kill you. Especially Raiju. I was playing on Willow Streethouse few days ago and Raiju just start a hunt at 65% sanity, zooming on me at a Sonic speed and kill
Damn, the first 4 ghosts were my 1 star ghosts, I felt good about the tier list until the phantom is at 2 stars, what. Phantom was 4 star for me, it's a ghost that uniquely poses a threat in a hunt based on a lack of visibility instead of speed - if you prep enough sensors and light you can counter this, but it really makes taking hunt photos harder and getting hunted when you are in the ghost room may mean you walk right into the ghost because you don't see it, and it can also drain sanity much more quickly in a manifestation. Also I think people vote Obake higher not knowing much about it as a new ghost, definitely 1 star for me.
I think the Phantom and Wraith deserve to be a little higher up due to their ability to reposition in surprising ways for hunts. Goryo, myling, and Obake deserve F Tier. They don't do anything that makes them more dangerous such as reducing sanity faster or early hunting. However the Yurei and poltergiest do because they CAN early hunt by reducing your sanity faster. not by much, but still faster than the other E tiers.
It should be noted that ghosts that have no direct bonuses to hunting can still be considered more dangerous if they take longer to identify. So if you're trying to find Goryo DOTS in the room and without a camera (because you don't know yet), that's extra time you've given the ghost to hunt you. Obake might fool you and cause you to take longer if you didn't have a UV Light immediately ready. Myling... I've got nothing, it's a joke.
Every single ghost is so kinda boring (except for Raijus and Revenants) because the developers are too scared to give them unique behavior as it would be "too easy", but honestly like the journal lies so much, in reality some of them never even use their abilities...
There probably needs to be a different tier list for Nightmare and Professional- difficilties. Some ghosts difficulty level varies wildly with or without the Nightmare changes. In Nightmare, the Poltergeist's multi-throw is basically purely a weakness in that it makes them very easy to identify. Meanwhile, on pre-nightmare difficulties it becomes a lot stronger, often screwing up your ghost activity chart. Poltergeist multi-throws are the only thing stopping you from 100% ignoring the EMF scanner viable over just reading the activity chart each time you go back for equipment. Meanwhile, on Nightmare, the Shade, Oni and Revenant get a big difficulty boost. Shade vs Oni is a possible scenario depending on which evidence is hidden, and is a massive pain to test for, with the player needing to stay around the ghost for long periods of time watching each interaction and hoping to see a big throw, which isn't always obvious, and even if you do know the game well enough to read Oni from throw distance, since it's not guaranteed that it'll do a big throw, you can never know 100% whether your shade guess isn't just a shy Oni that decided not to do its big throw until after you've ended the game. Meanwhile Onryo, Revenant, Yurei and Hantu is another possible nightmare combination, where you need to let the ghost start a chase to identify, which gives Revenant an edge that it normally wouldn't have. I'd still put Raiju over it because of the combination of being both fast and early, but Revenant is a lot scarier in Nightmare where you need to get chased in order to identify it than it normally would be, making its 50% sanity hunt threshold less of a big deal since you do always need to get hunted at least once.
I take it the Revenants reputation still precedes.it. I think I'd like to see the Mare's ability pushed a bit harder (i.e. hunt 70% in darkness to match the demon). MAybe give it some other darkness ability too.
The Shade might be underrated since it tends to give away little evidence and is thus harder to find and identify. And knowing it's a Shade might lull you into a false sense of security :D We once were in the ghost room with two people and it still started a hunt. Nice video btw., interesting list and comments!
I used to be terrified of wraiths since most of the ones I encountered were very aggresive and I referred to the Rev as 'The King'. But since the new update with Nightmare mode, changes to hunts and the updated roaming behaviour I'm terrified of demons with those chain-hunts from different flanks and my death count has increased A LOT only because of Raijus. Seriously, Raijus have killed me more times than the other ghosts put together. Do not mess with Raijus.
I feel like the mare deserved to be at least on C tier. Especially on harder difficulties where wandering has been buffed. Once they wander out of a lit room into a dark room they can hunt you instantly while you're out of position. I've also noticed that the Mare is MUCH more aggressive with turning off lights in the ghost room, which makes it hard to keep their hunting threshold low. I personally feel like the revenant's speed boost comes into play more often than the jinn. The jinn requires too many conditions for it to speed up, I've never even felt the jinn's speed boost unless I was in a long hallway in high school. The jinn's sanity ability is actually stronger than its speed imo. I do agree though, 100% the raiju is much stronger than the revenant. The raiju's basically the terrifying lovechild of the demon and rev with both their strengths but none of their weaknesses. Super interesting tier list either way, it was a fun project! :3
I'd like to see an update for the latest ghost added, the Mimic. The fact it also has ghost orbs as evidence but it's "hidden" has caught us off guard a few times now, also on nightmare mode it's extra difficult as you basing the ghost off of behaviour doesn't work here as well. Then for the hunt I'm uncertain, it can mimic a strong ability from one of the s or a tier ghosts but also from f tier.
Was voting throughout the poll duration, and pretty much every ghost has ended up where I expected, though I would tweak c-d tiers a little. Still fun though! Would be interested in a community tier list for the maps or items!
I think Revenants are only overrated insofar as an experienced player is concerned. On a more general level, it's worth noting that Hunts, regardless of the ghost type, generate an enormous stress level spike the instant they happen. A great deal of players lack the steel nerves to handle this, even with standard speed ghost types. On top of this, efficient use of sprint is also not a commonly developed skill for these situations, nor is innate map knowledge of hiding spots or planning escape routes ahead of time. To cap it all off, players in general love to play with fire, and the Revenant, while no longer the only barracuda we occasionally encounter, still has the capacity to catch a player out of position and end their life in a couple of seconds, far faster than almost every other ghost type in the game. This, in combination with the previously mentioned factors, makes the Revenant still one of the most dangerous ghost types and well worth the S-Tier rating, in my opinion.
Pretty cool list. Most are where I expected them to be. I've got a couple hundred hours into the game now and the Raiju is the only ghost that kills me. Always unexpected when it hunts. I've still never had a Onryo though.
I’ve had so many poltergeists lately, like the last three games I played (which was strange). I’d say they should be closer to B rank because they were very active. One broke all of the lights in the room and somehow managed to fix one (the light came back on but couldn’t be turned off) and almost killed me (I don’t have a mic on, so it got naturally pissed). The others threw lots of objects and did lots of events, but did not hunt. One did break lights in other parts of the house and even messed with doors upstairs, but he himself was in the basement. Made me think Twins, but he gave evidence for Poltergeist, so I was confused. Otherwise, the list doesn’t seem too far off.
What would be really interesting to see is you and Insym getting together and discussing your viewpoints on the different ghosts (In particular the Rev and Jinn) and both of you can explain your arguments and perspective for and against each ghost to see if either of you can change the other's mind
Last time I had a Polti with 6 fingers and since I struggled finding evidence I just relied on those weird fingerprints and guessed Obake. Now I know that not only Obake has more or less than 5 fingers.
i agree. He's still more dangerous than most base-speed ghosts, but if you're able to break line of sight he is'nt so bad...i think he's overrated at this point
Honestly with the new sprint speed I've been able to outrun several ghosts, even ones down long corridors like the hallways in Highschool. I remain terrified of the Rev because I can't do that, and if it catches me off-guard there is nothing I can do.
I think the revenant and Raiju being at the top is correct. I actually think the Raiju is much better than the Rev due to the early hunt + speed can really put you in a bad position. The reason I think those two have to be at the top is because after you have played the game enough hunts are not scary, you know the places to hide, loop and how to survive. Anything that helps a ghost kill you during a hunt puts it higher, having to have a smudge just to survive a revenant hunt in the open is proof to the fact they are just better because you have to have an item to help. I agree with this list for the most part, I would lower Demon to C/D and nice twins and jinn to A teir. Banshee I would lower again although I play mostly solo nightmare, I agree with Nuzz here that the strength is a huge weakness, basically if I’m the target and know how to hide during hunts it doesn’t matter if my entire team make gigantic mistakes they are safe, how is that a strength I don’t understand?!
I honestly forgot about the phantoms special power when I voted. But I was rating based on how hard it was to get hunted for the low end and how much more fun it was to get hunted by fir the higher ones.
Thank you for valuing our time! So much information in less than 15 minutes! As for the tier list, Revenant more dangerous than Raiju? Come on, guys...
In the current meta I think rev is a little lower. If it early hunted, then it would continue to be top dog, but in my recent games, I can usually identify a rev before they go on a hunt, then by the time it hunts, you know your outs and probably have smudgies ready. Don't get me wrong, their speed is terrifying as fuck if you watch it with a smudge and in fact, I fucked up my timing with a smudge once, but they're fairly easy to identify and keep your sanity up to get all your evidence and objectives before you see a hunt. They're possibly scarier on large maps with long straights if you don't know it's a rev yet, but on the smaller maps you just want to give them head pats. I love the rev though, still one of my favs.
Wraith got way underrated. It's all fun until it hunts and teleports right next to you. Raiju belongs number one right now. Rev not that bad if you can break LoS.
Alright *cracks neck* this is gonna get ugly. Some people might know, I'm not a fan of the whole "Revenant is the God of ghosts" schtick that players give it. Revenants are dangerous yes, but only on players who are off guard. The odds of a Revenant seeing you when it hunts is very low against good players, heck even mediocre players like me know that if I get one of the Revenant's evidences you should be thinking of where to go and to prepare for it. The only ways Revenants kill you is if you are extremely unlucky, mistiming smudges and misplacing crucifixes, caught in the open which you shouldnt be doing at all in the first place, and not keeping up with your sanity. Yes I know Nightmare mode exists but even then you can play it like a normal game and be smart, if you get a possible Revenant, prepare ahead of time. It does not matter if it is a Revenant, Raiju, Demon, Mare, Hantu, or freaking Shade, have a plan to hide even if that hiding spot is garbage. If you die to a ghost it sucks, but if you die to a Revenant, the most predictable ghost with the slowest idle speed, you would have to basically run into it for it to be dangerous and even then they are incredibly weak when not hunting. No way to drop sanity, no way to early hunt, no way to cause more activity, no hidden abilities. "Ooohh this ghost fast, it most dangerous" my ass, if you want a deadlier ghost, Demons Raijus Yokai Onryos Mares Banshees Jinns Twins and even freaking Phantoms are more powerful than a Revenant. It's like the cheetah of ghosts: incredibly fast and that is it. Revenants are completely outclassed by Raijus because not only does a Raiju have the 2nd highest speed, it does not slow down to the Revenant's "ow my aching back" speed which is half the speed of smell. Not only that but Raijus can early hunt and can go fast without seeing the player at all, in fact the Raiju's weakness is either insignificant or bugged at this point in time. In my time playing Phasmo, which I started in January of this year (wow its that long? sheesh) I recall only dying to 3 to 4 Revenants mainly because I was not at my best in fact I was horrible, no timing no sense of hiding nothing, i was garbage yes. Know what I died more to, Phantoms Demons Yokai and Banshees. I know someone is gonna say "Oooh you died to a Phantom why didn't you hide" well if you cant see the damn ghost how will you know where it is coming from? My main point is if you let yourself die to a Revenant you are either unlucky or negligent in your gameplay, and if you perpetuate the stereotype they are the most dangerous ghost just because they can sprint, you are the same person who embodies someone who plays the same toxic playstyle in certain games (Original Gigachad tf2, Annihilator/Hybrid/Overlord in Diepio/Arassio, always using Garchomp in Pokemon, i could go on and i will, Scorpion mains in MK11, Brock Lesnar/Goldberg mains in HCTP, Wobbler Ice Climbers in Smash Melee) and if you say "what dont like getting (insert vulnerable position) then dont get (insert cause of position)." Tangent aside, Revenants are not the most powerful ghost in the game. They are strong IF you get caught, but otherwise they are absolutely wuss pusses.
Yeah, Revenants are incredibly easy to manage and escape once you know how to properly deal with them. They're like any other ghost type except they're very fast, that's it. Ghosts like the Demon deserve to be in S tier for their ability to start early hunts and continue them very regularly unless you really keep an eye out on your sanity. The Demon is the one ghost that actually forces me to properly manage sanity.
The Revenant in my opinion it would fit in A with the Demon. Yeah u can easily break lime of side and use smudge sticks. Not only that but we can sprint like zoom for 3 seconds so.. I think it fits with the Demon.
tbh i don't think anyone knew about the phantoms rare hidden power after the video, otherwise it would have ranked little higher, you can should also make your own ghost tier list as of now
Honestly I find the raiju more dangerous than the rev simply because the raiju can still, as long as you have a plan a rev is not that bad unless it catches you off guard. But with a raiju against a player like me who drops my camera giving the raiju power, I leave all electronics except for the spirt box on so it kicks my ass, but a rev not as much as long as I'm not in the hallway of high school
I'm surprised the Revenant placed higher than the Raiju. I find the Raiju much more terrifying than the Rev...break LOS on a rev and you can gain some distance, not hard to do unless you're on larger maps. But the Raiju does the same thing...except instead of needing line of sight, it only needs electronic equipment to zoom, so it can catch up to you SUPER QUICK even if you break LOS. Plus, early hunter.
I can see Demons being S tier too. Have had countless experiences when the hunts were so rampant, catching many off-guard. What if in the future they give Demon a speed boost too?
Revenants are still S tier and it's deserved, it might not early hunt and be slow outside of the line of sight, but if you're in a corner and it hunts outside of the room like it always does, it will punish you, granting you a quick and painless death, definitely not overrated, especially since the short grace period and hiding spots blocked
I would definitely put both Wraith and Phantom much higher than they are on this list. I'm especially surprised about Phantom's ranking... Interesting.
Easy solution, make it see through walls and then it becomes a confirmed death sentence. Obviously I said that as a meme but it would be pretty funny if the only defense was a Smudge stick
I know it's a community vote, but honestly I don't understand why raiju isn't numero uno on this list above all other ghosts. It seems the MOST threatening as it thrives off of the hunters equipment. And players cannot say they have the control to not throw down their flashlights and cameras thus powering up the raiju. I've died to raijus faster than I've had demons early hunt.
I believe not every ghost needs to be uniquely strong but the Myling is so bad. Its "strength" is actually a weakness (you hear ghost groans but no footsteps? EZ Myling) and I'm almost sure it was due to a bit of a time crunch to get get new ghost types out.
I have yet to get the twins since they were released with the other 3 ghost anyone else having this problem? They were the one i was looking forward to the most
I gave the Spirit a 4 solely because I always get mega-aggro Spirits as well, lol. It pains me to see it so low, all I can do is think back on all the times they scared the shit out of me-
for the next time you make this kind of video, the distribution of the ghosts in SABC tiers should not be determined by arbitrary cutoff-points, it would make much more sense for you to *assume* a statistical distribution and model the cuttoff-points from there. aka, anaylze the answer people give you, THEN model the cutoffpoints assuming *some* statistical distribution around the "average" ghost, will make the list feel much more natural avoiding the overcrowding in D making the powerlevel not as reliably compared in the grade
For me it's Raiju, Demon, Phantom, Rev, Twins as the "scariest" ghosts. Dropping my photocam while running away essentially gave a Raiju an adrenaline shot to come get me the first time I found one.. identifying them isn't the issue for me, it's a case of how likely am I to die 🥲
ngl oni should be higher and goryo should actually be lower. Reason for Oni: even if you're the only player, if everyone in the lobby exists it will actually start an entire series of interactions and events. Reason for Goryo: mostly because of it's weakness of not being seen that far from it's room
I think revs aren't that scary anymore because now every ghost is basically a rev after 5 seconds of LOS and the sprint is so good, maybe it needs a slight speed bost or an early hunt power
Personally disagree with the Jinn Mainly because OH LAWD have my team and I seen plenty of Jinn. And have we always been able to pin them based on sanity drain- We still go back and get evidence of course but we call it in advance.
90% of my free time has been dedicated to Dead By Daylight so I didn't make the connection between your account and "Wraith" and "Spirit" until I saw another ghost type that was not a killer in DBD...
“Shade is pretty shy” … welcome to trolling my friend, I always run away from my friends and they proceed to run around into different rooms shouting for me and well… let’s just say the shade does not like that lol (Also shade = favorite ghost :3)
The Revenant is definitely overrated. I think it's weaker than the Demon on this list because the Demon has the potential of locking you into chainhunts sooner than other ghosts. The Revenant only moves faster if it has line of sight of you and instantly slows back down once you break line of sight and is slower than other ghosts without line of Sight. The Raiju is absolutely the most dangerous ghost since it keeps its insane movement speed boosts without line of sight of you. The Raiju can be absolutely devastating against sloppy players or small maps.
Jeezz does kiddo still consider Revenant a dangerous? In the old way were there's lacks of safety equipment or sprinting haven't been added yet of course is scary..but now i don't think it's that menacing anymore after the update is very easy to catch them, afterall the only power matter on Revenant is speed nothing else if you have in the map that has many corner it's pretty easily to catch off their guard..
1. yokai is a wery stupid ghost. You can have youre flashlight on and hide without dying. It only hears voices and then Get easly mad by you takling. 2. wheres the mimic? 3. Why Wold rajiu be so high? I never had it being scary..

community item tier list? maybe also ranking the maps!! (love your videos :)) )
Community Map Tier List
we need a tierlist of maps based on the amount of showers the ghost can use. They want to stay clean (?
maybe a teirlist of hiding places in maps?
A weather tier list might be interesting
A list of things to make the ghosts in this game more challenging (this is of course coming in from a viewers perspective watching nuzz for so long)
Rev: make it 2x speed no matter what
Wraith: make it go through walls during hunts
Poltergeist: make throwing objects drain more sanity
Yurei: make it drain more sanity per minute.
Twins: make BOTH ghosts hunt you at the same time
Myling: make it even quieter during hunts.
Shade: make it hunt at 70% san if you are alone, but 50 if you are in a group
Spirit: make it do more ghost events to drain san, and make the smudge stick detour it for 120 seconds not 180
Mare: make it even more active while in dark, more ghosts events and stuff.
Banshee: make it more like old banshee where it was more likely to hunt early on and take away the ability to only hunt one person.
Demon: make it slightly faster during hunts, enough to make looping really difficult.
Phantom is good
Goryo: make it drain your sanity faster while looking for dots.
Hantu: make it rev speed in cold, and 1x player speed in warm.
Yokai: give it some hearing aids during hunts for goodness sake.
Oni: make it hunt a 5% sanity per person in group. ( ex: 4 people will make oni hunt at 70%)
Onryo: make it 1.25x player speed during hunts.
Hope this is a good idea... Lemme know by replying to this comment.
Also forgot to mention that jinn and raiju are good as well
It's weird seeing the Phantom so low down. Even aside from the warping ability, the simple fact of less visibility during hunts puts it above average for me. Maybe not a super-dangerous one, but certainly not a joke either.
I thought the same
I have a trillion hours on this game and never knew that the phantom could teleport. Even with that aside, I still would have ranked them higher, too.

Needless to say, I'm also surprised seeing the Phantom so low on this list. Same for Wraith as well. I would actually put them above Jinn.
@@MasterSB988 The Phantom would be above Jinn, but not the Wraith in my opinion
Something for RUclips watchers that may not have been able to read this story when I put it in chat:
One of the Phas Devs, I think C.J., once shared a story about when they were Playtesting Nightmare difficulty. The weather was foggy, and they didn't know there was a Hunt going until the Rev came barreling out of the fog at Mach 7
Lol
Ghostie goes zoom 🤣
Rev: HELLO
Lmao
Raiju can catch you off guard so easily, probably the one ghost I died to the most
I think the problem with these polls is that not all of the people answering even play Phasmo (maybe only just watch) 😔 Still, very interesting video!
I would have to agree. I refrained from answering any of the polls just because I haven't played consistently in several months, I don't feel like I have an accurate grasp on what ghosts are actually powerful or not - especially with the recent new additions.
Man that's sooo 😔. Honestly I feel sick hearing that
I will own up.
And most probably don't know most mechanics either.
idk about community tier list, but you should do a tier list on the difficulty of each ghost on nightmare difficulty. Some of the weaker ghosts on this list are actually fairly annoying to accurately identify on nightmare, like poltergeist, yurei, shade + oni (if on single player), banshee, and mare
I agree. Hantu and Jinn is pain to identify as well for me. On small maps it's really hard to test these two out
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he started doing these poll posts before the nightmare update. :’)
@@DarlingJubilee oh it wasn't a criticism of this video. It's just a suggestion for a new video he can make
he already has one but its an old video
Mare hate lights. Easy peazy
I thought that after the addition of Raiju and other ghosts, I won't care for Banshee, but I've had 2 Banshee experiences since the update that just made me scared of/hate/love Banshees more:
1. I always just throw a crucifix in the entrance of the house at the start of a mission and when my team and I went to turn on the breaker and came back to the entrance, the crucifix was already eaten out of
A rev is barely dangerous. Just break LOS, speed problem solved.
A rev killed me few days ago on one of the farmhouses, but mainly because we couldn't figure out where the ghost room is. Had no idea where to hide, I admittedly panicked a little when hearing the heartbeat and started running toward the stairs when it caught up to me ;-;
@@16eleonor A rev is still a dangerous Ghost because if he still have line of sight to you, you cant really escape him (only a smudgestick would save you there).
@@lordashton1777 yeah, I'm aware...but there was really nothing I could do at that point
0:12 I see Bella is in S tier where she belongs. Highly dangerous ghost, if you hear her say 'death' it's over
Dude I was one of those people which I must say is incredible. Excited to see everyone's opinions though.
I think Phantoms are way more scary than this tier list shows. I almost always feel like they're stalking me
Yes Phantoms should definitely be at least in B Tier in my opinion.
So if the devs want to make a new terrifying ghost, as long as it's fast you're pretty much done 😆
oh my gosh. I've been waiting for a new tier list for a while, then I see your video, tyssm
revs are a menace. still my most feared.
Would be interested in a community tier list for the maps or items!
awesome vid nuzz! Youre really nice to watch after getting off work with a snack. Keep on keeping on man
Great video! I miss the old days when you would start out behind the desk in asylum. Do you think you could do that again sometime? I loved that!
I once escaped a Raiju while stumbling trying to close the closet doors. Felt my heart out of my ribs.
Sadly all ghosts are 5 star deadly to me. I no longer go in the house when playing with friends because i can't survive hunts. Designated camera guy
I've still never had a Onryo though.
glad to be apart of it!
The Revenant USED to be the most dangerous, until they made every ghost catch up to you. Prior to that, you could just walk away.
Ok boomer
i agree. He's still more dangerous than most base-speed ghosts, but if you're able to break line of sight he is'nt so bad...i think he's overrated at this point
@@SgtReinolds who asked
Honestly with the new sprint speed I've been able to outrun several ghosts, even ones down long corridors like the hallways in Highschool. I remain terrified of the Rev because I can't do that, and if it catches me off-guard there is nothing I can do.
@@IHaveBeesInMyEars ok who asked
What if there is a small chance to get haunted by a Ravenent when running because it would see that as a challenge
It was fun to help with this
I honestly forgot about the phantoms special power when I voted. But I was rating based on how hard it was to get hunted for the low end and how much more fun it was to get hunted by fir the higher ones.
Thank you for valuing our time! So much information in less than 15 minutes!
As for the tier list, Revenant more dangerous than Raiju? Come on, guys...
Raiju is broken it can be so fast and its speed isnt limited
I would love to see your thoughts on this subject, Nuzz! What would you rank them as?
rev i still feel like is the strongest ghost
The community tier list was participated by people who hve less than lvl 1k.
Community tier list on map difficulty for Nightmare!
i wanna see ghost combos. i have no idea what half of that would look like, but imagine a twin revenant.
tbh i don't think anyone knew about the phantoms rare hidden power after the video, otherwise it would have ranked little higher, you can should also make your own ghost tier list as of now
This polls were so fun
Honestly I find the raiju more dangerous than the rev simply because the raiju can still, as long as you have a plan a rev is not that bad unless it catches you off guard. But with a raiju against a player like me who drops my camera giving the raiju power, I leave all electronics except for the spirt box on so it kicks my ass, but a rev not as much as long as I'm not in the hallway of high school
I think the rev is more dangerous on big maps because of the long hall ways with large lines of sight
Revenants are still S tier and it's deserved, it might not early hunt and be slow outside of the line of sight, but if you're in a corner and it hunts outside of the room like it always does, it will punish you, granting you a quick and painless death, definitely not overrated, especially since the short grace period and hiding spots blocked
i cringe from the fact that phantom - one of the scariest ghosts in the game is only D tier
I think jinn should be an A I’ve had them on asylum when I was playing with a new player and that sanity drain was brutal
I’ve been noticing the ranking man!! I voted too.

We all know where Revenant and Raiju are going to be at don’t we?
I would definitely put both Wraith and Phantom much higher than they are on this list. I'm especially surprised about Phantom's ranking... Interesting.
Personally i'd switch Phantom and Banshee and this list would be pretty accurate
Honestly, I would love to see a buff for the Revenant. Maybe something to do with its line of sight. Make it a little more threatening
Easy solution, make it see through walls and then it becomes a confirmed death sentence.
Obviously I said that as a meme but it would be pretty funny if the only defense was a Smudge stick
community tier list about the items in the game maybe?
They need to buff revenant
Probably put rev one tier lower (next to demon) and Phantom one tier higher and I'm fine with this (switch wraith and poltergeist and it is perfect)
I have yet to get the twins since they were released with the other 3 ghost anyone else having this problem? They were the one i was looking forward to the most
I'd think the phantom would be higher as well
I run into hyper aggressive spirits to the point I mistake them for demons fairly often.
I gave the Spirit a 4 solely because I always get mega-aggro Spirits as well, lol. It pains me to see it so low, all I can do is think back on all the times they scared the shit out of me-
@@meltheteagobbo i had a chain hunting sprit go 8 times in a row bearly 2 minutes into a match, I guessed demon
for the next time you make this kind of video, the distribution of the ghosts in SABC tiers should not be determined by arbitrary cutoff-points, it would make much more sense for you to *assume* a statistical distribution and model the cuttoff-points from there. aka, anaylze the answer people give you, THEN model the cutoffpoints assuming *some* statistical distribution around the "average" ghost, will make the list feel much more natural avoiding the overcrowding in D making the powerlevel not as reliably compared in the grade
Damn right, Bella is a S Tier ghost.
my friends gave my little daughter the name little revenant because i can't escape when she comes in the room, definitely a top one XD
The banshee early hunt power is far too rare. I'm level 800 with 200 hours played and have only seen a banshee hunt early once.
I think raiju is more dangerous than rev ngl. After playing against both i noticed that raiju hunts sooner and is faster and doesn't slow down
Honestly I think when playing solo the Twins are a lot weaker because you can just hog sanity pills to avoid the hunting situation.
I think revs aren't that scary anymore because now every ghost is basically a rev after 5 seconds of LOS and the sprint is so good, maybe it needs a slight speed bost or an early hunt power
We all knew the rev would be in S tier.
Personally disagree with the Jinn
Mainly because OH LAWD have my team and I seen plenty of Jinn.
And have we always been able to pin them based on sanity drain-
We still go back and get evidence of course but we call it in advance.
90% of my free time has been dedicated to Dead By Daylight so I didn't make the connection between your account and "Wraith" and "Spirit" until I saw another ghost type that was not a killer in DBD...
Move rev one down and yokai/phantom/mare up one and it's a solid list.
“Shade is pretty shy”
… welcome to trolling my friend, I always run away from my friends and they proceed to run around into different rooms shouting for me and well… let’s just say the shade does not like that lol
(Also shade = favorite ghost :3)
Basically if its fast its S tier
Phantom and yokai should be top 3
I am surprised
The Revenant is definitely overrated. I think it's weaker than the Demon on this list because the Demon has the potential of locking you into chainhunts sooner than other ghosts. The Revenant only moves faster if it has line of sight of you and instantly slows back down once you break line of sight and is slower than other ghosts without line of Sight. The Raiju is absolutely the most dangerous ghost since it keeps its insane movement speed boosts without line of sight of you. The Raiju can be absolutely devastating against sloppy players or small maps.
I think Mimic would be A or S tier because of how annoying it can be
Jeezz does kiddo still consider Revenant a dangerous? In the old way were there's lacks of safety equipment or sprinting haven't been added yet of course is scary..but now i don't think it's that menacing anymore after the update is very easy to catch them, afterall the only power matter on Revenant is speed nothing else if you have in the map that has many corner it's pretty easily to catch off their guard..
Bruh raiju is the easiest to identify because you walk in and at starts fucking with your electronics
Im scared of demons but not revenants.. ive outran them multiple times
D tier is where the party’s at lol
