He could work on his app now and get that done before mcat prep. Prewrite his activities and PS and have it ready to go so come May/June can just plug them into the amcas and submit on time. Then take the mcat by June 30th. Don’t underestimate writing out your app !!!!
Its late yes but that does not mean you will get rejected especially if you have schools in your state that prefer in state students in this case August is fine. Out of state might be difficult
Hello Dr.Gray, is it okay if I start the application process in May ? (submitting) To be considered an early applicant but do my Mcat in June 16 of this year.
@@MedicalSchoolHQso I might be screwed. lol. I'm retaking July 16. Everything else is ready to go...just need that mcat retake. Didn't do practice questions the first time I took the MCAT. Now that I'm using third party practice questions, I've noticed my score has significantly improved.
There isn't much biochemistry on the MCAT and high school physics plus a Kaplan, Princeton Review or Berkeley MCAT review physics book should be sufficient. Force yourself to do 2-3 pages a day and make flash cards for basic formulas.
Highly disagree! Biochemistry is arguable the MOST important subject on the mcat as you’ll see a ton of it in both Bio/Biochem and Chem/Phys sections. Pls don’t spread this false rhetoric
If you are worried about biochemistry get the Board Review Series Book Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics ,, It will cover the material not covered in biology courses
It is as if you have a tracker on my browser and knew I NEEDED this video right now! Thank you Dr. Gray!!!

LOVE your videos!!!
Do you also consider a retake for august 20th too late for this application cycle? Does it change how they view one’s application?
We don't advise to take it later than June 30. - MW

Biochemistry is the topic that shows up most on the MCAT. Go check the outline. It’s everywhere except for cars.
First!
